    Mine didn't. I called my history teacher Mr Henderson...until I was 17 drinking in his pub and he bought me a pint. In the pub he was David. He is buried opposite my uncle now. I always say hello. Sir and Miss were never a thing at my school.

    Stats, eh? In all the 72 F1 races Jim Clark raced in, he was on pole position in 33. He got 8 grand slams (pole position, fastest lap, led every lap, won the race) out of his 72 races; next on the list is Lewis Hamilton, with 6 grand slams from 335 races. He won 70% of all races in 1963. He won the Belgian GP by nearly 5 minutes, still a record. He still holds a few records, 60 years after he was at his peak. Other champions (Senna, Stewart) considered him the best ever.

    I hate this show. It saddens me that they have taken a huge budget and spunked it all on special effects instead of, say, hiring writers who can write. This new season is like one of those terrible new Star Wars shows where everything is dystopian. There is nothing original here. Everything has been a botched rehash of something from an old show - Harry Mudd, Section 31 (a clandestine outfit that now has a fleet of ships), mirror universe...and now they have taken a really shit episode of The Next Generation and based season 5 on it. I am so glad this is finishing.

    Some genius shithousery as well. Winning in Britain in the pits in '98 Qualifying on pole in Monaco in 2006, then parking his car on track to stop Alonso beating him. Getting marshalls to push him out of the gravel in 2003 instead of retiring. I loved all of these. But also, on the flip side: Lapped everybody in Brazil in 94 Second in Spain in 94 in a car that only had 5th gear Winning from 16th in Belgium in 95 Reeling in a 25 second gap in 19 laps in Hungary in 98 to win. And so many more.
