  1. I don't think Edwards is garbage. Tad harsh considering his good season he just had. He had some great games last year, showed he has a very high fitness level, is very professional and can play the game well. It's preseason and he deserves to show us if he can do the same this coming season.
  2. I heard from a friend who knows him that not one club has offered Welsh a contract. He's made of glass, he wouldn't pass a medical and this last injury has shown that he is a baw hair from retirement. So he might as well retire or he could suffer lasting consequences. Could be bollocks but it's what I've heard this summer.
  3. I really got excited when wee cheater McDonald was leaving Motherwell to potentially go back down under. Now signing for Arabs will we have to endure more of him on the radio/podcast!? Can't abide him.
  4. On my holidays so missed the game yesterday but was a nice surprise especially seeing Lawless, Doolan, Erskine and Spittal running riot against the midden. Was sure they'd make it tougher than that for us. Getting pumped by us live on TV is sure to irritate them and possibly begin to change their mind on the 'best young manager' in Scotland. Lol. Very good. Goals where really high quality. That last one on the counter attack was lovely.
  5. I understand the frustrations but we've still got 6 weeks of open transfer window. I think 2-3 will come in and Keown will be fit for beginning of season. Archie never panics and brings in mediocrity. Last time he did that it failed miserably. I do agree that us finishing top 6 should have been capitalized on more in regards getting a few bodies in door earlier. That's what Maxwell said would happen before we actually achieved it. Plus we had more prize money and sale of Liam. But he should have just kept his mouth shut. Sure he'll learn from that. Finishing top 6 doesn't mean much is what I've recognized. Just staying up is what is needed. Overall we're still in good condition. None of the injuries are long term other than Dumbaya and it was a betfred game versus Livi. Lose on pens. Not a 4-0 loss to Albion Rovers or Brora Rangers. Let's judge once we get 6-8 games into the season. Then we can see where we are at. Look at results, performances etc.
  6. Totally agree that black trim or possibly black shorts would make it better. It's not bad. It's ok looking. Better than anticipated.
  7. Ryan's diary was interesting from the standpoint that it shows the club is way ahead of where it was even just 10 years ago. Really impressive team spirit, relaxed atmosphere and looked like a nice facility to get away and concentrate on the task in front of them this season. World away from a Lambie early morning run fest through Ruchill park [emoji85] It's also good to have players as professional and mature as Edwards in the squad. His reality and Netflix show taste aside he's very serious about how to make himself the very best player he can be.
  8. If Archie can score a fit Meekings and bring in Storey we'll all be wetting our underpants. Isn't Meekings also an injury liability? Seems to me we need two players one at CB and one at FB that are going to be higher quality than we have and are not injury prone. No easy task. What happened to the story that we are negotiating for O'Halloran? To be fair all three of these links are players of a higher calibre but massively surprised if we can pull them off.
  9. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/partick-thistle-line-move-dons-miles-storey/ Interesting [emoji57] Not surprised Dumbaya is made of glass. We will definitely need a new full back then. That's frustrating.
  10. I didn't say he was good at it. I merely stated that he has been put there several times before. I like everyone would rather he's in the middle of the park. [emoji1303]
  11. "There is no other club in Scotland I would rather play for" Thomas Cerny 2017 [emoji7]
  12. He'll be playing. We are awaiting news of new CB and until we do James will be sticking around. With Booth, Dumbaya, Elliott and Keown and Bannigan who can also play at full back I can see Penrice on loan at some point. We really only have presently Barton and Devine who are competent centre backs. Come on Archie who you got lined up? The anticipation is ramping up...
  13. http://www.footballinsider247.com/rangers-outcast-radar-two-top-flight-clubs-report/ Another article / report. May well just be O'Halloran's agent drumming up speculations but he's the type of player that would fit our way of playing. He was one of the last semi talented players to play at St Johnstone as now they are just hammer throwers under Wright. In his current lazy state and perceived poor attitude i am skeptical but if Archie can get him back to the way he was pre-Ibrox move then he's a very good player. Not sure how we'd afford his wages though? Article suggests Rangers just want him off the wage bill. He'd take a considerable cut coming to us or St Johnstone. England might be a better place for him.
