What a day, currently buying a new build and waiting for the part-exchange survey to happen so trying to persuade them to issue all the paperwork on the reservation. No paperwork meant no mortgage and lots of rates are going up or mortgages just being removed. Managed to get a deal at 4.95% and been told that I'm lucky to get that!

Tubes's Golf Life YouTube channel is really good, yes there is a bit of the "bants" about it but it's good to see them play good and bad. Bullard was a good addition and he seems to take golf a lot more seriously than he did football, it would be good to see him as part of the Sky Golf line up.

Just had a look at mine and they have put up my direct debit by £100 a month! Didn't even have the courtesy to tell me!! I used 25% less electricity than they forecast between August 1st and January 31st. They are saying that I might end up using more between February and July and saying the usage would be 150% more than the same period last year!!

Whilst I would love to spend a few grand on a set of clubs the decimal point was firmly placed to keep it in the hundreds! I got a set of 5-11 TR20P irons in the AG sale, they were the ex-demo ones. Only one club had been used and the wrapper was still on the grip. Standard regular flex on them but they are quite light. Definitely in the entry level of Honma irons but the shafts and the forged heads just felt so much better than the equivalent Cobras, Callaways and TaylorMades at an equivalent price point. I used them for the first time in anger on Saturday and were really impressed but I have made the leap from an old set of Adams A50S irons so most things would have been an improvement.

New irons day yesterday, my old ones were 10 years old and got a cracking deal on a set of Honmas. I tried a few sets from the usual suspects of Cobra, Callaway, TaylorMade etc but these ones just felt so much better and I was striking the ball cleaner as well.

I wonder if they do other clubs....

That King of the Mountain stage is a killer with so many false summits and that blooming piper teasing you thinking that you've got to top but still got a little bit to go.

Cheers Velo, I was in two minds to sell it but will keep it as I didn't realise how backwards compatible di2 was so a couple of new components and a new paint job is in order. I'll definitely get in touch with them and see what they say! I'm back on the MTB just cycling round the block at about 3mph but I'm getting there as my balance is coming back.

I had a TIA a few weeks ago and have been trying to tell the wife to send the defender in for a make over as I have a sob story now! They must have have thousands of applications for Landies and I'm recovering well so I'm not holding out much hope! I don't mind Tim as it's just a persona but reading up on him it turns out he is a highly skilled engineer who was apparently some sort of prodigy.

The only surprise I have is that he seemed to have the presence of mind to have deleted it before anyone screenshot it. I suspect that would probably be from self preservation rather than common decency. Very crass indeed.
