  1. We got out of League One faster than this pie queue is moving
  2. It was a perfect time to bin Clarke and have a fresh start after the Euros, but instead they hid for 3 months and pretended nothing has happened. His patter/lack of humility rubbed me up the wrong way too, you can get away with being a bit of a p***k when things are going well but he’s one to never admit that he’s wrong and in a football manager, that is a flaw. All very well playing some pretty triangles and doing all the work to get yourself back in the game, but 2 mistakes from 2 players who should be nowhere near the squad sums it up. Kenny McLean and Grant Hanley starting for Scotland in 2024 is worthy of arrest. It also really f**ks me off that they seemed more up for it tonight than in the summer. Football, like lots of things in life, is cyclical and it just feels like Clarke’s cycle is done.
  3. I know it’s quite costly and I know some might have objections to it on purity grounds, but given the efficiency of our commercial team, I’m a little bit surprised we haven’t done something like naming rights for the stadium (ala Livingston, and plenty of others). I don’t even know if this is something that has been floated, but just seems quite a straightforward way to bring in a chunk of money. edit to add: probably due to us not owning the stadium, but then I’m pretty sure Hamilton did naming rights when renting NDP? Unsure of the logistics.
  4. I think it’s clear what everyone is saying: bring back the gazebo
  5. Barrowman claiming he was their first choice from the outset is actually very funny, if nothing else. Great patter. No chance anyone is buying it, though.
  6. Edinburgh away he also changed shape completely and players spent the first half looking like they didn’t know where they were playing. Doubt McGlynn will make the same mistake again (although that being said, he does seem to have one game a season where he just decides to have a total brainfart - Kelty away, Edinburgh away - must admit I’m a little intrigued as to when it’ll happen this year!)
  7. Never have a club and a manager been so suited so each other. A total diddy.
  8. I’d put Yeats, McCann and Alfie in. I also wouldn’t necessarily be averse to giving Shanley a start, but unsure if McGlynn will do that. I’ve always liked the Challenge Cup and realistically, besides a lower league title, it’s the best chance we’ll ever get to win something. That, along with the increased prize money, we should definitely be giving it a good go.
  9. It was so great seeing us equalise before we.... equalised? Written by Chick Young, so no surprises here.
  10. Thought the fans were very good yesterday by and large and stuck with the team throughout. There were a few grumblings for the first half hour, but tbh, given the way we started the game, it was fair enough. Most of the discontent I heard came after the second goal when we hadn’t learnt our lesson from the first free-kick. McGlynn and Tait both said we started the game appallingly as well. But the ultras were still singing (albeit perhaps not as much) when we were 2-0 down and as soon as we got the goal back the fans got right behind the team for the rest of the game. Agree with the general point however that when defeat does inevitably come, there’s a big role for the fans to play in sticking by the players, keeping the good feeling up and not letting it throw us off.
  11. Dessers when he’s not playing against Ross County
  12. Swear Connor Barron is an absolute myth. Every single time I’ve watched him, he looks a decent-ish Premiership midfielder, but not someone you’d expect Sevco to hang their hat on as a sure-fire starter. Found talk of him getting a Scotland call up f**king mental.
  13. Aye I’ve watched it over a few times, Tait exaggerates his fall but it is still a foul.
  14. Tragic news. Had a very good career, but more importantly, seemed like a proper decent bloke. Very sad.
  15. Bit rich for Morton fans to be talking about “horrible patter” when you know they’d have been swarming this thread with much of the same schtick, if only their team of jobbers hadn’t bottled a two goal lead.
  16. Running out of words for this bunch tbf. Clear to see for everyone watching we started the game horrendously and were absolutely shite for about 30 minutes. The chips were down and we could have said written it off as not our day, but we didn’t. We kept plugging away and got our reward. Unreal character.
  17. In our beds till 15:30, a two goal headstart, and still a comfortable victory. Cheers for coming out lads! f**king adore this team.
