Was reading about the Garage gig in Glasgow last night and seems they kicked off with a cover of Creeping Death. They’ve always been great live band and still get excited when they bring a new album out because you know those songs are gonna be even heavier played live. I’m a total fanboy though. I was 14 when BME came out and have fucking loved Machine Head ever since. I even forgive them for The Burning Red and Supercharger because Blood Sweat Tears, From This Day and Bulldozer are solid tunes and in with the “greatest hits” now and quality live. Catharsis can get in the bin though it’s awful, but you can almost forgive Robb Flynn for that one since they’re a solid back catalogue and he’s still got it in him to write some potential belters.

Going to see them in Edinburgh a week today. Would expect they’ll play a few numbers off Kingdom & Crown but hopefully plenty of classics, maybe even a cover or two. I actually tweeted Robb a couple weeks back and asked if they’d batter out a cover of The Exploited since they’re in Edinburgh. Never replied though!

I was a wee bit disappointed in it on first listen but more because they’d already released the best songs on it apart from Bloodshot. Still a thousand times better than Catharsis though but not a patch on BME or The Blackening. Would put it on par with Locust and Bloodstone.

I’m taking away nothing from Zinchenco but having seen both play left back I still prefer Tierney. I was going to Zinchenco is perhaps more versatile as he seems like the more comfortable of the two moving into a midfield role but then Tierney has done a good job on occasions at right back or left side of a back three. It’s a hard one at left back though as Zinchenco was a regular victim of Pep-roulette at Man City but who knows, come the end of the season he might have ousted Tierney as first choice LB for Arsenal, but I think Tierney being made of glass will just as likely play a part in that.

If craigkillie was specifically referring to Rangers then f**k knows where he got that information from. It was well known that Mick Beale was the main man on the footballing front when Gerrard was in charge at Rangers, with Gerrard taking more of a typical managers role and only being “hands-on” on match days. Indeed a couple years ago at the annual Rangers Charity Foundation ball, Gerrard spoke briefly and handed over to Beale who he referred to as “the man that makes our team tick”.

I disagree. I think Tierney is a much better attacking left back. The difference is Zinchenko can stay fit for more than a couple of games. Shamelessly narrow minded but I also think he looks like an utter fud based on literally just his face and those dozy eyes.

Who is this creepy looking ginger freak? Awful, toe curling idea for a show. Beyond pish patter. The sort of show that oddballs and outcast student types will find hilarious. My wife and I thought the exact same thing. A real bipolar schizophrenic vibe from the guy but genuinely unsure how much was an act and how much was the real him.

That’s good then hopefully it’s a coach and they fill it. I remember a couple of seasons back we had a couple of real feisty matches with them through at their place and both sets of fans getting hot under the collar too and expected they’d bring a good crowd to Bo’ness but alas it was barely a minibus full.
