  1. We're also badly missing a threat from set-pieces. A couple of short free-kicks have paid dividends this season, but I think we've only scored in total one headed goal so far (Tait v Montrose) and the deliveries from Tait and Murray have been pretty awful. When you're as poor from open play as we were in the second half yesterday, you'd hope to pose some sort of a threat from the number of corners we had.
  2. Yeah I can see how that would make it more palatable. I prefer the smaller Spider-Man stories, so fancied playing through the main narrative and then treating the side stuff like disconnected/standalone sort of day-in-the-life Spider-Man situations. It was a good idea in theory but the side missions just didn't have enough to them to make that work. The main story was really strong, though, so it was good doing that without getting distracted. As fun as it is swinging through the world, the characters were what I enjoyed most about the first two games and their continuations are what I'm most interested in about this one (but not until the price drops).
  3. I'm quite glad I replayed the first one earlier in the year as it became a bit of a grind doing the same pish side missions over and over again, which sounds like it's an issue with this one too. Having that time between the two could help me enjoy the new one more.
  4. Fs, the smaller squads honestly put me off doing international saves.
  5. Robertson likely out until 2024: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/andy-robertson-injury-shoulder-liverpool-b2433167.html Here's hoping he's back for the March games.
  6. I find it a bit strange that Naismith only got 51 caps considering how long he was a Scotland player for. There are some players who in my head were mainstays for years but only got about 20-30 caps.
  7. Start the Scotland one now and let me know if they've finally increased the maximum squad sizes from 23. Thanks.
  8. I'd have King of Comedy as my favourite, but I'm on 13/25 so I'm not saying that with much confidence, especially as it's been a few since I watched most of those 13.
  9. Still a long way to go, and he's not the player he was 2-3 years ago, but I'd be surprised if Armstrong misses out. He features in pretty much every game, and certainly in every international window. He might also be our most natural winger at the moment.
  10. Gunn, Gordon, Kelly Hickey, Patterson, Porteous, Hendry, Hanley, McKenna, Tierney, Robertson McTominay, Gilmour, McGregor, McLean, Ferguson McGinn, Armstrong, Dykes, Adams, Christie, Brown Take your pick for the 23rd spot: Cooper, Souttar, Taylor, Jack, Nisbet, Shankland, Doak or Other
  11. That's quite annoying as I can't remember the last time we named an initial squad with just 23 players. A couple will be unlucky to miss out and some might sneak in based on their versatility. I wonder if Clarke will try and go with 23 in the next two camps or keep with larger squads to still give some players a chance to impress in training.
  12. Never seen us play a non-UEFA side so I'm all for that
  13. I'd honestly happily play San Marino in every qualifying campaign. Despite having quite a few dominant performances, we've really only dished out a couple of pumpings in the past few years.
  14. Think we might be playing a friendly away to Wales next year, perhaps in June. Don't quote me on that though.
  15. The first 15 minutes was the best first 15 minutes of all-time, but then the game went exactly as expected. Ferguson was a bit of a disappointment after his year-long hype campaign (including from me) and Gilmour seemed to struggle with the pitch. I actually thought McTominay was different class - much closer in performance to the French midfielders than his teammates - and, as mentioned, Brown was the biggest surprise of the lot. I completely understand that we need to test ourselves against these teams, but that doesn't mean we need to enjoy watching it. On the positive side, just under a month until the real football returns!
  16. You wouldn't be surprised to see that France lineup start in the final of the Euros, meanwhile it'd be a surprise to see that Scotland team start a pre-tournament friendly.
  17. I go to about one u21 game a year, and every single time I tell myself that I'm never going to another one.
  18. If they do end up playing, I'd imagine this is the reason why
  19. I think Clark or Kelly would be shite whether they're making their debut or not.
  20. Yeah in his press conference he mentioned making "a number of changes." Also spoke about some injury issues, but I'm not sure if the presser was before or after Hickey pulled out as there was no mention Max Johnston. Not sure how we'll line up but I'd go with something like this: Gunn Porteous Hendry McKenna Patterson McTominay Gilmour Taylor McGinn Adams Ferguson Then give Brown an hour or so. Not fussed if Cooper or Souttar come in for McKenna. It's always worth watching Gilmour from the start, even if he might get bullied in this game, but I'm fine with McGregor plays instead. Never been sold on the idea of McGinn and Ferguson in the two advanced roles, however if there's ever a game where we need three solid outlets in the front line then this is it.
  21. Norway could consider it similarly to how we viewed our November 2019 games against Cyprus and Kazakhstan which did see a lot of call-offs but were considered as opportunities to build momentum before our play-off game/s in March (which didn't quite materialise).
  22. It shouldn't be too hard to give every outfield player some minutes this international window if Clarke chooses to do that, but I agree with the above that Ferguson and Brown are the two who I'd be most interested in seeing, ideally with one from the start.
