It’s a good draw for all the reasons stated. My only note of caution would be that Celtic are on another level to the rest of the teams in the country and I’d hope we could avoid a tanking for the fear it could dent confidence and bleed in the the league campaign. Don’t think this bunch are like that though and I’m sure McGlynn would prevent that from happening.

Was thinking that. Who could honestly have envisioned a day like that, or a Falkirk team playing that like in Summer 2022? From hounding players out the door who looked like they didn’t want to be here, to deservedly beating the 3rd best team in the country with a side absolutely busting a gut for each other. Love them.

Count yourself ‘lucky’ you got to see him play at all. Will probably be on the treatment table for the next six weeks.

I wasn’t one of those who slagged him off before he’d kicked a ball (I don’t think there are many circumstances where I’d do that to a Falkirk player who hadn’t yet pulled on the jersey), but the record shows I was pretty underwhelmed when he signed. Think some can be slightly excused with a bit of post-Airdrie hangover/skepticism, but there were a number of people who were verging on hysterical when he signed. However, I’ve never been more happy for myself and others to be ‘proven wrong’ by a player. He’s a massive part of how we play. He’s not the finished article yet; he’s still got areas where he could improve,, but he’s still got a good amount of potential and time is on his side to realise it too. Great business.
