  1. Bringing in Rob Dickie from Reading. Johnston would be a good signing. Heffernan is done and Willie Gros never even got started. Avoid & avoid.
  2. He got an automatic extension after featuring in enough games last season, so will be contracted until June 2016.
  3. Arsenal left-back Ilias Chatzidheodoridis is on trial. Possibly a 6-month loan deal.
  4. Hospitality at the regular prices has always been a rip-off. Only worth it if/when there's an offer on.
  5. Admission prices, if bought in advance, are very acceptable in terms of the rest of the league.
  6. And that was my point. We need to find some way to use his skills, which can come in very handy in this league. If he continues to play like he did for long periods of last season then he won't be in the team, which would be a shame as we could do with being more aggressive. Channelling that side of his game is a challenge, but I hope we manage to do it.
  7. If he plays the way he did against Partick Thistle in last season's penultimate game then he has a big part to play for us next season.
  8. Right, it was only a pre-season game. I'm happy to have signed him too, but we'll wait to see if he can replicate that form once the league campaign starts before rubbing salt in the wounds of Thistle fans.
  9. I really wouldn't like to say as her brother is one of my good mates...
  10. I'm 90% sure that's the sister of a regular P&B user.
  11. Good to hear, mate. I've been playing regular football and been training with an amateur team so finding the same as you in terms of being tired. Got a week off whilst I wait to start a new job on Monday, and it's strange being in the flat myself all day whilst the Mrs is at work. Found myself going three/four hour long walks to keep my head clear. Found a wee spot in the country between Hurlford and Loudoun Castle that feels a million miles from anything, and that's my go to spot now for some alone time. Its amazing how being alone in a flat is so much worse for negative thoughts than being out on your own in nature. Certainly for me anyway. Finding that being out there is the only time I can write anymore, so hoping that once the new job kicks in the prospect of being stuck between four walls won't stifle things as much. As with others, if anyone ever needs to chat then drop me a PM. I'll likely be awake all hours this week after two nights up watching the wrestling B)
  12. Hmmm... I've seen a lot of him and that wouldn't be the first thing I commented on about his game. In fact, he's quite the opposite. Pooler likes to link up play and go beyond the defence, rather than shoot from distance. Possibly someone saw him last night and he was simply trying too hard against his former club, but you'll see what I mean as the season goes on. A technically gifted lad, that is probably more comfortable on the wing or in an attacking midfield role than as the lone striker. Hope he does well though.
  13. He's a great signing in terms of a development player, but I can't see the Muirhead comparisons myself. Robbie is big, gangly and has a powerful strike whereas Pooler is small, quick and a good finisher. Still don't understand why we let him go, maybe it was a case of him wanting more first-team football and St Mirren have promised him more of a chance? Best of luck to the kid though, an exciting player to watch.
  14. Col. Sanders owned slaves, and allegedly donated money to the KKK so I'd say you were right.
  15. Emmanuel Frimpong wants to leave Russia. Could KFC be his likely destination? http://futbolgrad.com/the-emmanuel-frimpong-incident-a-commentary/
  16. Ashcroft is in the same boat as McKenzie and Johnston for me. There's definitely promise there, but either he isn't being coached properly or he isn't taking the coaching on board. I'm starting to believe that LA and CJ are to join Ross Barbour in the 'not good enough for this level' grouping of goslings.
  17. There was talk of Eckersley at the start of pre-season, but that vanished when we signed Smith. If we sign another left-back it'll be a young guy who can still qualify for the development squad but provide backup to Smith.
  18. There was rumours a week or so ago, and he was up for talks over a loan deal. But has signed for Doncaster on a permanent two-year deal today.
  19. Aaron Taylor-Sinclair? He was on trial about six months ago and wasn't offered a contract.
  20. No we don't. We have plenty of wingers (Obadeyi/McKenzie/Higinbotham/Kiltie/Splaine/Magennis) and more than enough strikers (Boyd/Carrick/Magennis/McKenzie). All we need IMO is a left-back.
  21. If we bring in Zaliukas, could there be the possibility of going 5-3-2? MacDonald Connolly Findlay Zaliukas Westlake Smith Hamill Robinson Slater Higginbotham Boyd
