  1. I replied to the goodwill plonker on twitter asking what goodwill he was referring and needless to say not a peep. Bitter and twisted individual who probably realises now that his interpretation of goodwill was nothing more than wanting to see dumbarton win. Which is of course as he came from the town.
  2. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/494797/rangers-legend-ian-durrant-set-to-be-appointed-dumbarton-assistant-manager/?CMP=spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-scotsunsport-_-20170126-_-789364853
  3. Ross McRory 18 year old defender on loan from Rangers until end of season.
  4. I would have expected whoever it was is to be announced by now. Maybe I had a bum steer.
  5. Also pitch is fine for tomorrow. Only a hard frost tonight could affect this. Don't expect much of a frost on the weather forecast.
  6. Not Walsh. In fact he's down as a striker or forward but Aitken had said last night he was hoping to confirm a winger today and I presumed this was the guy. Either way he's a quick young forward with championship experience after leaving a big Glasgow club.
  7. Look out lads for confirmation of a winger in the next wee while. Decent player who has played with a big Glasgow side.

  9. The reporter has confirmed that Todd is away to St. Mirren as thought. Aitken has also stated he is hoping to confirm the signing of another winger tomorrow.
  10. I presume with tight arms the top's as tight as the home one. In which case I'll be going nowhere near it. I previously commented on the home top being too tight for us larger blokes and won't be buying any more tops until we either go back to a baggy style or they consider making a bigger size fitted top for larger folk. I get it suits the young trendites amongst you. I'll now need to think about buying another teams top for 5 a-side as a my older sons tops are all getting a bit too old now. Shame!
  11. Whilst there are other areas we need improvement in. I actually think this is a very good signing. If ewings is injured for the foreseeable a keeper is probably a priority as going into a season with 1 fit keeper, who a few of you don't rate, isn't a very good position to be in. If anything it provides competition for the no.1 jersey. Regards the loan keeper that's due to end next week.
  12. I already have and i'm doing our 1st home game against Dundee utd. Is that me just gave away who I am? Come to think of it, as it is you plugging it can I expect to meet you around 2.30 on the 13th August.
  13. Aye, totally agree, but he said 4 maybe 5. Although there's been plenty stuff said the last couple of weeks none of which has came to fruition yet.
  14. If you read his post properly he actually said both teams were shite just that one was shittier than the other. He also went on to say all the dumbarton trialists were shite, etc. So I don't think he's trying to single out Clydebank as being shite in any way. He's just moaning about having a shite night. I'm sure 3rd Rock will have something to say to you also.
  15. The boy Hombleton is actually Cameron Hambleton who's been with our u17s since last October. He's only 16.
  16. My dad and I are going and we haven't seen us yet. Must admit though I've not went in to a season with so much pessimism for a long while. Hope I'm wrong and Ginge unearths a few loan gems.
  17. I would agree about this and when the shop was launched i was keen to make an order. As well as the home top I mentioned earlier I got a mug and grey polo shirt. Both very smart. Unfortunately they sent the wrong size of top which had to go back. That was a bit of a pain as I had pay for return signed for postage at £4.45 and the correct top couldn't be dispatched until they had received the wrong one back. In fairness I got my out of pocket postage expense refunded. I then went to get my 1st cuppa in the new mug. Brought in to work and all and found the mug to have a fault inside that it hadn't been properly glazed which meant drinking from it could by unhygienic. I am currently awaiting a replacement mug which was dispatched today. So all in not a great experience where 2 of the 3 items weren't right. I'll put this down to bad luck and at the end of the day all is resolved and no extra expense incurred.
  18. I've got the new home one. It's ok if extremely neat. I know these modern football tops are fitted now and not very generous for the larger bloke but the top is smaller than equivalent size of last Joma home top. It's also not quite the quality of the previous one. Regards away top it's only available for pre-order and not available until mid August at earliest.
  19. I would say it is related to the flitting in one way or another. I think the brabco investors are getting agitated about their money and are quite keen to see a return on their investment. I'm not too sure how Brabco team budgets have worked the last few years but clearly the success we have had something has worked. Some of it may have been down to luck but someone was putting money in somewhere. I think that our bubble must have burst now and perhaps Ginge is asking himself how he didn't stay at Stranraer as they appear to be spending more than us now. Could it be we swap places with them this year. Of course maybe I'm being a little bit pessimistic with those thoughts but I am very concerned. It was good while it lasted but was never going to last forever.
  20. Just done a wee check there and we did indeed get beaten 4-1 by Dunfermline in Oct 2nd 1993. I think this was the game I recall.
  21. I seem to remember a game at East end park when Murdo mcLeod was manager that we got beaten by a similar scoreline and if memory serves me right there may been a sending off or 2. What's sticks in my mind for that game circa 1994 was Calum Campbell became our record transfer for £65k a couple of weeks prior. It had previously been Charlie Gibson for £50k I think. Anyhow whereas Charlie was a legend Campbell hardly started. This game was one of his few starts. I think we may have went 1 up then imploded or equalised then imploded. Anyone remember this game?
  22. Aye. The all ticket games definitely OTT. Hibs at a push as they might sell out their end and that should be it. As was said earlier proposing some of the later ones so far in advance also not necessary. If the away team's aren't doing well when they come to the rock they'll bring less.
  23. The 1st game I remember was a 4-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox in the scottish cup. 1980/81 i think. I recall the wee blonde haired winger Rankine hitting the post for us. I think he was a winger anyway. I had been to games previously but can't remember. The 1st home game I can properly remember was a home game against Meadowbank thistle in 1983 which was a 0-0 draw. I recall Mr. Muir the stadium announcer stating 'a warm welcome to today's visitors Meadowbank Thistle in what is their 1st visit to the stadium.' This was followed by a few giggles due to the fact that he referred to Boghead as a stadium. That's all I remember about that game.
