he should never have been given a two year contrac. He should have been told save us last season then look at performances and how he is doing. I guarantee he wouldn’t have been in this job now.
And that’s the kicker.
no decent/self respecting manager would accept those terms.

McAdam is certainly no Greg Fleming when it comes to pens just seemed to drop to one side was never going to save any of them unless it was straight down his throat.
Yeah kinda looked like he just fell over

Are Thistle the only team in the division that put highlights behind a paywall?
No, Ayr do too.
Although it’s currently free although you do need to sign up and log in. In all honesty they will need to remain free as the service is so bad, nobody would pay for it.
shame really as we used to have a decent highlights package on YouTube.

How does letting half of the players who scored last season go, not replacing them, and signing an entire new defense help with that?
The players currently on the books scored 12 senior goals between them last season. The entire team.
To be fair we have signed a striker who has 2 in 3 games so far. It’s not that we “let the players go” they chose to leave and go elsewhere.
I actually think that what’s happened this year with signings is fewer younger players have been released from the top flight as the clubs there are planning on running smaller senior squads and using youth to bulk it out . I will add this is purely a theory, haven’t done any research to back
this up.

What I’d give for a Stevie Kerrigan now…..

Id say after watching the highlights we should defo be signing Adeloye. Took his goal well and all came from his knockdown from a long ball, which as we know is Hoppy’s preferred tactic.

Looks like Bell's doing the same at Partick so maybe not!!
On the forwards, Faal seems to have the better scoring record, though at a lower level, but Adeloye probably the better player. I know they have both come from the National league, but its not as if that is on a par with Auchinleck or Troon - National League now is Notts County, Halifax, Chesterfield, Grimsby, Southend, Wrexham etc and is probably on a par with our league - avg attendances range from 5500ish down to 750ish not saying that attendances have any baring on the standard of football, just gives an indication on how much they can spend on players
That’s my thoughts. It’s an absolutely honking standard but so is the Scottish Championship.
there’s bound to be the odd gem kicking about.

I believe Adeloye only played 30 minutes for EK and scored twice in a 9-0 thrashing, then their season ended due to COVID. He certainly has potential.
Sign them both! Can’t be any worse than Andy O’Connell.
Faal was at Bolton after hitting 20 goals in 23 games for Enfield. He can’t be that bad surely.

The next horrible feeling I have about this season is that we’re going to sign some of these absolute ringers.
That highlight reel, f**k me
He looks like he is full of energy but clearly only has one foot.

A certain LS might of scored some of those many chances we've had over the tournament
No, no he wouldn’t. A great player for us but way out his depth in the Premier let alone the national team.

Not sure that’s true. It was arguably the social media meltdowns that contributed to Mark Kerr being sacked. I’m not saying that’s necessarily a good thing BTW. I remember Lachlan commenting that he used to spend a lot of time on fans forums when he first became chairman but soon realised how destructive and counter productive that could be when you have to stop thinking like a fan and start thinking like a chairman. Kind of get the feeling that Dave Smith might be well advised to listen to Cameron on that one.
I dont know that’s 100% accurate. I’m pretty sure it was being bottom of the table and not being able to buy a win for 9 games that led to Kerr’s sacking. I’m sure Dave Smith won’t be making decisions based on what some dimwit posts on SRE Facebook.
Hopkin is what 4 months in to his contract and has been in charge for maybe 10 games. He’s not going anywhere.
Of course you are free to moan, whine and criticise to your heart’s content on here, it’s an open forum.....

Where you getting a 3 minute interview? The interviews with McCall were often 20-30 minutes long.
I certainly don’t remember any video of McCall’s being 30mins long.
I’d much rather the manager was spending time with the players or watching video of potential signings than wasting 30mins cringing whilst Callum asks questions.
Some people on here seriously need to invest in some Tena with the amount of knicker wetting that’s going on.
Even if he does make a James Hunt of it, no amount of bashing and slavering over your keyboard is gonna change it.
He’s not going anywhere so maybe it’s time to calm down and back him?

I believe it was Cammy Duncan, not Henry Smith. Unless they both did it?

As Djaffo has mentioned above , no goalkeeper has signed yet as a couple are coming to training next week , if I was a betting man I would not be putting a penny on Rodgers would be an outsider , striker will be a good addition
You’ve been peddling this striker being a good addition for a while now. Hope you’re on the money!

Danny Rogers would be Absoulotely fine and probably the best we can hope for.
Exactly my feeling.
He was previously very good at this level whilst on loan, he’s experienced and generally reliable.

Interesting comments regarding Mark Kerr dismissal from 36:00 onwards
What a load of balls. Mark Kerr was woefully out his depth as was demonstrated by our numerous late collapses and bizarre transfer dealing.
Yes he probably would still be in charge if Lachlan was still there but by his own admission, Lachlan always gave manager too much time.

Would I be right in thinking that Peter Weir remains our record signing at around the £150k mark ??
We paid £153k for Mark Campbell apparently.
