What is it? Honest question, I assume he is financially sorted but I honestly don’t know.

Tell me why? At 5 ft 7 he made a very good career (547 appearances with 192 goals) out of good movement as a striker without pace or physique. I get Dundee fans don’t like him but as a strikers coach, who else could St Mirren get who has a background in coaching with a successful playing career at a level higher than ours and is available? He might be a fud but I’m not going for a pint with him, I just want him to teach some very average strikers how to put the ball in the net occasionally.

I would bring in Billy Dodds, he might be a wee fud but he made a massive difference to McIntyre at County.

My frustration is that we are set up to sit in and absorb pressure. To frustrate the opposition and then hope to snatch a goal. Like a part time side in a full time league..........like Alloa. The real worry is that Jim doesn’t know any other way to set up a team and in the top league sides are simply too strong to make that an option.

I don’t know who Jim has to give him advice but he is struggling right now and unless something really changes for him, the writing is on the wall. I feel sorry for him but having a young manager with a young assistant sometimes goes this way.

Looks like Danny is getting a clean sheet.........just let that sink in. Danny fucking Rodgers, a horrific goal keeper and we haven’t troubled him all day. I can’t even get annoyed at this, we are just brutal.

Absolutely, the expectations being placed on these guys is insane. Neither of them will fix the lack of goals, lack of defensive cover or some of the tombola tactics Jim is using. They should improve ball retention in midfield but that is just one of the things needing attention right now.
