There's a teaching job website, TES which has streamlined the application process really well in that they have provided a thorough online form which includes everything like job experience, education, referees etc. There is even a space where you can upload a tailored "Supporting statement" and your CV. The PTTGOMN are the number of schools who then provide their own form to be completed which duplicates everything that the now prepopulated form has.
There are way too many people who get kicks from recruiting someone, asking them to complete tasks which are merely designed to put the applicant under unnecessary stress and make the member of staff responsible for recruitment feel like Johnny Big Potatoes or having eight people on an "interviewing panel". Just speak to people!
