Was there ever an actual statement from anyone at QP about it? Just seemed strange that initial claim came out of the SFA's favourite mouthpiece, McGowan of the Mail, minutes after Aberdeen said they didn't want anything to do with the Conference, just like this supposed U-turn.

Didn't hear a thing from the club but that's not unusual. I find out more about the club on here than I do from them.

I really don't see what is so controversial here.  As one advantage, teams have an advantage playing at their home ground. Studies show that teams tend to get more referee decisions in their favour at home, and home advantage is a thing.

And yet, despite that, some teams still perform better away than at home.  That doesn't mean that there isn't a theoretical sporting advantage to being the home team.

I just can't believe that people find this to be a controversial point.  In the last couple of pages, people have denied that preparation matters, dismissed the difference between full time and part time players, and denied that a familiar playing surface helps.  All to deny a very uncontroversial point that regularly playing home games on a Friday presents a theoretical sporting advantage.

    Stop digging, mate.

Trains booked for what stands to be a nerve shredding afternoon. Where are Dees going pre game up there?

Loads of good pubs in Inverness but, sadly, none near the stadium. There is a bar under the main stand but it's pretty poor although offers a beer before the game. Better to stay in the town - the Imperial opposite the station is a good start point and has loads of TVs for any early game. Thirty minute walk to the ground though. The Innes is probably the closest to the ground (20 min walk).

Have fun, but let Highland Thistle win. Please.

When it comes to Dundee I’m sue I speak for everyone when I say I hope they get administration and that third time’s the charm on the road to liquidation.

Much as I dislike some of the Dundee fans on here, I would not wish administration on any club in Scotland - ugly sisters excepted, of course.

They had an information night showing  and explaining it to the fans , great thing is the cost is being absorbed by the chairman and will not be effecting any club budgets , think you will see lots of information coming out in press etc when the bulldozers move in early May ,

Club giving information nights and lots more info coming?  Who’d have thunk?

As for the chairman absorbing the costs - are you trying to steal our mantle as the ‘New Gretna’?

Sounds a great development. Well done.

  6. Although a disappointing result, I think it was coming. We’ve not been at our best recently but managed to grind out results when necessary. We’re still in it and let’s hope this is a wake up call and we can get our act together. This has been a bonkers league this year with a great number of unexpected results. I would have bitten your arm off at the start of the season to be in this position.

As they say, onwards and upwards.

How has Oakley been doing for QP? He was performing really well for us once he'd settled. Would much rather have him playing for us than against us.

Settled in well, fits in with the football the team plays. He's been an asset for us. Great player.
