  1. Agree with Gaz, what else are folk going to do on a Saturday?? I'd imagine the club would be delighted if 500 folk end up renewing after the EB finishes and give them another extra chunk of cash.
  2. I wasn't Leahys biggest fan as a LB but that's just crazy talk.
  3. Fyvie & Flood in the United midfield is a delight for every other team. Edited to add: Scobbie & Murdoch in defence too....
  4. The younger squad/Houstie story I was told post play off defeat came from a usually very good source & to be honest, surprised he was wrong. Thankfully wrong, in my own personally opinion. I'd love Houstie to be the guy that takes us up.
  5. I think Sibbs will be on the plane to Budapest but you never know, someone may cough up for him.
  6. I'd imagine the 2 or 3 signings this week will see the STs go through 2500 mark alongside those who'd renew anyway at this stage of the month/EB period.
  7. The saving is more than 1 game with a ST. ST for the south stand is £250 which over 18 games is £13.88. PATG for the SS is rumoured to be £20 this season so that'd be £360 if you PATG. You'd need to miss 5 games for it not to be cost effective. Edited to add that I believe we are charging the following for next season: (Adults) SS £20 WS £21 WS (Prime) £22
  8. I don't think there are hundreds waiting on signings either. The vast majority still to renew will & they are doing so when they would normally, i.e. Towards the end of the EB period. There will be the odd few who won't renew for the signings reasons but are they simply just going to stop going?? Shopping instead maybe? Doubt it. See you come August lads.
  9. Slow ST sales, during early bird has been common over the years. We tend to sell at least 1/3 of total sales in the last week historically, so by COB at the early bird we'll be at 2,500 in my opinion. We still sell a good few hundred post Early Bird too in July & August.
  10. I think Loy will be in navy blue this season, just hope its Falkirk & not Scumdee
  11. I'm actually very positive about the season ahead. With the strongly rumoured Rory Loy coming in & a decent RB, I think we are in a stronger position than last year. I can also see Sibbs wearing navy come pre season too. We've finished 2nd the last 2 years versus much bigger & ultimately better teams, now it's our turn. COYB etc etc.
  12. It's not a signing that will add 500 STs BUT it will make a difference on the pitch seeing as he's a natural wide player & we can move Craigen and Taiwo to an extent into their natural positions. I assume at this stage our midfield looks like: Harris Craigen McKee Hippolyte With Taiwo, Kerr, Blues & Henderson in reserve. All assuming Sibbald doesn't sign back on, which I think he will.
  13. Which would be ironic considering it's the best chance of winning the league since 2013/14 when Gary Holt cost us the chance of going up. I don't agree with the crowds prediction, especially if we get 3 or 4 strong signings in & start the campaign well.
  14. It is indeed the luck of the draw. Had we got say Hearts away, we'd be a bit more excited than ICT away, who we will play 4 times this season. Same issue with Brechin City. I actually don't mind Forfar as it's been a while but Stirling is just crap & they will treat the game as if it's their cup final whilst we barely give a toss.
  15. Serious question for those not renewing STs until X person/type of player has signed. Say we don't, are you just going to stop going? Or only go if we are winning? I want us to go up as badly as the next person but what's the alternative? Shopping with the mrs or soft play with the kids? Feck off.
  16. I thought I read that he had been released. Ah well, unless it's a loan then, Houstie/McDonagh will need to wait.
  17. I agree that we need a proper RWB/RB in, i'm just sceptical based on previous recruitment drives. I think it's more likely he'll invest in an experienced left back & another centre half to replace McCracken.
  18. Houstie & McDonagh (especially) have been a fan of Sam Stanton for about 2 years so I'd expect him to sign on now that he's free from Hibs finally.
  19. Don't disagree although I'm not sure we'll invest in a RB with Kidd & Muirhead on the books.
  20. So, we are currently sitting with? Robbie Thomson David Mitchell Lewis Kidd Aaron Muirhead Peter Grant Luca Gasparotto Tony Gallagher Paul Watson Tom Taiwo James Craigen Mark Kerr Joe McKee Myles Hippolyte Liam Henderson Cameron Blues Nathan Austin Kevin O'Hara Scott Shepherd
  21. I know Houstie was keen on Stanton last year, wouldn't be a bad signing at this level. A signing to win us the league? Probobly not. Goodwillie is a fanny but "if" he signs, I think he'd get goals in this league.
