  1. Foley was absolutely honking in that second half. Hoooof.
  2. Ethan Erhahon [emoji7] totally strolling it in midfield. Should be a few up here. Early days but this new formation suits us much better.
  3. I think McKenna and O'Donnell will both start. They wouldn't be my choices but it's what I see Clarke going with. Think he'll go with Christie supporting Dykes but I'd much rather have Armstrong in there.
  4. Doesn't fit the description given earlier - Conor is 24 but this boy is apparently 21?
  5. Edit: Same as above. Surely we haven’t signed a player that’s injured for 6 - 8 weeks
  6. Jim's messing about with the personnel and formation every game reminds me of the start of Danny's last season. Pretty sure in the first few games of the season, we were playing 3-5-2's, 4-3-3's, with Gary Harkins playing basically every position imaginable. We got a fair few gubbings until we started playing a solid and hard to beat 4-4-1-1. Pretty sure we won 2-0 at Tynie and we picked up after that. He just needs to pick a simple, solid formation, with players in the right positions, and keep it the same, week to week with as few changes as possible.
  7. To be fair, Goody has dropped both McAllister and Durmus already this season, so I don't think he's afraid to. Sheron has been poor and really needs a big performance tonight. I'm sure he'll play. Can't wait for Magennis and Flynn back!
  8. We could always go with a really tight midfield 5. Do the old Scotland style 4-5-1 where we had Scott Brown and Lee McCulloch wide! McGrath - MacPherson - Foley - Sheron - Erhahon
  9. Erhahon was one of our better players v Hibs, wouldn't drop him. Know it's not the same position, but I'd have him in place of Durmus - he's been so poor.
  10. Erhahon starting is a big surprise. Just pray he’s playing in his correct position. Hope he has a solid game.
  11. You’ll definitely get chances. All our games (bar Rangers) have been back and forth, end to end. We’re arguably only playing one centre mid as well.
  12. Assuming we’re playing a diamond in midfield. Sheron/Foley McAllister - Durmus McGrath
  13. Jim stressing that he has plenty of pace. No idea what he's like but there ya go! Certainly gives us more options. Once Magennis and Flynn are back we have some good depth midfield to front.
  14. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/jim-goodwin-reveals-st-mirrens-22558797.amp?__twitter_impression=true Jim looking to bring in “just one more”. Wants someone with pace.
  15. Totally agree. Need to give Junior the chance. He'll be out to prove himself after last week.
  16. Yeah, I think Sheron is a cert for games against the top 4 plus difficult away games. Actually thought he was pretty good on Sat. Didn't notice him but that's his job really. He said in his first interview that he's a guy that loves to defend and do the simple things.
  17. I quite liked our set up last weekend. It was kind of a 4-4-2, but at times it changed to a 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3. I think Jim will go with Junior and Obika up top, with Dennis on the bench. Need to give Morias the opportunity to put the ball in the back of the net, he was close against Hamilton so he'll want to prove himself this weekend. Have to play McGrath in my opinion. Really coming onto a game.
  18. Subbed at half-time in that game, must have caught wind that we were after him and started making his way to Paisley...
  19. Right, it's definitely this guy I think. Div saying the player was involved in a match only two weeks ago. Dennis played 45 minutes in the play-off final for Notts County.
  20. Looked him up, and this from a recent article...so doubt it unfortunately!
