I think we just need to get more games televised to get more money in. No confidence in the SPFL managing to "sell" a game like St Johnstone v Hamilton to Sky though, while the EFL can "sell" Brentford v Millwall, and so while we maybe get decent "money per match" we aren't selling nearly enough matches to get near them in terms of total money. Sky have lost the Champions League and Spanish football lately, there's an opening we could've exploited, but with BT struggling, and Eleven not getting the figures they need, these gaps will likely be plugged again. Missed opportunity.

That was to point out that St Johnstone players in form aren't doing it at a lower level or anything than an Aberdeen player. To combat the "aye but saints are bottom half dross" type comments.

I'm not claiming Mackay/Foster would be a better option than Hutton. I'm saying that players in form at St Johnstone won't be called up, but players in form at "bigger clubs", at the same level, will be.

Just checked and it's 4-4-2 in all my saves too. Pretty much identical roles to those posted above. Seem to vary on who they sign, but the loanees generally end up the best performer. Dobbie varies.
