No mention of the style of play we are having to endure after the promise of going back to the Thistle way of playing , no mention of the fact that we have lost games to Livi (twice) Ayr (twice) and now East Fife in our last twelve or so competitive games, no mention of Archie or Scott being under any pressure and more importantly no mention of our hyped up marquee signing getting any closer to pulling on his shirt and boots. Ludicrous!

Not sure what is going on at the club just now. Everything appears to be a total shambles. One goalie as a sub!! Thats embarrassing. Surely an opportunity to give some players game time. Also surely time for the club to give some sort of update on our major signing and I am not talking about the on loan centre half from Dundee (the name escapes me!!)

Agreed. Would never judge a guy on one performance, but can only comment on what I saw in that one game and he was beyond poor!

I assume you mean the board. Cant think of many supporters that will be backing him after today. I dont see him getting sacked before Xmas unless we are well out the running , even for a play off place. Given the form of the last 18 months he is the luckiest manager in the country. Cant think of any other club that wouldnt have sacked him by now!

I don't mind admitting that I have backed Archie through thick and thin, but today is the final straw. I think a manager can stay at a club too long and that is the case with Archie. It has been stale for the last 18 months and he doesn't appear to have any idea on how to rectify the staleness. In reality he should have left the club after getting us into the top 6 as we were never going to better that. Any cup run/win is welcome at a club like ours where success is very rare. Today was calamitous. I dare say he had one objective set by the board for this season, but I think his time has finally run out, though I haven't a scooby who we could get to replace him. If Dools was 4 years older he would be a shoe in, with Erskine as his assistant. I would take Neilson in a heartbeat but can't see him joining us.

As copied from my post in the match thread Don't shoot the messenger if this doesn't happen, but got told after the match yesterday, from a good source, that the club are hopeful that the Coulibaly situation MIGHT be resolved next week and if so, he will be in the squad for the East Fife game. Time will tell, but if we get clearance what a gigantic boost that will be!

Any time I have seen Kiltie he has been very impressive, though like nearly everyone else we seem to be rumoured with, he has had major injury problems over the last few years. A fit Kiltie would be a great signing in the championship!

Yip, felt a bit sorry for him as well. The whole 10 minutes was just about taken up with injury updates. Pressure is building on him on a daily basis with the lack of signings and results. Looks like pressure is affecting his barnet as well, looks like its thinning rapidly at the front.

If we get beat on Saturday, 3 league defeats from 4 might tip the balance towards a mutually agreed decision. There can be no complaints as the board have shown more faith in the manager than any other club in the country would have. I really think Saturday is vital for the management team!

The O’Ware situation is a disaster. We now need two central defenders , probably one that can function as a right back as well. A central defensive partnership of McGinty and Keown scares the shit out of me!!

Fair point but no getting away from the fact that he has been poor for the last year. I think him moving on would be best for both parties,. Surely his old man knows a few lower league English managers that could take a punt on him, even on loan, though not sure if the windows are now firmly shut in the lower English leagues until January.

Though I can't see it happening, we need to get definite yes or no on the Coulibaly situation by Friday. Doolan has looked a shadow of the player we know this season, can't see Storey or Mutombo being prolific if they are deployed up front. Troubling times!

Agreed. Archie said on JZ last night that even before Tams injury, he knew that he needed another central defender in. The big question is will the guy be ready to hit the ground running or will he have to do a full pre season by which time Tam might be back fit!!

The club is a bit of a shambles to be honest. We bring in two badly needed players in midweek, but one is unlikely to play for us any time soon and the other isn't fit. The season has started, we need players coming in that can hit the ground running.

Think there would be bigger clubs than us, offering far bigger wages, if he was free to sign for anyone. Could be that if Al Ahly didnt pay his wages and bonuses,as he seems to be implying, he might have a case in walking out, but who knows. Looks like this is going to get tied up in legal wrangles!

Would love to know whats written on that bit of paper!

Would think the million will comprise of the fee they paid to Killie and his wages!
