  1. Then you're a bit odd. Swanson scored almost twenty goals over two half seasons and a full season. He was a massive player as we consistently finished top half and helped us survive after the loss of O'Halloran. Are you saying that doesn't make him a success because he decided, as an injury prone player approaching the end of his career, that he'd move to make money/join his boyhood club? Wheres the Bain comparison btw? Worst Swanson done was punch Ricky Foster in the puss
  2. Are you suggesting Danny Swanson wasn't a successful signing for us?
  3. The last chubby winger we signed from League One done alright..
  4. Our away top gets revealed tomorrow, apparently maroon and gold
  5. Kyle talking to himself now, at least pre-seasons almost over
  6. Aye fanny was maybe harsh. Still think Sunderland have been hyped up to being beyond what they are, there's clubs just as big mulling about the division above bottom half. Feel like Ross could've done better, and that off field issues will severely hamper his time there.
  7. What makes you say that? He barely got five goals in a dominant Rangers side last season
  8. Tbf it was announced he was leaving two weeks ago
  9. Worst case scenario is he makes a fortune from the pay off but is constantly and forever associated with being the guy who couldn't get Sunderland out of League One and barely gets a chance of a job there again. I'm not convinced he'll be happy to muddle about up here for the next forty years because he made a lot of money early in his career. Sunderland aren't even close to being the type of team who can walk that league regardless of manager. Folk have been claiming disrespectful stuff like that numerous times with the likes of Coventry and Portsmouth over the years. The gap between League One and Championship is huge aswell, so even if he does get them promoted he'll struggle
  10. Sunderland desperate for an £8m loan from outside investors to help pay their bills over the next month, with a further £9m expected to have to be paid by the end of the transfer window after a botched transfer a few years ago has been ruled against them. Jack Ross was an absolute fanny for joining them.
  11. Yup. Ozturk the player he's decided to rescue his defence, madness. He'll be punted before the end of the season, seems daft to join him there.
  12. I've heard Richard Wright was one of the best English keepers of the past decade tbf..
  13. I'll offer you evens it's just someone who's seen a black guy in a tracksuit.
  14. Was that not over twenty years ago? I've been going to games regularly for over a decade now. Rip the pish out the folk in Perth who support everyone but Saints if you like though, I sure do.
  15. Keep signing folk like Paton and crowd wanking will continue to be all you've got to gloat about, m8.
  16. We needed someone off the books to sign Matthew Willock, and Paton was the weakest CM. He's a really poor footballer, can't pick a pass at all, yet constantly tries to dictate your tempo. Expect plenty of counter attacks to end because he spends three hours twisting his body to try and kick with his right foot. He regularly shits out 50/50s aswell, preferring to go in high against players when it's in his favour and then roaring towards the fans as if he's full of passion. Might be alright if the Championship is worse than I remember, Chris Millar was a better player even when he was hobbling about.
  17. That sounds tremendous. Any idea when the homes getting released?
  18. Comments on the tweet suggest both players are named wrong, and the entire incident was different to how its been reported
  19. £7m for Armstrong seems mental, but realistically it's probably about right in the English market, especially when you see James Maddison moving for £25m. Fair fucks btw. Signing McGinn for £3m would be stupid, he's nowhere close to the hype, and doesn't seem particularly strong at anything. Suppose that means he could be shaped however Celtic feel fit, though.
  20. Suppose, I still think a lot of players will be put off by that club though, and more and more English based players are viewing the Scottish leagues as a platform, whereas Sunderland give the impression of a skint clusterfuck. Long term joining Hibs and standing out seems like a better career move than joining Sunderland. I'm probably completely wrong though.
  21. Sunderland apparently desperate for loans to fund their business, and they just failed to tempt our goalkeeping coach away from us. I'm not convinced they'll be a huge threat unless they can persuade gullible fools that League One is some wonderland to the EPL. No idea why McGeough would throw away what he has at Hibs for Sunderland.
  22. Like who? Cochrane? Worth noting Hearts have signed about four players that play in his position this Summer. This "Hearts play yoof" shite is a complete myth
