  1. Trying my best to be as impartial as possible here - Your description of the Rose player/staff involvements in the fisticuffs is near identical to what my Rose supporting friend told me. Also no surprise whatsoever that the usual Rose plebs on here are in full-blown denial mode. That said, I think Dundonald are gonna get hauled over the coals for their behaviour but only fair the Rose do too.
  2. The guy’s a complete dickhead. Sets up a Bo’ness club. Breaks up a Bo’ness community club pathway. Sets up a new pathway. For Grangemouth. Good for the town. You actually think the Rose turned up and put any effort into playing you lot? Cup Final effort from you lot. Second gear and half arsed from the Rose. Them’s the facts.
  3. Gemmell has been on-call on match days numerous times over the years. Max had to shout him off to take a radio call mid match just a few weeks ago at the midweek game. Do you practice writing absolute garbage that makes no sense to anyone other than you? And even then….
  4. Ah ok, gotcha. Trent Alexander Arnold sometimes does that as well.
  5. Just dropping further and further down the table. I’d give Max needs his jotters and have Ian Little see out the season and see how he does. We started the season on fire without Max present, playing great football, defensively sound and banging in goals. Literally since Max returned it’s been almost consistently pish. The team and the club are going backwards incredibly quickly.
  6. What exactly are we meaning by “inverted fullback”? To me when players are “inverted” it typically means they’re playing on the opposite side of the pitch than there favoured foot - i.e. Salah being left footed playing from the right wing.
  7. Ok cheers just wasn’t sure. What was the beef between them and the Rose?
  8. Just wondered - I’m sure there was something along those lines but may have the team in question confused with someone else.
  9. Yes I know all that, but I’m asking if it’s right they’d approached the Rose first but got told to bolt prior to rocking up at Newtown as BU Juniors?
  10. I may have this wrong as I’m struggling to remember, but did what’s now Athletic not initially approach Linlithgow Rose but got told to bolt after deciding they were going to step up from amateurs?
  11. With some quick and/or skilful attacking midfielders that could chip in with some goals, it’s almost as if we need a big strong centre forward like, erm, I dunno, maybe the big fellow Dan at Cowdenbeath to hold it up and bring them into play in and around the box…
  12. More like “more individual wages”. Good luck to Athletic in their quest moving forward, but as it stands they’re the one horse in the one horse race that is a really really piss-poor league.
  13. My main memory from the Lockdown years has to be routinely going out to the doorstep every Thursday night for a month to clap for that boy from Irvine who got a month in the jail for jet-skiing 4.5 hours over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man for his Nat King Cole.
  14. Good luck today BU. Shall keep an eye on social media for game updates. No desire to visit CSS. Absolutely horrible ground and a bit embarrassing for CSS that last season they were the only away game I went to where there wasn’t a reduced admission fee for concessions or kids. Hopefully this season they’ve taken on board the current cost of living crisis and have reduced entry price for the young yins and auld yins.
  15. Came on to say this ^^^ The noises also get a second longer, an octave deeper and a bit gruntier with every passing year.
  16. Arnold Clark are fucking chancers. Just had car serviced by them (normally go to Farmers on Grahams Road but they quoted £50 higher on the phone than their website said) and AC offered the next best price. Anyway they phoned my missus when the car was pretty much ready but they wanted to give a “urgent advisory” on both the front and rear disks and pads which they could’ve replaced there and then for £500-and-something.… The car hasn’t even done 25000 miles! Clearly Arnold Clark still in the dark ages and think they’ll make a fast buck if it’s a women they’re dealing with. Just to be sure though I went and asked the neighbour a couple of doors down (a mechanic) to have a quick look. He said they look like they’ve done about 5000 not 25000.
  17. Rock/metal is my favourite genre of music and I like a lot of really heavy stuff, but yeah when there’s no harmony in the music and there’s no deciphering a single word being roared, it’s truly awful.
  18. Yep, definitely the vaccines causing the rise in cardiac issues. Definitely won’t have anything to do with folk spending the some of the previous couple years locked up for 23 hours a day with f**k all to do but get pished and eat takeaways since “following the science” concluded that retailers should introduce big queue enabling number limits and one way systems which turned getting decent food from the supermarket a mile down the road into a 4 hour round trip, whilst closing gyms, banning sports, limiting folk to 1 hours exercise a day and enabling GPS to work when they want. Nope, none of that will have anything to do with a rise in heart problems…. Same with those who *checks notes*. Those pyjamas have more buttons than you have teeth to be fair you stupid jobby-touching imbecile.
  19. Historically it’s often depended on their injury list and suspensions…
  20. Pleased for the lad then because he really struggled to find it 90% of the time when he last played in a competitive league. Good luck to him when he eventually moves to Kelty and hopefully it’s not too much of a jump in level for him. Yeah heard that.
  21. In other news - Former BU striker Tiwi has left the other team and signed for Kelty.
  22. I’m not sure what’s up with it to annoy Number seven. The set up and first choice is pretty much how we started the season - A team playing well, defending well and scoring goals. Then Max got back from his holidays and started tinkering.
  23. Now that he’s back hopefully the push Adam Cole will likely receive dwindles fairly quickly. Credit where it’s due, he’s alright on the mic and plays the heel fairly; however inside the ropes I think he’s incredibly beige and “Panama sunrise” is one of those moves that shouldn’t be a move. It’ll be interesting to see where they go with him initially though as I don’t see him being stabled with the Bucks again now that Kenny Omega is back. Some shite about feeling neglected by the Bucks for their pal Kenny while out injured leading to a Cole-Omega could be a decent feud especially now the best-of-seven has concluded.
