  1. I thought you were meaning the tanning and female waxing salon but that's Waxy Aw' Corners.
  2. Petrol station at one of the local Tesco's is closed for a few days for refurbishment. Surrounded by hoardings. Do they put signs up telling you of the closure before you turn off the main road? Do they turn off the petrol price and opening hour signs? No! That would be too sensible, they'd rather have cars and hgv's coming in and having to turn away again. Problem is the hoardings aren't noticeable because of fencing and trees on the approach.
  3. You'll want a medium then, not in shirt size but to get in touch with Billy Smart. Piss even more people off, go for Dobby.
  4. Depends if Mercer has got his legs untangled following the roasting he took on Saturday. Mercer and Rankin are imho proving to be poor signings. They are here for next season too I think. Mercer may improve, and there's plenty room for improvement, but giving Rankin a two year deal was a poor decision by the Manager/BOD.
  5. Reconsider my earlier post, on today's showing a fuckin liability. (So is Rankin but that's a different story). Mercer taken to the cleaners more times than my demob suit.
  6. Personally for me just not good enough yet for this level. He's been at left back for last two games and looked a bit lost whilst at right back he was either good or shaky. Inconsistent probably the best description but our overall defensive displays have been poor so a bit harsh to judge him in that set-up.
  7. Agreed, but is our present goalie/coach not signed up for another season? Alexander may be out of our price range and probably has higher ambitions than mid-championship football plus I can't see him or Robinson happy to be bench warmers.
  8. Tourists in Edinburgh who press the buttons to cross at road juctions then cross before green crossing light shows just cos no traffic us coming. Result is when they do have the right to cross there's no-one waiting to cross and traffic is held up needlessly.
  9. I quite like Frank Skinner and Room 101 but it bugs me the way he turns every guest's item round to a story where he can talk about himself. Richard Madeley, who I detest, is the same when interviewing people. He'll ask his guest a question then butt in and start talking about himself and Judy. I know it's easier just not tuning in but sometimes he has a guest on that you want to hear about but he's more interested in talking about himself. Cretin of a man.
  10. So doing insurance companies out of work. You wouldn't have a job if everyone took this course of action. Good luck anyway.
  11. Was that not Super Ally, he fits the description (apart from the Ayrshire bit maybe). Just try www.fatarseholesupportersofdeadclubs.com. It's a long shot but you never know. Greenie awaited.
  12. That's probably not what the other drivers around you were saying My PTTGOYN for today: Umbrellas, when you meet someone right at the corner of a building with their brolly up and just miss injury or blinding and they have the cheek to give you the "watch where your going" look. NO! You're the one with the lethal weapon. You watch where your going.
  13. Getting back to radios on building sites, or at work in general, I've worked on sites where there are four or five different trades working, each with their own radio and tuned to different stations. Fuckin bedlam. I recall one site where two sparkys were feeding wires through conduits, one was upstairs and one downstairs and they were shouting to each other what colour cable to feed and how much was needed. It went something like; "Feeding red cable" "What?" "Red cable" "Eh? "Fuckin red cable" "Ok red cable" "Black cable now" "Eh?" "Fuckin black cable" "Did ye say black?" And so it went on until I politely suggested it might be an idea to turn their fuckin radio down from full blast and they might hear each other better.
  14. Any truth to the rumour that it will only be finished on three sides?
  15. One of the problems is, like Saturday, we don't give wide players enough time to get forward before its hoofed out. The simple fact that if you keep possession the opposition has far less chance of scoring seems to be lost on a lot of players and coaches. Anyway apologies for getting you riled.
  16. Another thing that is starting to piss me off is the "tactic" at our kick-offs when the ball is played back followed by a hoof up the park and invariably into touch, result two passes and possession given away. Our kick-off at the start of the second half on Saturday was Dobbie back to Jacobs who thumped it into touch near Falkirk's goal-line. Yes it put us up well into their half but possession was lost. I have to say it's not just Queens who are guilty, I've noticed this happening even in the EPL. I don't even know what advantage this rule change has to the game. Maybe someone with a bit more tactical nous than me can explain the advantages.
  17. I think Naysmith made a mistake during the January transfer window by not bringing in more cover for the CH positions. Yesterday proved again that Dowie's and Brownlie's form is too erratic and the same applies to Higgins when he gets a chance. Who does that leave as cover or alternative, probably only Hooper who can't get a regular gig on the bench and is free move on if he finds another Club, if he hasn't done so already. We seem to be well covered in midfield and have adequate options up front, especially now that Hilson is back in the squad, but we are losing too many sloppy, avoidable goals which the defence, especially the central pairing, have played a big part.
  18. Yes, it was about as effective as his wall line up at Falkirk when Hippolyte passed the ball into a virtually unguarded net. At least Kidd had to put a slight bend on his free-kick yesterday but keeper and wall were both culpable. It's pointless pulling off great saves, which he did a couple of times yesterday, only to mess up at something quite basic. Hilson. for me, was the biggest miss when he got injured fairly early in the season, speed . Fortunately we got Dobbie in but Hilson's workrate, speed and direct play was not only effective but pleasing to watch. He's second best to Dobbie taking on opponents with the ball at his feet but he has a turn of speed that Dobbie lacks.
  19. Don't you mean can't believe it's not better. I've got a dyslexic headache, a margarine.
