  1. If we get McNulty and Docherty in return for Kamberi, it has got to be considered good business by us. Kamberi is dynamite on his day. Just a shame that day comes about 4 matches a season. 5 goals in 23 league matches from your striker and one of your highest earners is not something we will lose sleep over if he does go.
  2. I'd argue that if our product was available to a considerably wider audience with particular emphasis on showing the games in Scotland, every club would get a boost in support. In the USA, TV watchers get the NFL/NBA/MLB teams rammed down their throat at every opportunity. When you go into any bar or public space, the teams are everywhere 24/7. I'd be amazed if that doesn't draw considerably higher crowds (as well as all of the merchandise sales), as you simply can't avoid it. In Scotland, it is almost a hidden shame at times as far as the TV goes.
  3. Our fans don't get nearly enough credit in the press for how much we back our clubs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51177558 Almost three times the European league average. Unfortunately it is the gross mismanagement of our game by Doncaster and co which has led to use slipping even further behind other European leagues on the competitiveness front. They have simply prioritised the Old Firm's dying grip on staying remotely relevant over progressing our overall game for everyone's benefit.
  4. I'm happy enough - always looked solid whenever I have seen him play!
  5. Ordering the paint to Gengenpress as well. A true visionary.
  6. Given how popular the Six Nations is, thought it deserved a thread of its own. Predictions, news and general chat on the Six Nations here! A tough opening game against Ireland in Dublin awaits Scotland on the 1st February 2020. How do you think Scotland will perform? Losing Finn Russell is a huge blow, probably our second best player behind Hogg but plays the most important position.
  7. Heart of Midlothian Football Club have achieved 4 wins in their last 36 Scottish Premiership games. 4 wins, in 36 league games. And some of those tubes on Jambos Kickback are convinced they will win 3 and draw 1 of their next 5 (which is probably required to avoid being stick ons for relegation). How utterly deluded can you be? Stendelbottom on a personal record of 17 league games in a row without a win. Ouch.
  8. We were absolutely honking first half. Much better second half (special shout out to Joe Newell and Omeonga - they completely shored the centre of the park up). Great to see Jack Ross was willing to shake things up substantially and make 3 substitutions to change the game before 60 minutes. 14 points clear of Hearts, who recorded a famous, famous draw against Ross County.
  9. 7 Hearts league games without a win for Stendelbottom. Next 5 games: Rangers (H) St Johnstone (A) Kilmarnock (H) Celtic (A) Hamilton (H) Absolute minimum 6 points from that or you are going down. Simple.
  10. Has pace to burn/deceptively quick! Good luck Oli. Best for all parties!
  11. All hearsay at the moment, but think he would be a good signing for you guys. Has pace and can finish. Needs to bulk up a bit but that can be done.
  12. Our defence was already our weakest point, losing Porto and Naismith for the rest of the season is a bit of a disaster. Stevenson, Hanlon, McGregor, Jackson, Whittaker, James and Gray will only be enough to keep us trundling along on a knife-edge between top and bottom 6. A shame for Jack Ross!
  13. A move to Ross County is the best for all parties here IMO. Six figure sum for us - really decent for very much a fringe player. There is a good striker in there for SPFL level for sure, he just really needs more senior experience to develop and we can't give him it just now. If County play it right, a good deal for them as well. Definitely potential there. All the best to Oli Shaw if he does move, hope he does well.
  14. Vela goes with no ill wishes from me, just didn't work out which happens sometimes. He didn't join us to be benched and pick up an easy wage (otherwise he would still be here). Good luck to the lad in his career and best for both parties. Now we move on and sign some CDM cover.
  15. The United States Space Force being roundly mocked for their unveiled uniform. They must be anticipating lots of space trees?
  16. The legend of SaulGoodman grows: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51162069 I remember pishing myself laughing on my lunch break at his theory and someone on the Hibs.net private message board saying we needed to sign someone ASAP to save Saulgoodman's sanity...only for Stephane Omeonga to be announced that night. Sensational. It really is.
  17. Avdijaj has been HATED by every set of fans of clubs he has played for previously. His contract at his most recent club has been torn up as they can't even be bothered getting a nominal fee for him. He might be talented, but he is the wrong man for a relegation fight.
  18. Delighted. Absolutely delighted. Ze Hibs. Welcome back Stephane Omeonga .
  19. How on earth Saints managed to hold their nerve and not rip Hearts' hand off for their broken 35-year old club captain who they publicly flogged and humiliated by sending to train with the reserves last week...I will never know.
  20. If (and it is an if at the moment as they have undoubtedly improved) Sevco 2012 fans are standing in two years time watching the 10-in-a-row celebrations with eye-watering and club-killing levels of debt to show for their attempt at stopping it, what then? Does this finish them as a club (again)?
  21. Boyle will stay at Hibs for the rest of his career IMO. He knows he is loved here and I suspect his next contract will be a further (deserved) pay bump. His wife is a Hibs player as well and think they are very settled here. He is a good match for us, as we are for him. Scott Allan is a great example of why he won't go to Celtic - he hardly got a sniff. Same would go for Boyle (as good as he is for us) so can't see them wanting him enough to stump up what would be required for us to move him on.
  22. McNulty would be a great signing with Scotty Allan and Boyler feeding him all day. Striker is not a priority position, but having Kamberi/McNulty/Doidge/Gullan is a very good situation.
