  1. A very generous voucher - so yes. Women colleagues tend to be much more generous than men.
  2. I struggle to shag my wife these days never mind find the energy or inclination to shag anyone else. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of wids in the corridor - but I'm way past the period in life where having a bit on the side is on the agenda.
  3. It was a leaving do for me, and i worked in a corridor full of women! I've never known a school to have as few men before.
  4. I'm posting this from the safety of the day after, having just broken the ice and made a joke about it with the missus... So I've survived and I'm in the clear. Yesterday i had a day out with work pals and my wife was coming along. Early on in the day I get home and notice that her hair is looking straight and nice and so I compliment her on it (note to anyone who doesn't do this already... always tell people when you notice something nice about them). Anyway, 10 mins before we leave she comes downstairs with frizzy hair which doesn't look anywhere near as good. She says that she's annoyed that she's bothered to do it as it was sitting nice but she bought this new curling toy thing and wanted to use it. Before I spoke she said 'it's like I'm doing an 80s throwback' - and then (inexplicably) I decide to throw my hot take into the mix. So I say 'honey your hair looked brilliant, and now it looks like fancy dress'. As soon as the words were out my mouth I regretted them. If i could've stopped time right there and then but alas it was too late. The damage was done. She stomped off in a rage, guilt tripping me as she went (ignoring my pleading apologies and lame excuses). But she's a trooper is my wife, and so she comes back down 20 minutes later and apologises for losing her temper. I grovel accordingly and the day is saved. But let this be a lesson... The line 'fancy dress' should never be used as a descriptive term for your wife when you're on the way out the door.
  5. When we were trying to have kids I bought this panda teddy for my wife from the Ayr shop. We quickly realised it was much more like a gorilla than a panda and so the name pandarilla was born. Now our kids play with him from time to time - but we've built this back-story that he's an alcoholic ayr fan who goes to all the games and gets really pissed off when they lose. They've completely bought it, even though my daughter is way too old to believe this nonsense. We've also got a small polar bear that doesn't like the new toys and so he bites children when he's grumpy. They're fucking terrified of him. Kids are gullible as f**k.
  6. Aye I've found this. We go to aldi for a main shop, and tesco for the things that we don't like from aldi (fruit, butter). This is probably true, but using it up quicker is easier said than done, especially when you're planning family meals. I've found that with lidl but not with aldi. Infact, aldi staff are very quick at getting folk through (no messing at all). None of this 'let's have a wee chat' pish. (actually i like that some places want staff to talk to their customers but for selfish reasons i don't want it holding me up) I've got no issue with folk who don't like these places. Swings and roundabouts. It's the snobbish 'oh we don't shop there' attitude i find ridiculous.
  7. He didn't hold it up at all well, and it certainly didn't take 4 defenders to cover him. The offsides really infuriated me as it wasn't as if he was running in behind, which would be understandable. He was late in wandering back - and that's just laziness / poor concentration. I agree he looked like he had something technically, but for me he was useless in that role. I also thought mackenzie and hewitt were very poor. At least salkeld puts himself about and ruffles feathers. You can see why hopkin likes him. But we had too many passengers on Monday. That's on the gaffer as far as I'm concerned.
  8. No way is it worse. We got players forward last night on a few occasions, even in the first half. One we went behind we actually started to get some control and looked quite dangerous. The second goal was a killer - but we were certainly playing a bit better when it came. That semi final is one of the most negative set-ups I've ever seen. Yes it was relatively successful but f**k me it was depressing. Last night we showed killie far too much respect - but we also played really poorly.
  9. Aye he was clearly passionate - but the stupid offsides need to be dealt with. Hopefully we can get him some better service as he's not a striker that'll work with our long ball set-up.
  10. Surely there's no-one that looks down on aldi and lidl anymore? That was a thing for a while but it's been quite clear for years that their stuff stands up well in comparison - and you can generally save a fortune. Anyone who thinks they're above these places is a fucking clown.
  11. As has been mentioned, folk see the game differently, but f**k me i completely disagree. (see below) It was nowhere near as bad as that semi final, calm down. That was a horrendous display with zero attacking intent. Last night we did attempt to attack but we were just useless. I'm stunned by folk defending adeloye for last night's performance. I thought he was so often completely anonymous, got caught offside in some ridiculous situations (usually because he was late in wandering back), and threw himself to the ground far too easily. I hate players diving against us so I'm going to call it out when our players do it (as i did oaten enough with forrest). I still hope he'll be a great striker but last night has me worried.
  12. Aye, pretty much this for me. That first half was painful, and we needed to get to grips with Burke much sooner. But most worrying is that no-one was willing to put their foot on the ball. When we inevitability went behind, we started to actually play. O'connor looked very good but we need a much better set-up.
  13. Pretty much this. We paid them way too much respect, but that's the way hopkin plays. I thought the long ball stuff was turgid and it was only a matter of time before they scored. Burke was a class apart and Cameron looks a completely different species to the one we saw last season. At least the boy O'connor looks like he's got something, and I thought salkeld and murdoch played pretty well. We'll hopefully put in a better performance at Somerset.
  14. My wife and I have just started watching wandavision and have no fucking idea what it is. Neither of us are in any way marvel fans but for some reason I thought this looked quite interesting. But what the f**k is it meant to be? We've watched 2 episodes and we're none the wiser - but on your recommendation we'll give it to episode 4. Are there jokes or story-lines that we're not getting?
  15. Yeah but my milk is always in the fridge, and as much as i like to support local businesses, I didn't enjoy paying more for exactly the same product. To be fair, I probably had unrealistic expectations. Dairy products are fairly standard (unlike a bakery or a butchers) - but it just didn't do it for us.
  16. I tried it a few months ago but there was literally nothing that they delivered that was in any way better than what we get at the shops. It just costs more. Got rid after a few weeks.
  17. The line-up is fucking atrocious, and has been for a long time. So many bloated players on bloated wages. I'd love them to find a way to get Stanton and sanchez punted but it's never going to happen. This covid outbreak forced them to bring in youth, and the team played with so much more intensity and speed.
  18. The condescension is strong with this one. You're taking your relegation well, I see. Very true. There are some fannies in every team's support but that doesn't mean it's an even distribution on here. All good fun though (mostly).
  19. Slowly but surely starting to shite myself for this match.
  20. From what has been said on here hewitt has impressed in the league cup so far, so I think it would be foolish to send him out on loan. I'd much prefer to give the lad a chance to see what he can do. We're limited with options as it is.
  21. [emoji23] That was a typo you fanny. Bloody predictive text.