  14. Ah it was worth a shot to stir the pot of this thread some more. Well aware it isn't Miles Storey. [emoji57] He'd be a decent signing tbf. I wouldn't touch that lazy bugger O'Halloran with a 100ft barge pole.
  15. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1251518/partick-thistle-want-rangers-outcast-michael-ohalloran-as-st-johnstone-remain-in-the-hunt/#comments Seems talks are happening. Who'd want to leave the luxury of Glasgow and go back to Perth? Would he be a decent option? Any thoughts?
  16. If you listen during that Jagzone video of foot volleyball where Lawless overhead kicks it, they shout "Miles, Miles". Listen closely. Now I don't want to sound like a hypocrite spouting unsolicited nonsense, but the only Miles I know in Scottish football currently, is Storey up in Aberdeen. [emoji848]Hmmm...is that the mysterious body? Could he be in talks with us and down in Essex training with us this week? Nah highly doubt it. Ignore me. Don't see it. [emoji57] Does sound like they are shouting that though.
  17. This thread is painful. Filled with fans literally spouting any kind of nonsense to will on the club and Archie into signing a CB and ST. Raymond likes the sound of his own voice FFS. Anyone who watches the Jagzone matches, listens to the audio commentary or subscribes to the Jagcast podcast is well aware of his aptitude as a chatterbox. FYI...Seems like a nice bloke. But he probably knows about as much about players coming in as any other average punter at Firhill. Good chance we will see these positions filled especially with the fact we have more cash than we've had in previous seasons. Also good chance they'll be higher quality players. But it takes time to get these kind of deals over the line.
  18. You should never assume, but surely with Ade away and Dools our only experienced striking option I wouldn't be surprised if two forwards come in this summer, one on loan and another with a signature. Azeez really didn't fit the way we play. Nesbit whilst promising isn't that player yet. It's the one area on the field we just haven't been super successful with since being back in the top flight. Dools always comes to the rescue. It's time to find someone who can take that pressure off that having to happen. I'm sure Archie and the board have a list of forwards they are targeting and it seems a few names are being banded about on here and WAT. Not sure if the replacement is green light approved as you'd have to be a mug to reject any offer for a 'striker' (use that term loosely) who couldn't score in a brothel. If we can land a forward who knows how to put the ball in the net similarly to Dools I think we've got a solid chance at repeating top 6. Especially if our rivals like Ross County (Boyce) and Motherwell (Moult) are being off loaded this summer. It's the most sought after position for a reason and is not easy getting your hands on a player who can score 15-20 goals + per season. #InArchieWeTrust
  19. TBF video footage of some previous signings, (Such as Amoo) hasn't really panned out.
  20. This Belgian lad plays like a cross between Trigger and Dools. Seems to know where the net is and how to dispatch the ball into it, which is more than Ade knows presently. Some of the footage in the video shows he has the physical game also as breaks tackles, some pace and his positioning looks good as a forward. In Archie we trust! It'd be nice for once to have some more confidence, out with Dools, in our striking options.
  21. That clown will be gone by Christmas and we still will be the only team in the division not to take points from the Sevco. Still delightful to see them wet their pants versus the 4th team in Luxembourg. Any news / rumours of a new forward?
  22. Great bit of business. Keown loved by the fans and this shows the club has really grown in professionalism and ambition to chase Keown and seems like made him a priority. Easily our best defensive player and I can see where some think he's better than Liam. Just glad he's a Jag! I don't think Archie is done yet. I think 2 possibly 3 more to come. I think this as to challenge for top 6 and reach what St Johnstone have achieved we need more depth. A forward, another center-half and possibly another full back. Mon the Jags! [emoji1045]
  23. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/15382211.Herald_Sport_podcast_episode_four__Partick_Thistle__PR__Andy_Murray_and_more/ George Francis on the new Herald Sport podcast opining about Kingsley, life at Firhill and being the best PR man in Scottish football 2 years in a row.
  24. Part of his new contract is him heading back to Reading to convince Niall to sign on...
