  1. Tippy tappy, defensive, park the bus!!! Are Hughes, McIntyre, Duffy etc still available?? That makes uncomfortable reading. We really need an in your face, get stuck in type manager. We might be facing the very guy next weekend!!
  2. Given some of the candidates quoted, Duffy, Hughes, McIntyre etc, be quite happy to see Caldwell get the job. As stated, he had a half decent record at Wigan and I would discount the Chesterfield record, given the state of that club.
  3. No I know, but he certainly has given me some hope for tomorrow with that interview.
  4. After seeing his interview on Jagzone, if we win tomorrow, I hope Scott Allison throws his hat into the ring. I know it won't happen but he has certainly lifted my spirits for tomorrow's game! Very impressed.
  5. Be very interesting to see who is in the stand or directors box tomorrow. Could give a big clue as to who is deffo in the running!

  7. Would agree, but if you don't ask, you don't get. What Kilmarnock supporter would ever have imagined Steve Clarke getting their job? Lambert needs to get his managerial career back on track (like Clarke did) If he did well and got us promoted his stock immediately rises and bigger teams are noticing him. For all that, I would like to see Corky back at Firhill. At least the football on display would be exciting!
  8. Billy Davies anyone?......thought not!!! Paul Lambert? https://www.thesackrace.com/teams/partick-thistle
  9. No they haven't. It's now fully confirmed! Time to move on! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45779762
  10. Looks like we made a right effort to secure Neilson https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/3320706/robbie-neilson-dundee-united-new-manager/
  11. The words fruit and cake spring to mind when mentioning Storer!
  12. Yes, it was ludicrous that he went to a club that had sacked players under contract and were all over the place financially but they more than doubled the wage he was getting at Firhill. Would you knock back a 60% wage increase for doing the exact same job??
  13. If he wanted the job, Craggs would be my shout. He would get that defence sorted, has done a great job with Motherwells reserve side, however whether he could be tempted from his BT pundit role is open to question
  14. Yip a lot of doubters from other clubs but not getting carried away. We desperately need him to do the business on the pitch and its a long time since he played competitive football
  15. He will get the next two home games. If...and it's a massive if, he gets us full points we are back in the mix. If we lose one, or both, I think the board have to act. He is hanging on by his fingernails due to the home form. If that goes, I think he will be out the door and being honest, he can have no complaints!
  16. Und fans saying he has been has been at their last few games. Can't see Laslo surviving much longer up there.
  17. To be fair I think there are more pressing things to be concerned with at the club at the moment. Kris will get his game and remember a testimonial usually has events throughout the 10th year of service
  18. Ross Co and Ayr Und showing how you should play away from home in this league. Archie needs to change his away tactics or ship out!
  19. Four rows of seats destroyed and toilets trashed in the JHS after recent cup game. Celtic mate said that Celtic have coughed up £10,000 to cover damage. By my reckoning that's around £50,000 worth of damage done to our stadium by these neanderthals in the last few years. Pictures clearly showed Celtic supporters faces hurling seats on to the pitch during that youth final with Sevco, but was there any action from Celtic, their stewards or the police against the offenders? The silence was deafening.
  20. Article in The National today regarding the Coulibaly situation Partick Th have been told by the Egyptian FA that their hopes of securing Coulibaly rests with FIFA, but they have been warned that the case is the same as the situation regarding Essam El Hadary when he moved to Switzerland 10 years ago which took 2 years to resolve Coulibaly (23) was sold by Kilmarnock to Al Ahly for £800,000 in January 17 but left them 4 months later claiming have had been extremely badly treated. Al Ahly complained to FIFA and he has been left in limbo despite Thistle signing him last month. Thistle enlisted the SFA's help in trying to get the Egyptian FA to hand over an international transfer certificate and the Africans had not responded, but now EFA director Magdy Abdel Ghani has said his body will not forward the documentation . He said "With regards to the Scottish FA's complaint, it has nothing to do with us, it is to do with Al Ahly as he is their player. We cannot send it without their approval. I expect the same thing to happen to Coulibaly as what happened with El Hadary. It will go to FIFA and I am sure Al Ahly's rights will be upheld" The 45 year old keeper walked out and joined Sion in a case that took more than two years to resolve. Sadly really can't see him ever playing a competitive game for us
  21. If what I read earlier is right, the dispute is solely money based between Coulibaly and his club. Not sure how keeping him from earning a wage is going to help solve the case! He plays well with us the likelyhood is that a far bigger club will pick him up and the money situation might be solved.
  22. Things dont get any easier. Stephen Dobbie against our defence next week could be embarrassing!!
