  1. Off the back of beating Israel 4-0 a few days earlier. I watched the Israel game but was out for the Georgia game though watched the goals on Twitter/scrolled through the rerun. Good for Scotland. There are some talented lassies there. Good, too,, for Rangers - who provided 8 of the squad. Laura 'ma baw' Berry loves a goal and Becca Taylor is fast and talented. Mason (I wonder who her da supports) Clark is a cracking midfielder at this level. Maybe the most talented of the bunch?
  2. Just keeked at wiki - and Edzell got its name in the 19th C - after a nearby hamlet. Could well have been 'Edyill' or suchlike previously. Anyway, I was in Southwark and Marylebone today. Placename orthography is seldom consistent.
  3. I see the recently banned, empty-headed Dundonian is editing a post to make it into something it's not. That's his level.
  4. Place names are impossible to work out. I'm heading to Southwark tomorrow and my train will get into Marylebone...
  5. Britain IS self-governing. The spat is about it being partitioned.
  6. Gutted to read this. I'm guessing the promised IR2 in October is looking unlikely, too?
  7. There is not a jot of difference between the boat-botherers of England and the border-builders of Scotland. You are both selling the vile snake oil of identity and division and use the same rhetoric. And don't use the 'sorry to correct' tripe. You're not at all.
  8. "With my left foot in" about covers it. We who eschew the daft notion of partitioning Britain are just wondering where our next popcorn fix will come from...
  9. Eh? The entire shtick of IndyJock in EuroLand is to ensure that, "we cant control our policies as an independent country incase our neighbour does something different"
  10. 1. The withdrawal of the £20-odd billion Barnett bonus. 2. The multi-billion cost of setting up a new state. Those are just the immediate and tangible losses. There's a reason why - for over 20 years - the Nats have failed to provide an economic case for iJock. This is because it looks like shite and they prefer to kid you on.
  11. Mags has been described as many things over his many iterations on P&B. 'Young Pretender' trumps all of them, though.
  12. Finzean does fit with the false 'z' or 'yogh' model. Just down the south Deeside road from Strawn Strachan which is just fucking weird.
  13. Have to be smarter than to give Magee an open goal like that, M1690. He's that Irish that he still invoices his clients in Punts.
  14. @kingjoey: Games are postponed @Flybhoy: Ranjurs. Strips. Tifo The big man likes a vent - based on facts or not.
  15. "Rorke's Drift owed its name to Jim Rorke, an Irish farmer and trader who had acquired the land in 1849, on which he had built his home and accompanying storehouse." OK so not on the scale of we Scots but the Irish loved a bit of Empire...
  16. Never seen Duddingston Loch look so braw...
  17. Your posting has been a disappointment to us all this past month. A sort of 'finger in the dyke' ( @Jacksgranda) in reverse. You're not keeping the water out but denying that it's washing over the whole of iJockland.
  18. If it riles you then I'd be happy to say that. But no. It's just one of these vids that Youtube excels at.
  19. Ming-is. The 'z' is a lost letter - the yogh. See 'Finzean' as an example @kingjoey It rhymes with 'onion'.
  20. Great vid on how Rwanda is using drone technology to deliver medical supplies to remote parts of the country. Truly inspirational.
  21. When I joined Oracle in nineteencanteen I was account director for North West Water so spent WAY too much time in Warrington. Nice people and populated by folk from all airts and parts - inc, of course, Scotland. Flynn's problem is that he's a one-trick pony.
