Thought last nights ME was pretty poor fair IMO. A close fight that was pretty much decided by amount of take downs. That Strickland was able to get out of them, on a regular basis. made it closer.

If anyone wants to talk about playing football on a complete pudding of a pitch. It can be done.

On viewing the highlights the keepers only fault was coming for the first & getting caught in no man’s land. If you come for it you have to be in there & make sure you get a connection on the ball, either holding/punching it. Smaller keepers tend to stay on the line & let their defenders defend & stick men on posts. The second I’d be more inclined to ask who was meant to be picking up the man on the edge of the box. A well worked free kick, the keeper was probably distracted by the Rose player directly in front of him, who may/not have glanced it & may/not have been offside.

I can mind Brockville being heavily sanded to get a game on, v Hibs, in the 80’s & it fcukd the park for years.

He’s fought twice in the last 3 years & 6 in the preceding 3. He achieved what he set out to, in replicating Buchanan, & has made a complete arse of it since, in similar fashion. That he’s failed to attract a following, or major sponsorship, tells you all about his persona. If he wants to resurrect his career, or cash out, then moving up & challenging Boots Ennis should be his only option; as opposed to a domestic rematch, at the same weight, where there’s zero at stake. Winning would add nothing to the view on the first fight & losing see him finished. Frittering his career away, in the process, just like his hero.
