  1. The conspiracy theorists on Facebook reckon Lee swiped Whitney's phone before he left for work. Even though we seen Whitney with it in the pub. The actor who plays Lee is supposedly departing though, as is Babe. Interesting. Speaking of Billy, where is he? Last we saw on Monday, he and Jay were stuck in traffic at the West 'am ground and all of a sudden Jay was in the thick of it last night but no Billy. Big plot twist?
  2. I have to thank you. It's only dawned on me now why you can't approach players from Russia, Brazil etc. On pre contracts. [emoji23] Had no idea that the Bosman rule was just EU specific, thought it was just a football rule tbh. Wonder if this will implicate real life.
  3. Decided to have a wee go in the Championship, and where better than Dundee United. First season was a success. Signed Lewis Vaughan from Raith who banged them in with Matty Knox and Zak Rudden as back up. Won the league with 5 to spare, won the Irn Bru Cup beating Hibs 4-0 in the final, lost the Scottish Cup final to Celtic beating Rangers and Aberdeen along the way and got to the Quarters of the Betfred Cup losing 5-0 Hearts. Sold Charlie Telfer for £625k in January to Derby and Coll Donaldson for £130k to Gillingham in summer. But Thompson is a tight arse and I got practically hee haw to spend. Didn't sign too many players, Paul Hanlon from Hibs for £150k and an Argentinian winger called Bazan on a free. Struggled for form in the Premiership, and picked up just 2 wins from 10, against Aberdeen and Celtic funnily. Sacking was imminent and a 2-1 defeat to Rangers meant I had to jump before pushed. Spend 6 month unemployed hoping to get back in to a Championship club. Was linked with Hibs but didn't materialise, the took Steven Pressley instead. [emoji23] Knocked back offers from Elgin, Albion and Montrose before finally accepting an offer from Cowdenbeath in May 2018. Romped League 2 in my first season, with the highlights being a 8-1 win vs Annan, 7-0 away to Edinburgh City and 7-1 vs Cumbernauld (promoted via playoffs). Dished out a few other skelpings scoring 99 goals in total. Just finished my 2nd season in charge. Lost the League One title on the last day to Ayr. Won the playoffs relegating Dumbarton, beating them 5-1 at The Rock and 4-0 at Central Park. Spectacularly I also took the Blue Brazil to the semi's of the Scottish Cup. Comfortable wins vs Brechin and Cumbernauld saw me face Aberdeen. A 2-1 win put us in the Quarters where we beat Partick 2-0. Lost 4-2 in extra time to Hibs at Hampden in the semi finals. The Championship awaits!
  4. Took Chorley to the Conference, Yas! All the crew from Chorley FM were there to witness and people had the result of our play-off coming in their ears.
  5. February 2018 on my Chorley save. A fairly strong start to the campaign has saw me sit in the play-off spots for most of the season. Got to the 2nd round of the FA Cup beating Carlisle in the first round, and narrowly losing 1-0 to Preston in the 2nd. Lost in the 3rd round of the FA Trophy too, throwing away a 2-0 lead away to Dagenham, but a decent run by all means. Due to our wee cup runs, the league results started tailing off a bit leading up to Christmas. I was originally playing a flat 4-4-2, but a few free signings in the wingers department, including Jennison Myrie-Williams, saw me change to inverted wingers which has saw a massive upturn in results. My last 3 league results have saw me pick up 6-4 and 6-1 wins away to Gloucester and Workington respectively, and a 9-3 demolition of Brackley at home. Despite those scores, I'm still 5th. Onwards and upwards!
  6. Started a season last night with Newcastle. Signed Paterson and Cummings amongst others but couldn't settle on a formation really, and was sacked sitting 5th by Christmas. Applied for every job going to bash on and was offered Chorley in the Vanarama North. Sat 20th with 5 wins all season and without a win since September 24th, I would've been happy to finish comfortably in mid table. A 2-0 win at home to Fylde on New Year's Day started things off well, and now, I'm 2 points off the play offs, with 11 wins and 7 draws in my 18 games in charge. I'll be back to show Newcastle they made a mistake. [emoji5]
  7. Hibs sacked Lennon after 5 games on mine. Worst part is he won his first 2 matches. [emoji23] Warburton, McInnes and McGhee punted as well and I'm only in November.
  8. More than enough to satisfy a fix, but sometimes it just isn't quite the same. I like to get right in depth with my finances etc. Which you can't do on the mobile.
  9. I play the mobile version and there's not another game on that format like it. Addictive and great to play at work or travelling etc. One of these games you can literally just pick up and play when you like. I play older versions on laptop which still satisfies me.
  10. Like the idea of this. Shame I'm stuck in the age of FM 2008. Can still be done though, just rules out Scotland.
  11. Going to Germany again next month for Schalke vs Dortmund and again in May for Schalke vs Augsburg. Getting to the point that it's not really random anymore I guess.
  12. Edinburgh Castle collapsed in 1963 when the first American tourists stepped on the esplanade. More volcanic rock was built on top of the existing pile to strengthen the castle before it was completely rebuilt and opened in 1965.
  13. Did you enjoy Düsseldorf mate? I was there the weekend after you. Stayed there on the Friday and stayed in Gelsenkirchen on the Saturday, taking in Schalke vs Paderborn and having a good old knees up with the Schalke fans. Loved Düsseldorf too, only stayed the Friday night but had time to go a wee walk down to the Rheinturm and the weather was scorching too. Going back in May again as my previous post reads, but a wee look at fixtures shows that Fortuna Düsseldorf are at home to FSV Frankfurt on the Sunday so will try get to that too. Picked myself up a wee Fortuna scarf when I found a wee club shop near the Rhein. Maroon and white so I couldn't resist.
  14. In what way? It's the best place to keep up to date with Hearts news and plenty of Hearts debate goes on there too, aside from the odd unsavoury comment for the sake of sarcastic humour.
  15. Following from my recent trip to Gelsenkirchen for Schalke vs Paderborn, I'm heading back over next May to watch them play Augsburg. Can't wait.
  16. Safe to say we will have the best looking team in the league next season.
  17. No chance of him joining the long list of many who were released for 'being too small'. Some size for a laddy and apparently good with the ball at his feet too. Could easily be 6ft6, 6ft7 when he breaks in the first team.
  18. I'm in Dusseldorf on the Friday night but the reason I'm staying in Gelsenkirchen on the Saturday is I've been informed about 'the Party Zone'.
  19. When he first broke into the first team, he seemed to have it all. Was a big fan of his and still think he's a good talent but he strikes me as being fairly lazy and doesn't look to determined to win himself a starting place over Gomis, Buaben or Pallardo, not like it's easy to do so however. Robinson at least looks motivated, unfortunately for him though he's the worst out the 5.
  20. To be honest, I'd have liked another winger on loan or on a short term deal just to prevent King and Nicholson from becoming burnt out. I'd still brace myself for losing Holt or Robinson. It's the one position in the team that doesn't need strengthened. I wouldn't see the logic in losing both but first team opportunities could be limited for both.
  21. Who can forget the time they made monkey noises at Ibrahim Tall at ER when statistically 64% of their starting XI contained players of an ethnic minority.
