I didn't want reconstruction in any form. But I would have said that the one option that was never explored was the 14, 10, 10, 10 for a maximum of 2 seasons. It's still shite, but from the point of view of the clubs that might have worked. Permanent reconstruction was never going to be accepted in a month of Sundays.

Very disappointed with Tom English today, who before this crisis all kicked off I really liked, in that he was intent on trapping Donald Findlay into going back on things that he was saying. The only one who did actually get trapped was Levein after he said that he doubted that Hearts would ever loan another player to Cowdenbeath. The second that Findlay had a go at him about that, you could tell that he realised that he’d made an arse of himself with that one. Never, ever thought that I would find myself saying that the only person that came out of the discussion today with any credit was Donald Findlay. Again nobody acknowledging that the permanent reconstruction to a top league of 14 would have been a horror story, which is where all the arguments fell down.

I feel a bit sorry for Deans. That is the rant of a man not fully in control of himself.

I wanted the season finished off with all the games played. It wasn’t possible, so happy to accept the leagues being called. I want the Scottish Cup semi finals to be played with crowds, including me, being there. If that’s not possible or feasible, happy to accept that as well.

I can’t see any additions to the squad in the present circumstances, unless someone is sold for big money. That is apart from Jonny Hayes, and that’s only because of what Dave Cormack has said. Like others I don’t think that we’ll get anything approaching £4m for Scott McKenna and with my sensible head on, I would take anything onwards of £2m.

Given the differential in budgets, it would be a major surprise if you didn’t scud Aberdeen. (Not sure if I’m allowed to mention budgets)

Basically, no one is permitted to criticise Celtic about anything. They are always correct.
