  1. Yes, heard it's career threatening, hopefully that's nonsense!
  2. Probably old news but no QoS league games affected by TV scheduling in September.
  3. It's probably a mixture between rough roads and weight then. I'm 14.7 stone and it's a Raleigh revenio 1. The first one where it got tangled in the derailleur i didn't here it pop, the second one yesterday though I heard it and unscrewed it. Ill cycle it to the repair shop this morning then. There is a bit of rubbing on the brake pads but not much when I'm on the bike.
  4. Got my first road bike in May and so far have had two broken spokes. (One tangling with the rear derailleur and twisting it up into the wheel. Thankfully the shop replaced the derailleur free) Is it a fairly normal occurrence with road bikes or have I just been unlucky? Is it safe enough to cycle home/to a shop for a repair or will it knacker the wheel?
  5. http://www.qosfc.com/new_newsview.aspx?newsid=2363 Good update on the official site.
  6. No I agree with all of that. Just checking you and Hawk weren't the same person. One final test, do you think Nicky Clark is capable of scoring 10 or more goals in the championship for either Rangers or us if given a decent amount of starts next season?
  7. What's your thoughts on our options at left back Cammy? :-)
  8. Sony TV (#157 on Sky) are showing Life on Mars starting Thursday night at 9pm.
  9. In my health board the policy is to not let unsuccessful candidates know, this is to save on postage. Pretty sure it's stated on the application form that if you haven't heard after 7 days of the closing date that its been unsuccessful. I've always thought if an email address is given it wouldn't take long to copy and paste a standard letter of rejection.
  10. Yeah I'd be quite optimistic with that squad although obviously the league's going to be a lot tougher than usual.
  11. If you want to judge him on the relegation season you can do but I think it's an unfair comparison given that when he played that season he played as a winger. I really can't remember him being given games as a striker that season. (?) Also we were a very poor team that year and if he had been up front he wouldn't have seen the ball anyway. When we kept him on for the 2nd division campaign and it was mentioned he was going to be the main striker I was very worried and mentioned to a few people that we'd struggle to score goals as our main striker was a winger. This has been pointed out to me several times since so I remember it well. :-( I had assumed you were only talking about strikers we could afford and could realistically sign.. Obviously not so you're right there will be a lot available..
  12. We can't point to his tally from the relegation season and say he couldn't do a job at this level, as Skyline pointed out Gus played him as a winger that season. I'm not trying to say he's Premiership class but there's no reason why he couldn't be a decent striker at championship level. if he were with us next season I would expect him to get somewhere between 12-18 goals which although wouldn't be golden shoe material it would be a welcome addition. Surely? You might be right there might be better players available, remember to point them out when you see them.
  13. Is he "not doing it for Sevco" though? From what I've seen of the situation it's been injury and a manager preferring a target man up top that has been hindering him not a lack of ability. In fact any Rangers fans I spoke to during the season wanted him given a run of games as they were quite impressed with him.
  14. 9 goals in 18 league appearances, hellish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicky_Clark
  15. Nice tops, Wrong shade of blue for me though. An updated version of this for me.
  16. Now that injuries/niggles aren't advertised on the official site I'm never too sure about slating the manager for 'dropping' players.Holt had a couple of slightly below par (compared to his usual standard) performances before he was 'dropped' perhaps McIntyre thought he was needing a rest to regain his usual form, or perhaps it was on advice from the medical side. I think it's clear that McIntyre see's Holt as his first choice left back and one of the best players at the club or else he wouldn't have signed him up for next season already.
  17. He definitely can't afford another gem like Antell! I think the team and McIntyre will benefit from getting a full pre season. Magic didn't do us any favours by dragging his heels about his move.
  18. I understand and agree with some of your points I suppose what it comes down to is what your pre season expectations were. You obviously saw us good enough to win or challenge for the league title where as I thought our squad was a bit weak for that. I thought we'd finish somewhere between 4th & 7th. So I'm always going to be more lenient in judging McIntyre I suppose.
