  1. 1. Jimmy Bell, birth name James Bell 2. Shares his name with Jamie (James) Bell, who played the title chracter in Billy Elliot 3. Billy's father was played by Scots (Weegie) actor Gary Lewis 4. Gary Lewis was born in Easterhouse. I rest my case.
  2. Naw, dead easy : 1. transferred to RFC from Calais 2. Calais is in France 3. Charlemagne was French 4. Charlemagne was given the title of "Holy Roman Emperor" BY THE POPE!!!!! How much more tarrier do you want?
  3. All this faffin around reminds me of the last time I tried to make an omelette and dropped some eggshel into the bowl with the eggs. Sometimes it's just easier to throw the whloe pheckin lot oot and start again than try to pick oot hunners (pun) of wee bits of shell. SOMEBODY MAKE A DECISION.
  4. I've been reading on here, RTC etc today and at one point the penny seemed to drop, I had a wee surge of adrenalin (and nearly a semi) when I realised that the tipping point has been reached, the tide which was turning is now a tsunami and RFC are about to be swept away in the flow, they now have (apparently) a good proportion on the SPL chairs against them, and probably UEFA, and FIFA as well as a huge number of internet bampots ( that's you and me, pals) Naebody likes us (correct) We don't care (we care about the integrity of Scottish football) We arra peepul (sorry, that's "we werra peepul")
  5. More to the point, and as in your face as you'll get, hypocritical even, the money they're putting in is a loan, so how's thaht not more debt? Somebody should put that to him at a news conference.
  6. Precisley, that's why H&D have stated that "the announcement of the new proposals has caused "a delay in the sale process."" And.....that phecks up his planned "buy'em and sell'em" business plan, 'cos the quality of players he could tempt to join in the SPL is a whole different ballgame to those he could tempt to the SFL, in addition to the much reduced income, IF they were to get into the SFL, which is no "done deal" now.
  7. Can anyone put up a link to the "Nuclear" comments mentioned re. barcabhoy post on RTC, or copy and paste them here? I've wasted 30 minutes trying to find them.
  8. Of all the posts on here, there seems to be a common attempt to categorise the situation in terms of games, e.g. a gunfight each waiting to see who draws firs, or a game of starey oot to see who blinks first, or poker with the cairds covered. But...... I've got it sussed, it's a giant, very expensive game of Jenga. Everybody has their own hidden agenda for wanting the tower to fall, but they don't want to be the one that pulls out the very important last stick that causes the tumble, best to get the other guy to do it, then he gets the blame. SPL miss a turn. SFA apply transfer embargo D&P get Bill Miller to put a stick back in SPL miss a turn Bill Miller pulls a stick oot The Mysterons appear and put a stick back The Mysterons produce a "CVA" and put a stick back. The Mysterons challenge the embargo and put a stick back The SPL miss a turn The SFA reach gently for a stick, only to be shoved oot the road by UEFA, who get phecked off with the Mysterons cheating and kick the whole pheckin tower over, set fire to the sticks and cook sausages on the resulting BBQ
  9. I'm gettin pheckin fed up with this, ergo, The SFA should do this, the SPL should do that, if this happens, then that might happen, they'll no go for that, they want this to happen. An open letter to The SPL, SFA old uncle Tom Cobbly and all I'm free tomorrow afternoon. Tell me place and time, I'll come up with a couple of recruits from the Pie & Bovril Diddy Army. We'll tell the boys in blue where to get off and administer a kick in the 'nads so hard they'll think they've swallowed a pair of clackers. In the words of Yosser Hughes "Go on, gis a job" Please get in touch, I want to get this farce over and done with and get on with watching Euro 2012 without all the stress this is causing . yours in sport, yir wee Paisley Pal, Bud.
  10. I'm probably just repeating earlier points, but I think it's worth repeating now and again. If this had been a smaller club, and I think any smaller club, given what happened to Dundee, so I only exclude, just, Celtic, their feet wouldn't have touch the floor. There might have been a wee bit of arguing back and forth had it been, say Hearts compared to Brechin City, but I don't think it would have taken too long for a "connect 4" style rearrangement of the SPL and/or SFL to get the guilty party out and, say, Cove Rangers or Spartans in. It is only RFC's dominance of Scottish football which has maintained this dithering and argument for so long.
  11. If the CoS decides that the transfer embargo decision should be referred back to the SFA, and if the SFA want to be devious without obviously developing a pair of haw maws, they should state that in the interests of justice being seen to be done, and demonstrating a need for a lack of conflict of interest ( like that, eh?), they propose to give RFC the option to accept the original decision or to go The Court of Arbitration for Sport or to UEFA. The phrase "snaw affa dyke" comes to mind.
  12. Absolutely, this is about more than just the current situation, I think. It's trying to show the SFA that RFC are still the bosses and that, when , they are back in the SPL on an even keel, they will still dictate policy. If the SFA kick 'em oot, will the Cockwomble start a breakaway movement to move the SPL to another jurisdiction, the Scottish football will end up in a situation like boxing with hunners (no pun intended) o' ruling bodies? I'd pay to be in Doncaster's office when the call comes through that RFC have been expelled from SFA membership.
