Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...
Mark Connolly replied to well fan for life's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
These are the same p***ks who hit "reply all" on emails -
SSN said that Duffman had knocked another 5 or 6 back on the basis that they had too many conditions Not really - at least not initially. He bought Stockport and all their assets including Edgeley Park and the training ground. He subsequently sold Stockport to a Supporters group (like the ones constantly suggested on Rangers Madia (sp?)), but the transfer didn't include EP. The Supporters group then ran Stockport into admin a few years later. Kennedy also served on the Scottish Rugby board for a while. Not sure if anyone else will remember the sh*tstorm at Murrayfield when Phil Anderton (later of Hearts) was sacked by the blazer brigade for attempting to run the business properly and make them pay for tickets instead of travelling all over on the SRU's bill. Kennedy came in as a non-exec director, and was part of the group which oversaw the move to a significantly better off-field structure and business model which is slowly starting to produce the goods at youth and pro level (although sadly not at international atm!). He is not the kind of guy to suffer fools, and from a neutral point of view, it could be brilliant to see him rip into the SPL and SFA. Would also be interesting to see if he moved Glasgow Warriors into Ibrox and rented space to Rangers!

I have these - Burner irons. Got them when they first came out in 2009, and very comfortable to hit. Not sure how much you want to spend, but that's a good price for a very good set of irons. I would suggest going into the pro shops and seeing if they have any deals on - either on new clubs or 2nd hand. Golf clubs are full of people who will bin a set as a result of one bad round, so you can often pick up some really nice (and barely used) stuff for huge discounts. As for drivers, avoid the white pieces of p*sh that everyone seems to be selling now, and go for a model or two back. I have a Taylor Made R9, but have a look at companies like Benross, who would be an entry level-type that does the job, and will help you improve without throwing money away.

So Rangers sold out two games - which most people would expect a club with your fan base to do anyway, especially when one of those games is against Hearts Rangers fans pledged millions to a fund - how much money actually changed hands? It's very easy to say you will give money, much harder to actually get hold of it. The Blue Knights - also known as the consortium headed by two guys who were on the board when David Murray got them in the sh*t. One of whom is being done for tax evasion in South Africa. They sound like great guys Again on the protests? "Travelling" to help Dunfermline. Forgive my cyncism, but I wonder how many of those people will actually be travelling to Fife, and how many are already there. And boycotting Dundee United. Yes, how dare they ask for the money they are owed. And how dare they sell the tickets themselves to make sure they actually get paid. Scum of the highest order!

I asked the question yesterday - in all seriousness, what were Rangers fans doing about it? There were thousands backing them through the times when they were winning the titles and racking up the debt, but when it became an issue, the best ideas were "let's have an orange top" and "youse need us". The share issue was almost totally ignored, and was there a viable alternative to Whyte? And as for the protests at Ibrox, the less said, the better! As I mentioned, when Celtic were in the sh*t, their fans put hands in pockets. Dundee did the same, and I am certain that United fans and fans of other clubs would too. So why didn't Rangers fans do anything? Please bear (no pun etc) in mind that this is not a dig at you personally, but I would imagine you are in a stronger position to answer than I am!

True, but that is £18m of debt to Lloyds that no longer needs serviced, or £24m owed to Ticketus which no longer needs serviced. Surely that money then becomes available to service other debts? No? As for the Ticketus deal - if Rangers aren't liable, who is? And once again, how do you sell something that doesn't belong to you?
