Remember about this time last year that clown Tartan Tammy bombarded us with signings we were apparantly after the whole summer, jesus he was up there as one of the worst even by P&B standards.
Would be some laugh if he reappeared, would cheer up the lockdown.
Please god no

Lauchlan previously served on the old SFL board did he not?

Brechin hugely benefit from the proposal, it stopped any chance of them getting relegated out of the league.
Ah I missed that. Thought they were still going down.

Has there been any indication of who the fourth club to vote no (or not vote yes) in L1/L2 was? So far I’ve only seen confirmation of Falkirk, East Fife and Stranraer.
I’d take a punt at Brechin.

So long as Partick go down and Falkirk stay down then I'm content.
If we could add Raith going bust to that list it would be awesome.

@Robbo63 any idea what the current state of play is at the club with players wages?
Have they been put on furlough or are we still shelling out 100%?

I presume the club could effectively go into hibernation? I can see a situation where all contracts are ended and staff laid off until the income comes back.
Dreadful for those involved but the club itself will be able to rebuild (as everyone else will be in the same boat).Wages would have to be paid up until the contracts end or redundancy paid, not sure what impact that would have on finances, would the club scrape through? Maybe the board would have to fire in some additional cash.
One thing is certain though, we wouldn’t be the only club in turmoil. Raith, Falkirk, Morton, Queens would all definitely be in a spot of bother. Alloa too if you listen to their chairman.

Great laugh if Dundee United were consigned to another year in the championship
I’d rather see them go up and Partick go down.
Lets just end the League season now, play play offs in June as planned based on current positions.

In recent weeks we've beaten Inverness, Ross County, lost by the odd goal to an in form Premier league St Johnstone and had a really good display and result at Alloa. Yes, in among that lot we had a very poor performance and result against Morton and a mediocre performance and result at Firhill but let's not get all "old firm fans" here.
I'd also say we were every bit as good as both Dundee sides in the last week so I honestly can't understand why anyone is angered or disappointed by our "recent" performances or results.
We can also talk down the quality of the league as much as we want, but the reality is that on budget and club size the standard we need to aim for to compete at the top is ultimately the Dundee sides and irrespective of whether we're always playing fantasy football or not, the team is indeed continuing to compete and continuing to pick up points, honestly, what the hell do some expect from our club ??
Very sensible post. Some people need a reality check.

Yeah Moff definitely offside. Penalty was well struck and a decent save. Other than that doesn’t look like there was much between 2 sides.
Really does emphasise how far we’ve come when we’re disappointed with that result.

Personally I don’t judge anyone based on their political opinions but if you vote Tory you are a c**t of the highest order and are not deserving of me even giving you a second thought.

I'm not sure Muirhead's suspension is over, since the game was abandoned. We'll know soon enough.
Pretty sure Kerr confirmed that it counts towards the suspension in his post match interview.
lets hope the club get confirmation though!

Well our team is falling apart, we only have 1 central defender.
No we don’t. Muirheads suspension is over. Roscoe is available and Stevie Bell has bug which I’m sure won’t take him long to recover from.

Don’t suppose anybody can upload it to YouTube or is it on iplayer?

I thought Gillespie was a signing from the Irish league? Is he just on loan as well?
I'm a wee bit concerned by the number of loans we're going to be relying on. It'll be fine for the run in but doesn't help us in the summer.I’m not too concerned, if the stories are true Kerr is already working on bringing guys in for next season.
there are never really many decent players available in our budget in January and we probably used most of what was there to fund Houston’s transfer.

I was asked to leave the Meridian a few years back while wearing a discreet West Ham hoody!
That’s understandable.

Perhaps he didn't fancy the club.
Perhaps we couldn’t afford the expected wage contribution

Definitely nothing wrong with Moore’s. He’s gone for the same ball Scully has. It’s obvious neither of them has heard the whistle or seen the flag.
The Geggan one is debatable. Ive seen people sent off for it before but the camera isn’t too far away to clearly see what happened. If he had been sent off it would’ve been harsh.

Not to sure what point your making but if it’s to do with signing players, regardless of Colin Weirs involvement or not are our attendances not far off double yours - in which case it’s really not that puzzling that we can probably offer higher wages than yours and that alone can be a key factor in players leaving one club for another
regardless I’m eternally grateful for what colin did with setting up our youth academy and seemed a very down to earth guy who didn’t let his lottery wins get to his head. RIP Colin, thoughts go to his friends and family at this very sad time
I’‘me just hoping the Partick Thistle clusterfuck continues.
No idea what our crowds have to do with you signing players. You’ve had a significantly bigger budget than us for the last 3 windows and it’s not helped.

My fear is the club could be in limbo whilst any Will is discussed and maybe challenged over the next few months, which includes his 65% stake in the club and 50% stake in the ground, plus obviously 3 black cats.
As we are 3 days away from entering a transfer window any potential funding for this from either Colin or 3BC won’t happen now.
My fear is his stake gets sold off to someone else to fund the estate to the family
Here’s hoping.

That’s exactly what we should be doing with signing targets from the likes of league 1.
That would imply we have signing targets at this stage which would be very un-Ayr United of us.

No, I can't figure it out. Please explain to me what Docherty will do differently now. I want to learn.
For a start Michael rose was not playing games that could have in impact on what league he is playing in next year.
whats to say doc doesn’t shit outta challenge, score an og, give away a corner that could have in impact on next seasons leagues?

Docherty isn’t going to get a move better than a team in this league and whether you like it or not Thistle will stay up and be better than us next season.
The best he can do is go to whatever team is offering him good money in this league. That’s a punt.
theres still every chance of them doing a Falkirk.

If that’s true then Partick are fucked. They’ve paid well over the odds for an average player.
I like Doc but he’s no world beater.