  13. Call me cynical, oh, go on, I won't mind, but is the latest "deadline delay" on the actuality of the CVA p/£ designed just to get past today's CoS case on the transfer embargo? Paul Clark stated earlier that"we WILL (hope to?) receive £8.5m from Mr Green's consortium". If you've seen the latest "plan" in today's Daily Ranger, Captain Green plans to do a share issue to "guarantee" investors a double-your-money offer. Several points on that 1. SDM tried it and it didnae work. 2. It means he still doesn't have full funding (if any). 3. He hopes to walk away with £4m. (nobody makes a fortune from football these days, excepting The Bunnet) 4. If the CoS decision goes against them, will he walk away , as one of his main plans for double your money, the buy 'em cheap, sell 'em dear plan for players, falls on its erchie. 5. if the CoS decision refers the matter back to the SFA, they'll surely be caught between a rock and a hard place, and have to grow a pair of 'nads and have to expel them. This might be him putting on his poker face hoping the SFA will back down, but if they don't, he can then claim that the SFA have forced his hand and a CVA is no longer an option. If they back down, he's won, RFC fans go ballistic and assail Post Offices across the land with their giros, to turn them into Greenback RFC Shares 2012. Thoughts, pals?
  14. http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/billy-dodds-witness-for-the-prosecution-and-a-smoking-gun/ Today's contribution from Paul McConville. A wee word to Billy : Son, when you're in a hole, stop digging. And if you have to keep digging, don't use two shovels.
  15. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2151242/Winners-lose-Court-victory-finish-fallen-Rangers.html Have a wee look at this. i said just this over the weekend. Nice to see I get things right now and again. I must tell the wife, but she'll still no believe me.
  16. Paul Clark from H&D on radio Scotland " The CVA is a difficult structure and we can't give a definitive p in the £ value". "We have received, or will receive, £8.5 m from Mr Green''s consortium." " Add to that the funds from the current ongoing litigation." . i.e no further forward (except more fees for H&D.
  17. I agree, they only seem to want to talk when it Is good news or when they can spin it to look like good news, so in this case it can't even be spun to resemble good news.
  18. One thing I keep hearing is that , on liquidation, IP would be up for grabs, but only as a football park since the demand for housing land in Govan is non-existent. What about housing land in the West End. I don't want to upset the Jags fans (ok, i don't give a sh1t, in fact I might enjoy winding them up), but would it not make sense for the Jags to sell Firhill and move to Ibrox? What's the land value of Firhill? It's no' B-listed or anything, is it? Nice, newish, shiny stadium for £2million? Or how about Clyde coming (nearly) home? When I was a (very wee) boy, Glasgow had 6 teams, now there are only 4, Third Lanark gone in 67 and Clyde moved out to Cumbernauld. They could groundshare at IP with the Jags.
  19. Rangers "Naw, we get the Sky money, we don't broadcast Sky matches from our grounds, so that the crowds are kept up, but we do do them from your grounds so you make even less money. We might fling ye a couple of crusts if ye dae as yer tellt" SPL "OK, we like crusts, and if yer shaggin' oor wives, dae ye fancy a threesome?"
  20. It has all gone quiet today. Today was deffo to be "CVA Day", and I think the reason it hasn't, and it has been mentioned before now, is that The Mysterons plan was to get a big team on the cheap, (pheck the debt, that doesn't matter in a newco) and use as a cash cow to sell on players and reap (anagram of rape, funny, that) the harvest, probably at the transfer window in Jan 2013. But if newco has to cope with a transfer embargo, that business model has a slight flaw, which would require a Baldrickian cunning plan to turn round. By taking it to the Court of Session, it looks like it's balls-out or burst for D&P, (succeed and TE is lifted, but get kicked in the 'nads by UEFA/FIFA, fail and The Mysterons do walking away) cos no-one else is going to come in as a saviour. From what I could see, the Blue Knights weren't even putting in enough to cover D&P's fees, which is why they kept giving TBKs the rubber ear. D&P seem very naive in all of this, and that scares me in a company handling the sums they do, if they get the transfer embargo lifted surely the only sanction left is expulsion (as this situation has been described as "one step down from match-fixing), that might just give the SFA the push they need to say "OK, pheck em, we've done our best, let's just bite the bullet, Scottish Football will go to hell in a handcart for 5 years, but we will emerge stronger". Wait, where have we heard something like that before?
  21. I seem to have lost myself in the Minoan labrynth that is the RFC Administration. Can someone give me simple answers to a few simple questions. 1. What are Captain Green and the Mysterons buying for £8.5m? 2. Does the above include Ibrox and Murray Park? 3. if not, and Craig Whytes owns them seperately, if when he sells them, does that money go towards paying any of the creditors?
  22. The best bit was the Pythonesque (what have the Romans ever done for us? ) exchange between Chico and Spencey when Chico described it as a particularly depressing season for Scottish football ( so bad for CFC cos they didnae win the treblel!!). As JS said, only if you're a Rangers supporter!! Yir wee blue neck is showing, Chic.
  23. See all this "two contracts" rubbish. Was that not originally the Andies Gorams' fault. Both of him wanted a contract each and the rest of RFC decided if it was good for the Andies, it was good for them too?
