  1. Wot, nothing for 15 minutes? When almighty Armageddon is forecast for Rangers?
  2. Not yet, but it's gonna happen. HMRC source confirmed it to me months ago, and is the reason they were emphatic about the CVA. Apart from the fact that it is their policy, now they can pursue the culprits with liquidation. Jeez, The Rangers are shafted on so many fronts, they are sitting ducks. And can anyone pinpoint what Traynor's problem is? Apparently he was bleating about Rangers being punished enough on the radio tonight. This is great, gets my blood boiling. Grrrr! One more thing: Doncaster wouldn't be interviewed today after the SPL decision. Not even he can smarm his way out of this one.
  3. I know we want The Rangers punished severely, but they surely have to be allowed to ply their trade as a football club on some level? Would they not have a case for restriction of trade or something?
  4. Will be delighted to change my name to Chazza2003. Apart from Queen of the South winning the Scottish Cup and United winning a League Cup, anybody got a list of who wins what now? Celtic do God knows how many in a row too, of course. Might eclipse the Stein years.
  5. Ha ha. Best joke I've seen all day. Better tell HMRC to stop right now then. Think you'll find the perpetrators are in hiding, cos the Big Bad Tax Man is gonna get them. Agree that The Rangers aren't liable there, more's the pity. They can only be shafted on three fronts now.
  6. Seconded. Rangers can try appealing all over the shop but we don't have time for that. The SFA/SPL have to act for the sake of Scottish football, and they have to take their punishment. Otherwise, it's chaos. What league do they play in while this mess is being sorted out?
  7. So they have to face: 1) Newco vote 2) SPL sanctions over dual contracts 3) SFA disrepute punishment With all this mud clinging to them, how can they be admitted to the SPL? And they bleat "We've suffered enough." Not likely, much worse is to come. To think I thought losing the BTC was the biggie. Well, it is for D Murray esq, formerly of Monaco.
  8. Have a look at this little lot. Word 'speculation' is used, mind. Basically, it says Livingston cheated in 2005, when Dundee were relegated, and Campbell Ogilvie was implicated as he advised Livi how to sign Hassan Kachloul. Then the whole thing was swept under the carpet, as it would have uncovered the whole Rangers EBT scam. http://rangerstaxcase.wordpress.com/2012/06/12/what-now-for-rangers/comment-page-67/#comment-113507
  9. Just had to get on to this page. Dundee's only Scottish Cup win, at Ibrox funnily enough, after three games against Clyde. So there is a connection. Funny how so many teams are being dragged into this now. Liked the Dumbarton fan's bemusement about his team's first game: away to Dundee/Airdrie/TRFC?
  10. It's July 4, as there have to be 14 clear days between the application and the meeting. Independence Day.
  11. Come on, you can't separate old and new Rangers in spirit. As a legal entity, yes. Only a fool would think that way.
  12. So no 'Rangers' in any form in the fixture list. Marvellous. I reckon they won't be in the SPL next season.
  13. Sorry, but I see the SFA intervention as a positive move. Then the league can do what they want with Rangers instead of waiting for the truly pathetic SPL to act.
  14. Afraid Somerset's not in the same league, literally. By the way, overhead kick goals should be disallowed for dangerous play. Only kidding, it was one of the best goals I've ever seen, a peach.
  15. Why won't this brave new world be in place for next season? Postpone the start of the season, and give Celtic the chance to swan off for a few friendlies in Afghanistan, reminding them that this is the last time they get dispensation to do this. What a f...ing ridiculous idea, typical of the Old Firm-loving creation that the SPL is. Try imagining them allowing to allow any other club off a league game or two? Aye right. And the SFA can then demote Rangers to the Third/Second. I certainly don't see it as a way of keeping them in the top flight. Far from it.
  16. Got to say I was disappointed in Cliftonhill when we played Accies there and John Robertson scored for Dundee. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was hoping it would be. That was about 20 years ago, mind. Two other grounds come to mind as being much worse. Cowdenbeath. Need I say more. And Firhill. Not getting at you guys as Thistle are a fine club, but back in January, with fans on two sides of the ground, wind and rain, is as bleak a football prospect as I ever want to witness, and never want to see again. To dispel another myth, I think Cappielow is a tidy wee ground, which I really enjoy visiting. With the setting near the river, the cranes and all, it looked lovely in the September/April whenever it was sunshine.
  17. With Jim Spence's news that the SFA will merge the SPL and SFL, it looks like Rangers have done Scottish football a massive favour and for that we should be forever grateful. Don't mind spending another year in the First if play-offs are brought in, or reconstruction, pyramid systems, the lot. And there's no humming and hawing about thisl If the SFA decide to do it, it will be done. Amen.
  18. From today's Daily Telegraph, by Roddy Forsyth: "Rangers cannot be incorporated into the fixture list because the Ibrox administrators still hold the club’s share in the SPL but have no players and no stadium." Ha ha. Bit of a drawback, eh? Full story here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9335076/Rangers-to-be-excluded-from-SPL-fixture-list.html
  19. Few more nails in Gers coffin on beeb last night. Aberdeen definite no to newco now after that Gers guy's comments. Spence's line about 2 other SPL clubs (Killie + 1) ready to go newco if Gers succeed is shocking and shows it can't be allowed. And good old Brewer putting boot into Gers actions all over place. Great!
  20. This is stunning. So they haven't really changed their name at all? Can't be allowed. It stinks
  21. Rangers have to change those gates and the front of Ibrox tiles to 'The Rangers' now. That would make me so happy, for starters
  22. Agreed, Arab. Too many on here who don't realise these are revolutionary times, the like of which we may never see again. It's that sort of thinking which preserves the establishment. Vive la revolution!
