Ridiculous how annoyed I was getting listen to that commentary [emoji3] That’s the most annoyed I’ve been in a long time watching us. Every week I switch on we are set up differently, which is worrying at this stage of the season. Goodwin needs to decide how he wants to set up and play to our strengths. Not sure if he’s trying to be too clever or what, but he needs to go back to basics. He really seems to struggle getting the balance between being solid at the back and having ability to win games / score goals

Don’t deserve to be 1 down here. Some finish though, not many players capable of that in this league.

Good luck to them, always a really well run amateur club any time I came up against them. Interesting to see if they can fund a semi professional club by opening a pub in Drumchapel though!

Mick just needs to concentrate on being a football manager and nothing else for the next 12 Months. Unfortunately those involved in the club currently and previously have made his life 100 times harder than it had to be as Darvel manager and rightly or wrongly now just needs to deal with it.

What’s the rules around suspension? I’m massively out of touch Is it automatic 2 games? Will it be increased if we appeal?

Slightly off piste but is the salary cap in leagues one and two come into effect immediately? Are some execs and PFA not challenging it and therefore Might not come in for a season or two? Regardless, there is no doubt this will massively help our recruitment in the long term!

Trying not to get too optimistic here as inevitably, in true st mirren style, it will go tits up soon enough (probably starting with Ross Co. on Saturday!) however... When you consider we still have arguably 2 of our best players, Flynn and Magennis (big year for him) to come back, Cammy only going to improve as the year goes on and potentially a rejuvenated Kyle Mcallister if he stays injury free, couple that with 2-3 more signings (which Jim seems to have a reasonable record of so far) to plug the gaps in the squad and the outlook is pretty damn good if we can stay clear of any real injury problems this season!

Hat off to livi holding out for the 2m, guaranteed we would have pulled our pants down at the first offer!

2nd half was stressful. They managed to get a grip of Obika in the 2nd half which really nullified any threat we had. Alnwick with some crucial saves again this week, Hladky who...?!

This is brutal. Rangers look sharp but we’re making it far too easy for them at the moment Alnwick looks decent at least!

I’d like to think by this stage GS and Fitzy know what they’re doing, although this does seem slightly short sighted. Signings have massively improved since he has been appointed and can’t be coincidence, I’d happily sacrifice a players wage to minimise the chances of signing an absolute dud. Amount of money we have wasted in wages and pay offs in recent seasons on players would pay for 10 technical directors!

Nosey St Mirren fan here looking on with interest... I didn’t realise until recently you were going full time. Is this due to the sale of Hampden? If so how much are you likely to receive? Will lesser Hampden be your new ground? And does it require any work to be up to licensing standards? Is there a set plan in place? Ie get to championship in x amount of years? As I can’t imagine league 2 football at full time would be sustainable for too long? How are the signings looking for season ahead? Great opportunity for the club if being managed correctly at the top! Shake up of the pyramid will re-ignite lower league football - will be a really exciting few years ahead as we start to see some big changes in league 2!

To be fair - he shouldn’t be getting followed. The west of Scotland pages are now an absolute embarrassment - exactly the same way when Shortlees came on the seen to the amateur forum went to the point of hardly anyone posting. You Ayrshire lot are a strange bunch

I remember him looking very useful that day when he came on, I think we might have been chasing for an equalizer and he was hounding their defence, holding up the ball / winning fouls for the 20 or so mins he was on. Not sure he has appeared since then?
