  1. No list is complete without The Housewives Favourite!
  2. Depending on how he has been doing down south, I dont think that would be the worst option. If we cant get a replacement for Biereth then we are basically going to have Bair or Obika up front on their own. We would surely need to change the system to get support to them. Spittal and Tierney either side or with Paton in a 3 just in behind. Desperate times and all that.
  3. Probably wouldnt have been shaking in our boots a few weeks ago. However, the way this transfer window is going for us, there is now a fair chance of an upset. We have been running a fairly slim squad all season, but we have lost Souare, Wilkinson, Spencer and now Biereth. Casey, Blaney, Slattery and Miller all still injured. The only player we have brought in is a loanee from Celtic whose position we already have covered! You will never have a better chance of beating us!
  4. Not going to lose my shit at this stage. Still plenty time to get more bodies in. Saturdays lineup does look problematic though. SK hasnt caught a break all season.
  5. I think we should send "The Video" to the Dalai Lama and see if he would be interested in pushing Bhuddism thru our Community Links. I mean, we already play in the correct colours, right?
  6. Get the ad sent to Will Smith. Tell him Ryan Reynolds says he is a dick and is gonna win the Champions League before him!
  7. Spencer being recalled is a blow for sure. McGinn could play there of course, but wouldnt be as dynamic going forward. SOD is certainly better at RCB than out wide and could be serviceable there. Whether we need to get a replacement RWB or another CB will be a big decision and might depend on how far along Butcher and Casey are. Given how bare the squad is, its a problem we coulda done without.
  8. We started the game with a back 3 and Spittal at RWB. He was the one being roasted in the first 10 minutes!
  9. I wasnt surprised the game went the way it did. I was just surprised that we didnt do anything to change it. If we wanted to just close the game out and secure the win I dont understand why we didnt bolster the midfield. Putting Slattery up top wide right seemed a bit wild. As it was Livvy were getting chances as the defence had no protection. Extra bodies in there might have helped fill the space.
  10. If Zidane had scored a goal like that in a European final at Hampden, folk would remember it more!
  11. A big part of the problem with our form is that we have had a string of injuries and suspensions during the course of the season which have stopped us fielding a settled side. SK might get cut more slack for that if some if his decisions on how to deal with that hadnt been so mental (Wilko in midfield) and he hadnt ignored such obvious facts (we would be better with Spencer & Gent in their natural positions). Too often he has tried to be too clever about it instead of just doing the safe/simple thing. Which ironically, was what got him so much success last season. Re KVV, you can never have too many good players in the building and SK seems to be one of the few managers who could get him playing at his best consistently. I dont see the finances working in our favour and Im not sure he and Mika would compliment each other, but if it can be made to work and it doesnt stop us addressing midfield and defence then we would be mad not to look at it. Especially if we could offload Shaw and/or Wilkinson. I dont see anyone coming in for Obika or Bair.
  12. Ropy speculated that we were gonna sign an U23 from Spurs on loan. This is the story the Record will be running with tomorrow after reading it on here. No basis whatsoever. Allegedly......
  13. Shame. Ive already got it down to Jamie Donnelly as he is from N.Ireland and has clearly been tapped up by Brodie Spencer!
  14. Probably pie in the sky! But if North Lanarkshire Council wanted to come on board with something like this at Ravenscraig, I dont think there would be too much opposition to leaving Fir Park! Nice wee shopping centre, cinema complex and bowling alley with restaurants and bars! Extra footfall boosts sales for local businesses and increases attendances at Fir Park. Get a rail line and bus terminus in there and we are on a winner. Level Brandon Parade and use the space to build affordable homes! Obviously never gonna happen, but nice to dream.....
  15. I think if Harry Kane had moved to Man City he may well have matched those figures. Just look at Haalands numbers. The goals he has scored this season is probably a bigger reflection on the difference between Bayern and Spurs than the 2 leagues. Adams is still wrong though.
  16. Like others, I have mixed feelings over this news. Change was definitely needed but it remains to be seen if that is going to be for the better or otherwise. I used to cringe when the current incumbents were described as amateurs, and whilst technically speaking they may have been carrying out their duties for no remuneration, I always felt that it was a bit disrespectful, as without them we would have no one with any business acumen whatsover running the club. I think both Jim and Derek should be commended for the service they have given the club over the years with little thanks, and we need to hope that the plan they leave in place will stand us in good sted going forward. We need to scrutinise what comes next and make sure it is the right thing for the club, and the Well Society need to be seen to be front and centre of it.
  17. FWIW, I dont think you should be able to sit on the Well Society board if you are already a board member. Its not quite a conflict of interests but the WS Board and representatives should be there to answer to and represent the interestsof Well Society members. You cant do that impartially if you are already a decision maker on the board proper. Albeit I do accept that our representatives from the Well Society do go on to be members of the board proper. We need to make sure the horse comes before the cart.
  18. I dont think anyone expects us to beat St Mirren, Rangers or Aberdeen on current form so having given him a stay of execution so far, I dont expect SK to he emptied before Livvy. However, if we dont win any of those games he goes into that one with no win in 15. Lose to Livvy, a direct rival, then we are likely bottom of the league with no wins in 16. No one survives that.
  19. Maybe we are now seeing why Burrows decided to move on? Maybe he saw the change of direction and didnt agree, or just couldnt stomach it?
  20. The guy is 42. Pretty sure his best days are behind him. Even at CB!
  21. Feels very much like an impact sub. Doesnt work hard enough to merit a start imho. If he keeps scoring off the bench, I think we can live with that.
