  1. Care to expand? First I’ve heard of this. Surely to f**k their can’t be a power struggle already?
  2. At least the chairman got his Scottish home time he was craving. Came across as an arrogant swine at the half time interview, criticising their park and talking like they were already through, Darvel really don’t do themselves any favours.
  3. Option 2 for me, best of a bad choice. I like the idea of the paisley pattern but has been shitely implemented. Less shite strip choices and more communication on our Chairman being a moron would be appreciated from SMISA.
  4. Granted he’s only been in the door 2 Minutes but he has done nothing to give me any confidence that he will be a good leader at the Club. The beginning of his reign has been nothing short of shambolic, regardless of how much of it was inherited. On the tweet front - He must have known in May when he posted his latest tweet that he would likely be in an official position with the club in some capacity so beyond stupid the fact he’s felt the need to post that.
  5. It was never going to be sustainable lifting a team from Paisley to travel to Darvel every other week. Especially when they have no realistic chance of getting any first team football. With more realistic development opportunities on their doorstep like Johnstone Burgh (mainly ex glenvale anyway), glenvale and St. Peter’s (inc numerous others) it was a pretty short sighted quick fix from Darvel.
  6. I do genuinely think this is a shame. He was relatively well respected, and probably had a decent future in football administration before the colts debacle. I’m not sure quite how he managed to Mis judge the colts situation so badly, any one with half a brain could have predicted how this would go down, especially with all the good work that has happened in the east and west below the lowland league. I can only put it down to him being leaned on (from not sure who) to bang the drum for colt teams, or he simply got far too big for his boots and seen it as a way to get in with the ugly sisters quickly. Either way he has now left the lowland league in a weaker position. League has a lot of work to do to get some credibility back!
  7. Granted it’s early doors but early signs suggest he is out his depth. The lack of communication is unforgivable, magnified by the fact we had literally just become fan owned. Even when we did get comms the tone wasn’t right. I try to stay clear of Twitter etc as there is a lot of absolute head cases in our support that have a serious agenda against anything we do, although reading the “minutes” last night (albeit via Twitter!) he doesn’t seem to have covered himself in glory. Genuinely hope he proves me wrong and we all start pulling in the same direction again!
  8. Have you not heard, it’s a societal problem, not a Hearts problem….
  9. Don’t think it’s a case of the club coming up with the income, sounds like JG has spent all his budget. He can’t complain that he’s not been backed
  10. Hearts stopped Tanser getting crosses in yesterday which made our cross at all costs approach pretty inneffective. Tait huffed and puffed as he always does but his final ball wasn’t good enough yesterday (or last week), I think we need to move Fraser to right back and get McCarthy back in the team. Kiltie (or McGrath) needs dropped and Ethan / Flynn brought into the side to shore up the midfield. Power has been excellent despite doing the job of 2 players in the first 2 games. I really hope we can mix it up going forward, that was a bang average hearts side yesterday with a bang average manager and they were pretty comfortable against us for most of the afternoon.
  11. With broomhill fc of alloa 2021 being relegation fodder for the next few years I can’t see the chairman, who obviously acts on the best interests for the league at all times, will push for this any time soon.
  12. We’ll that was a tough watch. That was an average hearts team at best and they were relatively comfortable today. Kiltie and McGrath can’t play together (not a criticism of those 2 but the formation). Considering how exposed Power was I thought he was excellent. tanser had a quiet game which I’m sure was down to hearts game plan. Must admit, I really dislike Andy Halliday but was some finish from him. Boyce was a good strike but far too easy for him to get the shot away. Pretty predictable and 1 dimensional stuff from us again… only 2 games in but I hope Goody has the ability to change things up over the course of the season, that’s 2 weeks in a row we have lost the midfield battle.
  13. 10k a week plus free digs in tannahill terrace I heard
  14. That’s been coming - need to get a grip 2nd half. also can’t listen to our commentary in the 2nd half, the guy is absolutely brutal
  15. I get finlayson is young and one for the future but on the couple of occasions I’ve seen him he’s been a bomb scare! McCarthy is a class act, and would like to think he would get into any side in the league outside the OF. In resigned to losing him though unfortunately, I reckon 2-300k plus add ons is as good as we’re going to get
  16. I played against them for years in the Scottish amateur, I haven’t played for 6 years or so right enough. Not sure what “proof” your looking for tbh
  17. Genuinely not have a go, but if it’s COVID Related why on earth would they not just say that!?
  18. I just find it bizarre teams are allowed to just postpone games between themselves. I am massively behind new clubs having a go in the senior ranks but postponing a game 4 days into the new season doesn’t look good for anybody. If traveling mid week is going to be an issue for them then this level won’t be for them. They had a habit of doing this in their Scottish amateur days, whereas Oban and other “far flung” sides would almost always make the trip regardless of player availability.
  19. You would have thought with all the national coverage B teams were going to bring, there is no way I could have forgotten the LL kicked off last weekend… oh wait
  20. ill try again, do you know why it was postponed? I’d consider the afternoon of a game before a 3/4 hour drive late notice but all semantics really
  21. Difficult to take too much from these games. That was arguably our 2nd 11 give or take a few players - that in itself is encouraging and demonstrates the relative depth we have for aslong as I can remember. We were far better in the 2nd half showing a bit more urgency, Far too many direct / diagonal balls for my liking but that was clearly the tactic, at least they weren’t aimless punts and are at least playing to some game plan (whether we agree with it or not). Didn’t think we had to get out of first gear either, although we relied on them switching off for our first two goals otherwise I do think we would have struggled to break them down. Finlayson had 3 bomb scare moments tonight next to McCarthy who hardly broke sweat. All in all a decent, if uninspiring performance taking into account the number of changes we had in the side tonight.
