When has a club ever made it public knowledge that they are in talks with players. It’s blatantly obvious that your club will be trying to sign players.
Social media has made fans think that they need to know what’s happening at the club ever minute of every day.Of course I need to know.
If it's a community club, act like one.
Over the years, it's claimed to be one, but falls short IMHO

All the club has to do was say they are currently in talks with a view to signing a number of players.
Final details are being ironed out and an announcement will be made at a certain date or once details are finalised.
But as ever, hee haw.
And I'll get last year's Championship prices won't drop to Division 1 prices

Isn’t the lack of news down to your social media guy being on holiday?
Or the usual lack of information coming from the club?

The lack of any sort of news from the club is staggering.I've made my views known on management appointments,i won't go over old ground, but where the hell are the signings?are there any,and if the rumours are true why the hell would we entertain them.Season ticket renewal? why bother at this rate.get things sorted Alloa, this is becoming an utter farce. It's pretty obvious fans don't come high on the priority list.Just keep us up to date for christs sake.
We really shouldn't be surprised, season after season this lack of communication has been the main features of the club as a whole.
Especially when our new manager announced over a week ago 3 new signings would be revealed last week.
Glad we're a community club, otherwise we'd have to make up crap signing rumours az we give the club our money for a season ticket we really Might not want and do a pay as you go system.

I though 3 signing were going to be announced this week?
Yeah, unfortunately 'thought' planted a feather and thought he'd grow a chicken.
Typical Alloa, or is it the mushroom factory - kept in the dark and fed on shit

What were your thoughts on Ray Grant, we all I loved the guy
Didn't get the chance to see his contribution to the team due to you know what, not his relentless pursuit of collecting yellow cards.
The fact he has gone to the Albion speaks for itself. Possibly given up on achieving fame and fortune

Nice to see the rumours are coming in.
Difficult to say if it's better not to know if the rumours are a bit scary.

Good to see the club keeping the fans up to date with all things Alloa Athletic.
Do we now have to tune in to Go Radio to hear any updates? Why have a semi OS if it's so out of date Joe McCsllan is last season's top scorer

I'm retired and have shedloads of spare time on my hands.
Come to think of it, it was Robert in the office at the back door I spoke with. Either before or after the walking football session.

Fair enough your absolutely due time off, surely the club must have a contingency plan for you being off.
I phoned the club a while back, offering my services to keep the OS up to date, but was advised at that time they didn't need my help.

That was on GoRadio last week if I'm not mistaken.
It already is ' this week '. Maybe it should be ' later this week ' ?

BF may have arrived, one confirmed new signing, and the deathly silence that follows as the norm for the Wasps.

Something that Paul Hartley showed when we were up against it in the Championship a fee seasons ago

As many here have said, we have had many players and management at the club that came with no pedigree or bad press from their previous clubs.
It isn't the end of the world if it doesn't work.

Imo Barry would be a good call but am told Falkirk are in talks with him
First we need confirmation, then we can see what's what.
If it's true, we'll have a manager in place to hopefully get some signings in early doors.
He might have been want to keep the fanbase updated.

Confirmed tonight on Reporting Scotland
One way of making sure that the Indodrill will be fan free and Covid 19 isn't to blame

At least we know who our local derby will be against

If this has been covered previously I am sorry, but why is there no final score coverage when there is no Premiership games?
Are the pundits so devoid that they are unable to converse about any teams (Hearts and Dundee exempted) in the 3 lower divisions?
I thought they did the SPFL final scores, guess it has a silent F after all.

Even Nicola Sturgeon agrees. She called it 'the Celtic Rangers match' and 'the Glasgow Derby' yesterday but made no mention of the OF.
If Nicola said it, it must be true

You would think the Standard fans might have given us a song or two. Do they no have the sash over there?
I think they are football supporters as opposed to religious twats

Edit @bairney
Oops, just realised we are discussing Rangers RIP FC and not the current creation.
Apologies to all those who believe this is the same team.

Depends how you spell Rangers. Or do you mean Sevco, as Rangers died in 2012 if I am not mistaken
On 06/06/2020 at 13:45, bairney said:Would Rangers still be alive today without Marseille Cheating?

Because the Rangers International FC believe they are the same team that existed their pre - 2012 demise.
Everyone without Govanitis and outside BBC Scotland realize they are a new team, with Second, First, championship winnings, oh and not forgetting the Petrofac Cup. One win in 4 attempts. How marvelous.
You forgot to ask why they are sporting 5 stars above the old badge.

I'm not interested in Celtic.
I'm a hoops fan, but black and gold hoops, not green and white.
