  1. Is it correct that the trust are attempting to buy shares from individuals? I'm a relatively new member of the trust, I think they do a lot of good work. I'm also in favour of them buying any loose shares when available directly from the club. However I'm not keen on trust money going to private individuals rather than the club. Just wondering what other fans opinions on trust money being spent in this way are?
  2. I've always thought that we're making it hard for ourselves in terms of youth development. The youth leagues and teams in D&G are all pretty well run with plenty of participants, would it be a massive negative not to bother with any official QoS teams below under 15 level. Instead work with the existing local teams and build a mutually beneficial relationship with them and their coaches. Once a month the best 14 year olds could come to palmy for a training day with our under 17 team. We'd have a good idea about which ones to try and sign when they hit 15. Surely the important thing is to get the best prospects playing the most minutes, rather than sitting on a bench for QoS under 14's etc.
  3. ^ this for half a dozen players ^ & this & this For me we have an 11 who when fully fit are capable of challenging for the top four, as we were for the first quarter. Obviously though that's unsustainable over the longer term especially when a few of them are closer to the end of their careers than the start. Skelton shouldn't escape scot free for his part in our demise, there were opportunities to rest some of the key players as well as testing out some of the youngsters in a winning team, he chose not to. To be fair our pool is always going to be smaller and we were compensated for three of the best of that recent pool. I'm not clued up enough on St Mirren's business to know if they've sold on but it could be that the difference is they can afford to keep their's rather than our system being shit.
  4. If I've got a sky sports subscription what do I need to take to watch it at a mates house who just has a basic sky subscription? a) sky box & viewing card b) viewing card c) its not possible its a pit it I couldn't link my hudl with sky go to the TVs like I can with bt sport app.
  5. Do Stenhousemuir not run out to Stone Cold's entrance music?
  6. Quick question: How many appearances did Bill Sim make for Queens?
  7. Does anybody bother installing extra security on tablets? My dads recently got a Amazon Fire and I've got a hudl2 it's never entered my head that I should install any security like you would on a pc.
  8. http://qosfc.com/content-news.aspx?newsid=649 This interview has golfer Andrew Coltart and opera singer Nicky Spence as Queens fans. I'm sure a few years after this article I had heard that Coltart and his brother in law Lee Westwood had been to a midweek Queens game. That could of been nonsense though. Bill Drummond is also a Queens fan. Always handy when your celebrity fans would literally rather burn £1m than invest it in the club. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Drummond
  9. Used to collect it, in the process of selling most of it on eBay. Won't be making much money though unfortunately. This looks like being my biggest profit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/172070328144 The Very Best Of The Stone Roses (double lp)
  10. Anybody I've spoken to today (of a certain vintage) seemed keen on it. £45 for 5 plus bands and what 4 ish hours of entertainment doesn't sound too steep to me. It's not a terrible line up. I'm not surprised Vortex isn't keen.
  11. I suppose the amount of new signings in this window depends what the difference in cash is between finishing 4th & 6th and whether the chairman fancies a gamble or not. The squad we've got will finish 4/5/6th so I'd be tempted to save the money till the summer.
  12. My expectations for the season were fairly low. Around 6th, no danger of getting dragged into any relegation dogfight. While that still could be achieved my hope was that come the summer we'd have a clear out of the dead wood add a few players and have greater ambitions for the following season. I was expecting a turnaround or 5 or so, it's looking more likely 10 ish which could mean next seasons expectations have to be tempered again.
  13. Believe it or not, some Queens fans aren't members of the trust or the travel club. Did previous years include a three course meal and a drink? Maybe they did but that wasn't my thinking. Some fans who had attended previous years maybe didn't fancy the format/price this year fair do's. It was well attended though & those who went seem to have enjoyed it, success imo. Interesting that the people moaning on the message boards are the same people that moaned about the status quo gig. It's as if they've got a personal problem with someone that's organising certain events. ;-)
  14. £50 doesn't seem too bad considering what was included, my works xmas night out is £30 maybe even £35 for a meal and a disco at a golf club.
  15. Just set it up on my hudl2 following this video http://youtu.be/3sfdQlkjkDs seems excellent so far.
  16. Isn't watching tv/film/sport through Kodi etc illegal as well though. Akin to downloading music from piratebay?
  17. Extra time of twenty minutes, then if it's still level 10 minutes of 'golden point' not sure after that.
  18. Has Sky Go suddenly became incompatible with the hudl2? I get on to the app select a channel it buffers and then throws me back to the homepage. The only reason I can think of was a hudl update a few weeks ago.
