  1. Depends who is after him. We've got a strong record for selling a player or 2 down south every season for mid-high 6 figure sums.
  2. If Falkirk and/or the players agent do their best he'll end up at a bigger club than St Johnstone and for a good weekly wage that neither of us can match. No disrespect to Saints who are currently in a much stronger position on the park than we are and would be a step up in that respect. But he will do much better than St Johnstone or Falkirk for that matter.
  3. Spot on. Although, I doubt he'll be our number 1 next season.
  4. Let's not forget it was Mehmet who asked to leave. FFC have just reacted by replacing him. I don't get the outrage on this one to be honest.
  5. Saw that too. I doubt it means anything though as he was in with Alston & McGeever too. I know he's best pals with Miller & that would help us get him but if there's no money to spend then it's not going to do us much good.
  6. If someone like Loy is indeed off to Morton, even on loan, that's a fairly embarrassing turn of events for a club of our stature to be honest. Especially when we are crying out for someone of his quality. I can't see how anyone can be confident of finishing 3rd on current form and if we are sticking with this squad & Morton/Raith strengthen then they will surely be favourites for 3rd & 4th spot.
  7. Unless our form improves we are going to slide down this league to be honest. 4th already and Raith are only just behind us with a game in hand.
  8. Great photo!! I'm in it too, up the back in an away top (As are another 300 obviously)
  9. Loved the place. What a noise & so close to the pitch. Don't get me wrong, it had its fair share of poor crowds & dead atmosphere games too but when it was good it was bloody good. Didn't always need a big crowd to have a good noise too. I get quite frustrated with the opinion that our new place is always poor for atmosphere but there's been some big games & crowds that have had the place going bonkers and it's been up their in terms of memories made.
  10. Brockville late 90s I think. I remember it getting a paint job when the ownership changed, that was 98 I think.
  11. Well that's true. It certainly is mind boggling that we don't start games well, especially at home. Although that said, we did against the Fifers at home in Oct. Maybe because they won the toss & made us shoot towards the South stand in the 2nd half.
  12. We are crying out for a settled team, as we had last season. I didn't disagree changes were needed for today but I'd much preferred he tinkered it at home as opposed to away. This league was there for the taking and feel this is an opportunity that's going to pass us by, similar to the year Dundee & Hamilton were fighting it out with us. The BOD need to back Houstie in January but it's maybe too late already. We certainly can't afford to lose many more games, especially when Hibs & Utd continue to drop points.
  13. 9pts needed from the next 3 games starting today. Even then we need United & Hibs to drop points too. Sounds like their will be changed today but can't see any more than 4 at a push which for Houstie is way off his usual tinkering. A win today sets us up nicely for Boxing Day against that lot.
  14. I've watched a few U20s games, I think Sheps does well at that level BUT he's more often than not up against young boys not much bigger than he is. As seen from his cameo appearances in the first team & when he's in/around the box he's more often than not eased off the ball or they simply go through him like he isn't there. I can understand why Houstie plays him on the wing as a sub but his impact is minimal. I can think of an assist last year at Raith but nothing from this year, although could be wrong.
  15. Let's face it, these news refs are trained by Willie Collum, of course they are going to be poor.
  16. Did Hibs win the Scottish cup this year? Someone should have mentioned it.
  17. Every free kick (Apart from the one we scored) was a Kerr floater/drive to the back post. We won very few of the first headers and therefore wasted the chance.
  18. Need a win today, which I'll think we'll get. Put your money on Hibs and United both dropping points today too.
  19. Apparently the Head Teacher of said school is a Hibs fan. Be interesting to know if this particular school has taken the free tickets on offer from FFC.
  20. Lauries Bar are running as many as they can fill according to their FB page, worth giving them a call
