  1. Its really not. Kamara and McGowan aside, there literally no balance at all to your side. Caulker and Meekings both seem utterly devoid of sense when it comes to defending and seem to regularly be caught out of position, all your full back options have severe weaknesses, your only winger, Deacon, is a player I've literally never seen contribute anything and your attacking options are absolutely laughable. McCann has you under performing, but theres a massive delusion amongst your support about a lot of your players.
  2. Can absolutely envisage him taking Meekings aside to show him a thirty minute video of John Stones. "This is what you'll be like if you listen to me"
  3. It's a strong rumour in twitter that generally means it's true. Basis of the rumour is he needs to free a wage so he can afford Kenny Miller and he's deemed Smith as surplus.
  4. Fair play, I only ever remember him as a striker who could play deeper, but I've not seen him play for a long time now. Would be perfect timing if he could play in the centre of the park
  5. Their right back cut into the middle of the park, and there was a collision of sorts between him and Kennedy who were both facing Muzz. He couldn't put weight on his right leg as he went off. Would be a big blow but I'd hope we don't now forget the main transfer target. I'd still rather one quality ball playing CM than go for two lesser players.
  6. No Project Brave = No funding from the SFA and less money to get coaches. Project Brave = spending excessive amount of number of coaches instead of quality of coaches. Theres an issue either way that restricts a clubs ability to have specialised youth coaches in the payroll. Generally clubs, like Saints, have a Gk coach full time who works with senior and youth teams, and a volunteer is brought in as a sort of apprentice who'll coach alongside/coach youths when the senior coach isn't available. I highly doubt you're hiring some fat balding fan who plays Sunday League to be the only person to coach your youths.
  7. My memories were him sitting deep at their stadium dictating the game while we completely sat off him. In saying that, Abdul Osman/Adam Barton also looked like Beckenbauer against us.
  8. I'd be happy with a loan tbh, it's possible there's nobody good enough that we can afford outright, so a loan gives another six months to identify someone. If it was a loan for someone like Tansey, it maybe opens up the option to sign them later down the line aswell.
  9. You cant be serious surely? Teams at our level struggle to afford coaching staffs as it is, and Project Brave utterly ridiculous requirements severely hinder how many professional coaches you can hire.
  10. Positive quotes from TW on the unofficial twitter this morning. He's held talks with Brown about extending his contract, and "doesn't see any issues at either side". He's also positive about getting a signing in within the next week and "has options" but still suggests he needs to let young players go on loan before it happens.
  11. My issue is I signed the fucker on FM17 and he was immense, yet this year he's not even in the fucking game due to Al Ahly and this fucking about.
  12. Probably shouldn't have advertised his strip for sponsorship either..
  13. We've been linked with him for a while. Left winger who Rodgers converted to a LWB, Celtic fans reckon he's miles from being good enough but that's not really proof of anything. We had Darnell Fisher come with similar reviews and after a rough first few months (genuinely some of the worst performances I've ever seen) he settled in and won a move to Preston. Be prepared for him to be caught out position a lot.
  14. He scored ten goals that season, and only two were off the bench. He had a run of twelve starts for us that season, and got five goals during it. It only ended when he was banned retrospectively for diving against ICT.
  15. He got 3 in 18 last season. Probably a worse GPG than Haber, Leith-Smith and Murray, while playing at a bigger club.
  16. We lost our first six games under Lomas yet finished the season in third.
  17. We've only had three managers since promotion ten years ago.
  18. He was asked about him on the radio after the shite on twitter and said it wasn't possible. Was mentioned in one those "rumour" bullet point articles but fucked if I can find it again.
  19. You're not going to get the actual CAS report as it isn't public. Coulibaly has been out the game for over a year for a reason.
  20. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.kingfut.com/2018/04/26/coulibaly-fined-alahly-dispute/amp/ He seems to constantly change his reasons for leaving.
  21. It's true. It'll only be if FIFA decide he's allowed to play but a percentage of his wage goes towards Al Ahly.
  22. The fine is only payable if he's registered as a player, he can train with anyone. Even if you sign him as an amateur he'll need to be registered to play, so the fine will need paid, there is no workaround. Fwiw a Saints fan on our forum went through this exact thought process for about a month despite being told he simply can't sign anywhere without the £1m being paid. I'm fairly sure Derek McInnes was in the news a few days before he joined you lot saying he wasn't willing to sign him due to fifa sanctions. You'll end up having him contracted for a year, he won't get registered so will never play, and he'll refuse to terminate his deal because its literally his only income.
