Utterly atrocious game. Both teams seemed happy just to punt long aimless passes about, more so us than Morton.
Bruce Anderson looked completely uninspired when he came on, not surprised he didn’t start but we looked totally toothless in attack.
I only caught the 2nd half but neither side looked like winning.
some major changes needed.

Is this particularly true though of a run of the mill home game at Somerset? Or indeed any lower league game. Maybe at times from the travelling support but that won’t be an issue.
I think the problem is there is a risk of it at most games. We’ve got our fair share of idiots who can’t be trusted at the best of times as do almost every club in Scotland.

If you identified who you go with, and what households that mixed, you could be allocated a barrier or seat, a gate to enter by and a time to enter. All workable. The only concern would be with the fans not sticking to the guidelines.
You still get smoke bombs in grounds, you still get folk smoking under the roof, people turning up drunk, smuggling bottles in etc and I don't doubt that people would break any rules in place during this. There has to be something set out to punish the individuals rather than the clubs......if the clubs have followed guidance.
And this is the reason why it won’t happen.
Scottish football fans have shown themselves to generally be arseholes. We can’t stick to age old laws like no bottles/cans, no pyrotechnics, no booze in the stadium and not entering the field of play.
Add to the fact that since Covid hit people have ignored some of the restrictions when it suits them.
What faith would the government have that fans could behave. Even With stiff penalties, when some people go to the football they lose all concept of right, wrong and stupid.

Do you think maybe Zanatta is self isolating and they're keeping it quiet?
Yes that’s what it is, it’s all a big conspiracy .

Ah, deflection. The title of Chapter 4
I wasnt talking nonsense. The rules are pretty clear that it should have been a red card. Opinions mean nothing
f**k me you’re a tedious little twat aren’t you.

Scrabbling around, in this context, means grabbing wildly at anything to deflect from the fact that you're horribly wrong.
You didnt just say the rules had change, though, did you? You jumped in proclaiming "NONSENSE", telling us all that the rules had changed.
When it was pointed out to you that this didnt apply and it could still be a sending off but maybe wasnt because Buchanan maybe wasnt getting the ball you flipped to agree.
Then you're justification jumps to whether or not it was a deliberate foul or accidental.
Next comes the classic tactic of playing the man rather than the ball and we finish with everyones favourite, the "just get over it".
I dont know if anyone is writing a book on scrambling round on a forum but if they are you are the source material
Coming from the guy who thinks it was “ridiculous” for the ref to give Maxwell a second booking and sent off for his blatant cheating.
You we’re talking nonsense when you said it had to be a red card. We could go over and over this for the next month and still we would come to different opinions.

Lol wut?
I don't need to come up with anything. You're the one scrabbling around justifying a decision by quoting rules you clearly don't understandOk champ.
I’m not “scrabbling” around. (Wtf does that even mean?)
I hardly quoted the rules, I just said the rules were changed so it’s not always a sending off.
The ref has either decide it wasn’t a clear goal scoring opportunity, the defender made an attempt to get the ball or the foul was accidental. Given his previous against us I’d be surprised if Steven Mclean did us any favours at all.
Dry your eyes, there’s always next week.

Exactly what you said they were apart from the bit you clearly didnt know anything about.
Well done on still getting it wrong. The only bit that's up for interpretation is whether buchanan has a clear goal scoring opportunity. Any reasonable interpretation would be that he does.10 hours and that’s the best you can come up with?

I haven’t heard the commentary but if it’s anything like the interviews I presume it is equally as cringeworthy.

Is that based on what you thought the rules were or the actual rules?
The ball drops right wher buchanans foot would be if he wasn't pulled down. No attempt to play the ball, therefore it's a red card. The rules are exactly what I said they were, only thing that’s open to interpretation is whether the defender makes an attempt to play the ball and if the foul was deliberate or accidental.
It’s a jostle in the box, Buchanan has his hands over the defender to begin with and pushes him with 2 hands to begin with. The defender then loses his footing and falls, flattening Buchanan on his way down.
Penalty yes, red card definitely not. By rights it should have been booking for the defender, I’m not sure if he was booked.

That only applies if the player challenging makes a genuine attempt to play the ball, which he clearly didn't. The reason it's probably not a red card is because it wasn't absolutely clear that the Queens player was going to get to the ball.
Yeah suppose that’s true.
Either way definitely not a red card.

Didn’t watch the game live but from the highlights I don’t think we were as bad as suggested.
probably should have been 3 up at half time with the number of chances. 2nd half was poor but we still had chances to score.
Anderson looked poor, maybe still to gel with Moff and maybe a yard off the pace with his midweek travel.

Absolute stick on red card for the Queens penalty. Buchanan scores if he isnt hauled to the ground. Its hard to tell if Maxwell was caught or not. I dont think anyone would have complained to loudly if it hadnt been a penalty but to send him off was ridiculous
Nonsense, it’s a stonewall penalty but that’s not a red card.
The rules changed in 2016 to prevent teams being unfairly penalised by losing a man and a goal. It’s not an automatic sending off for preventing a goal scoring opportunity.

Does anyone know if the au media streams allow you to cast it to the tv using a chrome cast for example? Rather than using an HDMI from the laptop,
Download MomoCast or Webvideocaster from the App Store and you can cast any stream from your iPhone to Chromecast.
Can even cast the dodgy streams from Hesgoal.

That almost NEVER happens. Indeed the parent club normally wouldnt allow it.
Happened a bit this pre-season, particularly with part time clubs, because with Premier already playing and lower divisions not it made sense not to complete the paperwork till later.
We did it last season too with the boys from Ipswich.

Oliver McBurnie is a very effective player at what he does. The Tartan Army hating him is downright weird.
The Tartan Army dislike him because his commitment to Scotland is questionable, not because of his ability.

That black hole David Smith was talking about in the AP if the club don't shift the required amount of season tickets doesn't sound too good.
Could just be rhetoric about to boost sales along.
Given LC’s history and previous comments I’d be astounded if we have put ourselves in a bad position given the uncertainty this season.

He did sign a fair few of them.... Michael Moore for one.

Sol Brynn- England Under 18’s Keeper. Plays with Middlesbrough. We know Mick has a connection there.....
Or Adam Przybek, Wales under 21 keeper from Ipswich.

Fingers crossed it’s not Ryan Scully then

In fairness we don't even have a goalkeeper or a striker (other than Moore) yet, so i think we should be concentrating 100% on filling these positions before we start worrying about situations which are unlikely / may never arise as regards squad cover.
Like I said in my original post, GK and striker are the main concern. However we would be foolish to think we don’t need some cover.
Unless there’s some talent in the academy?

I disagree we have got more than we had last season. Walsh zanatta and mccowan can all interchange and play different positions, plus we have moff who can play there too I think the only positions we need are a striker and a keeper
It’s pretty much a given that Walsh, McCowan, Chalmers and Zanatta will all pick up injuries.
A squad player who can cover wouldn’t go a miss

Biggest concern with the squad (other than the GK & Striker) is that if any of the 3 attacking midfielders get injured we have nobody who’s capable of replacing them.
There would be a real lack of pace and creativity in there. We could do with a utility man who can play on either wing or through the middle.

If Reece Cole signs and he is half as good as he is in FM2020 we’ll have a great goal scoring midfielder on our hands

It’s definitely not happening at Ayr for Bruce. He’s being sent back to Aberdeen in January.
Been a total flop at Ayr, I believe it’s attitude rather than ability.
The last Dons player we sent back to Pittodrie with his tail between his legs was a certain Scott McKenna.
