  1. Accies used a picture of Ryan One to promote a game after he'd already left the club so I wouldn't be too sure of this.
  2. Always funny seeing a fan applauding earnestly after a defeat right next to someone going of their nut.
  3. @MarkoRaj Don't worry, brother, I knew what you were referencing.
  4. I find that very hard to believe given their subsequent post on this thread and the reaction from them and other Falkirk fans to a calm explanation from another poster last year.
  5. Rory Wilson's apparently a good prospect but not played any senior football.
  6. I've only seen him in a couple of u21 appearances so can't comment too much, but Clarke seems to be a fan so if he keeps scoring then it wouldn't be a surprise to see him in the first team squad soon enough.
  7. I remember thinking his videos at the start of the pandemic were straightforward and useful updates during a messy time. Hadn't really given him any thought since then - is it just a case of him getting a taste of fame/power and seeing this as an opportunity to prolong it?
  8. I was actually wondering today about the last time we didn't start at least one of them. Think it was Slovakia (A) in 2020 when McBurnie led the line.
  9. Nah definitely not. There's no place for bigotry in football or indeed life.
  10. So, as expected, it isn't a case of ignorance? You genuinely don't care that you posted a racial slur? Yes my post was removed but I completely stand by it. @AndrewFFC posting "Shut it tink" was embarrassing and I'm glad his post was removed, although it is strange that his was deemed out of line but yours was absolutely fine. I don't know which mod was responsible for that but I'm happy to take it up with them as per your advice.
  11. The height of Gauldmania was around March-June 2021 when he was getting a lot of plaudits for his Farense performances, however Clarke went with Turnbull for the Euros. I don't think selecting Turnbull ever worked out, so you could argue that Gauld deserved his place, but there was also a lot of clamour for Turnbull at that time due to his form for Celtic.
  12. Jacob Brown's gonna end up at the Euros, having been in the squad for 2-and-a-half years, and we'll still have no idea if he's actually any good.
  13. Pretty much as expected with returns for Cooper, Taylor and Brown; Anderson, Tierney and Shankland dropping out.
  14. Absolutely - I learned its origin from a post on here. Where this argument falls down, however, is that the racist nature of the word was already pointed out to Falkirk fans last year: The guy who initially used it yesterday, @NavyBlueArmy1876, didn't like it being called out back then either so he was clearly aware that it's racist. It's also worth pointing out that hapless moderator @Andy Dufresne banned the person above who called it out and liked a subsequent post containing the slur.
  15. While this is obviously true - a player can't contribute if they don't get a chance - Clarke is a clever guy and I usually trust him to know if a player will fit into his team based on what he's seen of them at club level. He'll make mistakes, and maybe overlooking Gauld has been one, but imo he's earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt.
  16. Just for the avoidance of doubt, that wasn't the racist part of the post. The mods have left it up if you want to have a look (although they have deleted @AndrewFFC's racism) but there's a term in there that's offensive against a particular group.
  17. Perennial losers Falkirk FC Fans chucking about racist terms on the Falkirk v Hamilton thread and lashing out at anyone who calls them out.
  18. It's not a good look for @AndrewFFC but I suppose we should let him explain himself before jumping to conclusions.
  19. Gone @ that Falkirk fan bragging about making a couple of Scottish Cup semi-finals due to beating Ayr United and Queen of the South in the quarters.
  20. I didn't actually realise it was as recent as that. I remembered it happening with John Souttar in August 2018 when he made his debut, then an iffy one in March 2022 where Hickey refused a call-up for the u21s before getting named in the senior squad a few days later. If Hickey hadn't refused then he presumably would've been called up for both.
  21. I just wonder if Clarke might see it almost as a response to last month's issue with Anderson. He said something along the lines of he likes Doak but thought it was the right time to bring in Anderson, so I wonder if, with Doak getting more game time and Anderson likely to drop out, he might see it fit to essentially try again with another good prospect. Plus there's a very slight chance that we might play with wingers in these games given what happened the last time we were missing one of Robertson/Tierney.
