  1. Shocked to find out that “Tav” popping in penalties every week with fatty Lundstram pulling the strings works against Ross County etc but doesn’t get you closer to winning the title.
  2. Anyone taking a tally of Fabio Silva pretending to be injured whenever he loses the ball? Think I’m on 3 so far.
  3. Probably for the best tbh. We were 5th in League One when he said this btw
  4. I dislike Holt more than Hartley. There, I said it! Hartley was at least just a straight up arsehole (not excusing that btw) while Holt tried to cover his arrogance and incompetence with da patter, smirking and deflection. Also agree that he probably did more long-term damage than Hartley - I know it's a very small example, but Brad McKay still being a contracted Falkirk player is indicative of that. (Both are wanks)
  5. Dylan Tait was unbelievably sexy today. What a baller also for likely still being hungover on about Thursday that was some performance
  6. Done a full 180 on Michael Stewart, used to quite like him but f**k me he’s totally unlistenable. Truculent w**k.
  7. Between Donaldson and Morrison for me. Honourable mentions to Miller, McCann, Henderson, Spencer and Lang.
  8. The only negative of promotion is having to deal with fans of absolute non-entities like Morton and Airdrie.
  9. While I don’t generally disagree with the basis of the general points being made, I don’t really like the idea of players automatically “deserving” to have a go at a level above. These players have had a brilliant season and it’s a team that will live long in the memory for all the right reasons. But the idea of unconditional loyalty to start a season because of the previous ones work doesn’t track. I get it may sound harsh, and it probably is, but football is quite a unique industry in how cutthroat it is. If McGlynn identifies or gets offered someone who he feels is a stronger player and will adapt to the Championship better than anyone currently in the starting XI, whether that be in defence, midfield or upfront, he’s going to sign them. We are all on a high after Saturday and we’ve got 5 games to go to bask in it all, let’s do that. But it’s also only April. Look at it positively - there are whole new markets of players who will become available to us now. Players who previously might have fancied a move to Falkirk but didn’t want to drop down; teams who are looking to loan out players but didn’t want them to play in League One. Let’s see what the summer brings before claiming anyone has rite of passage into the starting XI.
  10. McGlynn himself said he recognised we’ll need two or three bits of real quality - the implication being first team starters - in order to make the real difference. This recognition, along with his record in recruitment, gives me a great deal of hope.
  11. In fairness, McCabe getting a club barely two decades old to mid table in the second tier is some achievement. Not MOTY stuff, though.
  12. Delighted to see some folk have made it into their third consecutive day of boozing
  13. There’s yer January signing laughing at your tinpot wee outfit. Stay doon
  14. Aye without meaning to get all rugby fans territory about it, but well wishes from other fans is appreciated. I would have been laughing and taking the piss out of someone else if they’d been in our shoes over the last five years, so no real grudge there. But we’re back and in some style. After years of shite, we look to finally be back on track. I love this club
  15. Dunno why they’ve no given us the full side of the pitch
  16. Michael Stewart reads a phrase and decides he’s going to use it constantly. “Reinventing the wheel” 7 times in the space of 5 minutes, all while getting inexplicably wound up by Aberdeen FC. MacIntyre hyperbolically crawing in the background deems it borderline unlistenable.
  17. I think this is really good news, with particular caveats. It's got to be remembered he's only 22, he's a big guy and I think there are the makings of a really good keeper there even if he's not the finished article, so to get him tied down on a two-year deal is good business. He wouldn't be my no.1 going into next season though; I'd like an experienced goalkeeper in who Nicky can learn from and perhaps even put pressure on if he's not performing.
  18. Booing a Tory for 90 minutes and potentially winning the league, hopefully a double win
  19. Obviously not seeking to distract too much from this weekend, but a wee reminder that if anyone wants to see the plucky Bairns take on the best side in the league at New Douglas Park on 13th April, you can get tickets here: https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Tickets/SelectType?fixtureId=5182
  20. Nothing grinds my gears more than labelling fans legitimately criticising a bogging performance as 'knicker-wetters' etc etc. A complete non-argument which doesn't engage in any meaningful discussion.
