  1. Michael and Tom where a disgrace last night. No need for it to get so personal and irate. Kenny could have managed that time much better and not allowed it to turn into a playground argument. Why was Commons on there? He offered very little as obviously he knows very little on the topic. And has poorly thought out opinions. I didn’t like English’s approach in putting down Stewart but English knows most of what occurred. I believe that he has knowledge and Stewart tried so hard to trip him up which to me lacked maturity. His comparison of SFA and Rangers was wrong. English had the facts right in my opinion. English showed arrogance but Stewart provoked him all show. I don’t think Regan is a good executive but the package he put together for ONeill seemed to be best in Scottish history. If he doesn’t take it then maybe that’s a blessing in disguise. McLeish - absolutely not. He turned his back on us already once before. MacKay - No. I agree he needs to stay in job he has. Clarke - skeptical. Although doing great with Killie I am not sure he is right man. Klinsman - not against this idea. He’s done well in International management and USA made a mistake firing him. Alex Neil - not ready I believe. Current candidates out there being spoken about aren’t exciting.
  2. Comment from a Bournemouth fan at bottom of article "a very good young player lost in the development system, an under 20 international now out on yet another loan, he is of the age when he should have made it to the squad or moved, but good luck Bailly you deserve better than this"
  3. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/15888909.Cargill_makes_Partick_Thistle_loan_move____and_could_make_debut_against_Celtic/ This is still up...but Thistle website and BBC articles have been deleted.
  4. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spfl/15887123.Partick_Thistle_close_in_on_signing_of_Bournemouth_defender_Baily_Cargill/ Schedule is tough and we don't have the luxury of lots of games to ensure we can break out of the bottom 2-3 clubs. We've got to start taking some points from the top 6 teams if we are to get out of the bottom two. It's going to be tight but I believe we can do it. Our away form has to improve and we also have to try and maintain the home form. #It'snoteasy! ;-)
  5. Just listened to Thursday’s Terrace podcast. Great chat on Thistle and our first class documentary “Grasping the Thistle”. [emoji38] Definitely worth a listen.
  6. Seeing as it’s being reported Archie is looking to bring a defender in it may well happen, but more than likely be someone who is only given a deal till end of season. Then it needs to be addressed properly in summer as a priority.
  7. In your opinion. McCall is a pundit on a show that gave his opinion. You can dislike him. But I gave mine and I have little issue with him. I think he’s one of the better Sportsound guests.
  8. Above I have him on injured list [emoji856] Archie says returning next month some time. What about him?
  9. And would someone for the love of the almighty please take Chick Young off the air. Once again bumbling about how ONeill won’t take the job. Making any excuse to show he doesn’t want him. McLeish left Scotland in lurch and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the position.
  10. Ian McCall is decent enough bloke and coach and comes across well on Sportsound. He’s not close to the idiocy of ‘Chico’ or ‘Bonner’ and it’s a tad harsh to call him arsehole. His comments where his opinion and are we saying Jones is worth more than 500k? Probably not so not sure why McCall is being slagged off? I may be bias due to him being a former Jags manager but I didn’t find his comments news worthy. BBC once again being over the top to garnish some conflict that really isn’t there.
  11. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/partick_thistle/15829880.Chris_Erskine_thinks_that_returning_Partick_Thistle_players_can_boost_squad_like_new_signings/ Above in ET, Squiddy pretty much saying we aren't signing players. I think the only way we do is if something special becomes available, gives more balance (left foot) and/or is a player that will give us some extra and go straight into team. Squad fit and available: GKs: Cerny, Scully and Sneddon Full Backs: Penrice, Booth, Dumbuya, McGinn, Nitriansky (also plays CB) Centre Backs: Barton, Keown, Devine Defensive Midfield: Osman, Woods Midfield: Bannigan, Edwards, McCarthy, Fraser Attacking / Wide Midfielders: Lawless, Erskine, Spittal Forwards: Doolan, Sammon, Storey, Nesbit Injured List: Elliott (Due back Feb) Really when you look at it, we've got plenty of options and competition. The above is easily good enough to get the job done climbing up the league. I also think, that: 1. Barton has to start as middle CB. 2. Sammon was just coming onto a good game through December, scoring goals and we should have him and Doolan partnered together as much as possible. Storey is a nice back up with pace and skill. He could also play as a wider player and be an impact sub. 3. Edwards fitness and athleticism is under-rated and he should be kept in midfield when fit. He's an energizer bunny! 4. Spittal & Lawless are now free to play in their favored positions and should be allowed to play as creatively as possible. No more wing back roles! ;-) 5. Priority - Get Penrice and Osman signed up on new deals PRONTO! I'm excited to get back into the season...Mon the Jags!
  12. The fact he wants Graeme Souness as Scotland manager should tell you how out of touch and ignorant this clown is. Tom English chuckled and questioned him on that immediately. I imagine Broadfoot also rolling his eyes in the studio as he also mentioned Duffy. Souness hasn’t been or watched a Scottish football game in the last ten maybe fifteen years. Exception being the bigot derby. He lives the life of Riley down south and even admits he knows very little about Scottish football and the setup. He even sounded stupid giving his opinion on without Rangers the Scottish league will die patter earlier last year. Chick Young needs to retire ASAP. He sounded ridiculous last night as his contribution was Eck who quit on Scotland, Souness who doesn’t care or Duffy whom I like as a manager but isn’t a viable candidate. ????
  13. Remember we also have Penrice who has been played at LCB in friendlies during preseason and against this Chinese super league mob.
  14. If we have 3 CBs in Barton, Devine and Keown, with fit full backs and Osman & Woods as defensive mids I don’t see us shelling out for another player. The only way I think is if Archie finds a left footer like Turnbull was for balance but that may be hard to come by.
  15. He’s a shoe in for a deal. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a 3 year + deal.
  16. I know it was only 1m of highlights but that mob look shocking [emoji85] all over the place for both our goals. The 6 Jags fans present were in full abuse mode [emoji38]
  17. Penrice assist for 2nd goal. I’m Excited about this kid. Hope he pushes on now like Lindsay did after stints of success development in lower leagues. [emoji1303]
  18. Sneddon replaced Scully between sticks. Makes sense so Tam can rest. Doesn’t need to play.
  19. This was on Twitter. Starting XI but all players got time I believe.
  20. Agreed. I am sure a lot of supporters have this concern but here’s hoping you’re wrong.
  21. What a sight! El Capitan is back. Let’s hope he gets fit, stays fit and gets us moving up league and gaffer then has him sign another long term deal. [emoji1320]
  22. Lads look in good fettle out in Marbella. Sun is shining and whilst news of Turnbull is disappointing I am hope that Archie can solidify Barton back in defense now (clearly his best position) with Osman, Banzo back and Fraser will be improving over this month. So we’ve got more options for sure. I would think another defender will be incoming so we just have to wait and see. We’ve also now got Muzzy, Booth and Penrice back. Is Christie also back? Thats potentially 7 players slotting back in, so definitely feel after a decent December with 1 maybe 2 additions we’ll be ready for season to start again. For me a central defender is high priority as if one of Keown, Devine or Barton gets injured we’ll be very limited like we had been with so many full backs injured first half of season. I’m excited to get Penrice on the field. I think this kid will shine and so excited to have him back with a line of sight to cement his position in the team.
  23. Agreed. The knowledge level and time split on other teams and topics is far better than Sportsound.
  24. I said that. If you read on. I only meant premiership. It was whole point of my point.
