    Until I watched Inside Matchday I'd actually forgotten how "agricultural" Sibbald's tackle on Smith was at the end of the first half. Rightly booked. Hamilton's on the keeper was perhaps slightly less poor as the keeper wasn't travelling at any speed compared to Smith. Again he was also rightly booked.

    I understand fully those of you who are in favour of a standing area but when you look at that goal and all the angles from which it's viewed, you'll never see a more brilliant sight than the Turnbull and Penman stands rising in unison to acclaim Broony's worldie.     Who is supposed to be marking Watt? He's getting the freedom of the place. Coming deep picking up passes, allowed to turn and pass then on the move to create danger in the box. We're well under the cosh here and much is of our own doing.

    We are so open at the back but in particular right back that you wonder if Brown for Millen is the answer. United far quicker to get to the ball and have a hold on the game, yet somehow after twenty minutes were a goal up.

    Been a pleasure to divert the attention away from all the rumours and innuendos regarding which player has fallen foul of whom in the club. I'll be very happy to continue to be a pedant over Scotch whisky. As I said earlier, it's the one thing that seems to grind my gears. Very little else does.
