  1. I can't see the new board being idiotic enough to appoint yet another inexperienced manager, so with that in mind I reckon Miller's out the running. Especially with all the talk of us possibly going down the hybrid route next season.
  2. No surprise about Dowds he was just about as scunnered with the club as we are. Worked his socks off for the team when he did play and managed to add goals to his game also so good luck to him. Our striking options as it stands for next season are Finlay Malcolm and Jaime Wilson.
  3. Headless chicken who loves an injury. Just what we need.
  4. They said in the Rennie update that the process was already underway so they obviously have people they fancy for it.
  5. I wouldn't mind giving him a go as the right winger next season, He's horrid defensively but has some gallop on him and he's also got a good cross on him. I'd keep Mcguffie as a squad player given he's fairly versatile and has shown flashes of quality. Hetherington's been better the last few games but I doubt he's got enough quality to turn it around completely so I'd like to see him moved on. It's really not for the lack of trying he's just not good enough on the ball and too slow to be used as just a ball winner. Hopefully the new managers announced soon so he can start building the squad for next season straight away.
  6. At least Mccann might actually get on the park if it is Murray.
  7. His Airdrie sides won a fair few games against us since we've been down here. Airdrie W7 D2 L1
  8. I too liked both Hetherington & Miller's interviews which obviously makes a change from listening to Rennie trying to out a positive spin on a shite result. Wouldn't mind Murray given it would stop Airdrie having our number for yet another season but I can't understand why he would want to entertain coming to us when he can still take Airdrie up through the play offs.
  9. I can't get behind someone who played 4-6-0 from the start in a competitive fixture.
  10. I'd have him over some of the other names mentioned. Done a great job with Raith over the years, made the incredibly stupid decision to sign Goodwillie but on the whole a decent manager who seems to have some decent contacts in the game given he's always done quite well with loans. He's also not afraid to give youths their chance in the first team.
  11. The PLAYERS have also been coming and going like chameleons for years. So we're well aware of that. You should be also, given you've signed a full team of our rejects over the last few years.
  12. Get the feeling if Rennie wanted the gig he would have been here next season, especially given the statement says it was his decision. In his post match interview last week he mentioned he'd been talking to players about signing on with us next season so I imagine that's why they've mentioned he'll be working with the board on plans for next season. With the position we're in as a club at the moment we'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel, names like Johnston, Mcintyre & Mcpherson being mentioned just shows that.
  13. Given our season is now effectively over it would be nice to get a bit of clarity from the board what the next steps are. I'd imagine they're obviously in discussions with Rennie at the moment but hopefully it's a case of 'thanks very much, see you later' he's not shown enough in the 6 months to merit a chance next season. Who comes in next is anybody's guess, advertise now so the candidates get a look at what they are going to be potentially working with next season and can then hopefully start working in the background on the squad until Rennie's contract is up. Someone with experience in Scotland, a good set of contacts as we need a fair few favours and someone who won't take a lack of effort from the team he creates.
  14. He's not really wrong is he, TFS is a difficult venue for us home fans to go to.
  15. We really need someone with decent contacts though as we're going to need a fair few favours next season in order to sort that squad out.
  16. Not a chance we can't afford to have another manager who's only just learning his trade. The list was shocking when Sheerin went, god knows what it's going to be now especially given the squad we have remaining for next season.
  17. Can essentially write the script now. Scudded off of Queens Park on the 30th of April, 1st of May Rennie announced on a 1 year deal for next season, 2nd of May renewed deals for ATS & Gary Miller. Boom season 2022/23 over.
  18. Dixon aiming a dig at Rennie in the herald whilst also admitting the season was thrown in September. https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/sport/football/paul-dixon-says-the-bairns-season-fell-apart-in-september-3645965
  19. Things just get better and better for next season.
  20. We've seen Martin play and I don't think we have to see Holt play given Gretna sent him back from his loan. But either Martin's injured or he's had a falling out with Rennie as he's not been in any of the match day squads for a while.
  21. They're all soft as shite and relatively small.
  22. Nesbitt's got to go for me as he can only really play as the 10 and even then Telfer's much better than him in that position. The full core of the team needs redone yet again for about the 3rd or 4th season running. 13 signed players for next season already which means there's going to have to be a hell of a lot of wheeling and dealing to try clear out the dross. I'd keep Mcguffie, Williamson and Martin on as back ups but that being said Martin's been posted missing for the past few months. Goalkeeper Paddy Martin Luke Holt - Get Rid Defenders Ryan Williamson Brad Mckay - Please Get Rid Leon Mccann Paul Watson Midfielders Callumn Morrison Steven Hetherington - Get Rid Aidan Nesbitt - Get Rid Craig Mcguffie Seb Ross - Get Rid Strikers Jaime Wilson - Get Rid Finlay Malcolm
  23. Noticed Darren Barr was mentioned as one of the academy coaches in that last academy update. Is it thee Darren Barr? The list of out of contract players below, I'd only really be looking to keep a hold of Telfer. Mutch is a decent keeper but I'd imagine he'll be on a fair whack at this level so it's probably time for him to move on. Dixon & Miller are both done, Taylor Sinclair & Ompreon are rotten, Griffiths hasn't been worth the money, Dowds will obviously be away and the youngsters clearly aren't fancied. Goalkeeper Robbie Mutch Defenders Paul Dixon Blair Sneddon Cammy Williamson Mackenzie Lemon Aaron Taylor Sinclair Midfielders Gary Miller Charlie Telfer Ben Weekes Strikers Leigh Griffiths Anton Dowds Samuel Ompreon
  24. Kabia's been a standout, argueably one of the best players in the league. Griffiths was a gamble we simply just had to take or Jaime Wilson was our only option as a sub upfront. Jacobs is a far better midfielder than Hetherington or Miller, I just think Rennie's mismanaged that one by constantly dropping him in and out of the team. He needed a consitent run of games. Watson was again a case of we simply had to sign him as there wasn't anything else on the horizon. Again I don't think the 5 at the back suits him at all, especially having to play with Mckay on one side and ATS on the other. ATS is a donkey so I'm not even going to try build a case for him. Mills is an 18 year old who's still in my opinion streets ahead of Mckay & ATS and I'd happily have him back in amongst the squad next season.
