The low of seeing Storey sign elsewhere, and thinking you're left with Sammon, followed by the highs of seeing Sammon also sign elsewhere. Absolutely delighted we've avoided signing him.

Bizarre the reaction of some Thistle fans, seem desperate to make it about us. Most are gutted about Storey as he seems a cracking signing. I'm absolutely delighted someone else signed Sammon though.

Then that's fine. I'll happily miss out on Storey, and end up with Macca and Cummins, if we're making a genuine attempt at getting someone better than all three.

I still think TW decided this week he wanted two. Still working on one, but decided loaning out Kane would also help us bring in Storey, only to be beaten to the punch as we've been focusing on someone else.

Pressley seems capable of selling himself well. Budge seems the type who'll fall for it, while also believing he'll be popular as he used to be captain. Levein will know he's not popular, but you're reliant on him speaking up about it, and not just letting them hire him out of spite since he's not being consulted this time.

Thankfully, that's not the question TW has to answer. I don't want either. Ciftcis the type of player who'll go in a huff for six months because he got hit pretty hard in training. I'd rather no rest our season on him. Sammons just a dull fucking signing who'd be taking us half a step back in terms of quality. Bit like Paton, he'd play well enough to avoid criticism, but too poor to be considered an improvement on what we've got. Would hardly be progressive.

Theres logic in it, for sure. Everything about the timing of the Kane announcement ties up with us signing someome today. Going by the quotes on the unofficial twitter, TW still doesn't even seem convinced we can get someone else.

I think I'm the only Saints fan that doesn't want him. Thankfully theres not a hope in hell we can even get close to affording him.
