  1. I wouldn't be surprised if McGinn plays that much football at all for us this season sadly, hopefully his op is a success but you kind of get the feeling that age, injuries to the same knee, ops, might finally catch up. Shame about Miller but as McGlynn says it's not season ending, he'll be a miss though, McKay I'm absolutely not arsed about and Mackie well it's another body I suppose and he should be back first. Glad we finally brought a right back in. Hopefully the boy does well when called upon.
  2. A right back is needed incase Yeats gets injured or suspended. Because the other option is McKay. That should be reason enough. Any way you look at it Mckay is the elephant in the room here, it's just a pity we can't get rid to free up a wage.
  3. I wasn't convinced by Hogarth latterly before he went back to Forest, obviously what was in front of him didn't help and Kinnear was worse. Bit surprised we brought him back but it's clearly been a family thing for Hogarth and thought sign for a year do well get another move. I still would have preferred a more experienced keeper at the end of last season, It didn't happen so we are where we are. I don't see Long getting dropped in his current form unless he gets an injury, suspension or recalled. For me he's a better keeper than Hogarth.
  4. True, I'm probably living in hope rather than expectation that we might get another right back in.
  5. Aye and immediately knew they'd been stung pardon the wasp pun. I doubt they'll be in a hurry to get another player from us as much you'd love to see big bad brad hamper their goal difference.
  6. I'll give you a greenie if and when it happens. Unless Arbroath are paying all his wages then I can't see it. That said it's not that outlandish, Campbell has a few quid banked at Arbroath, if he wants to chuck some of it at McKay for a season then fair do's.
  7. Not sure i'd drop Long based on one mistake and we were cruising at the time. He had a superb double save against Stirling, overall he's been excellent for us, and his distribution is getting better by the game. I think we'll be too strong for Edinburgh even if Miller is injured. 3-0 Falkirk
  8. A deserved point at that and had it not been for Brad McKay and their goal frame getting rattled a few times we would have won.
  9. This is what will kill us. Injuries to key players the quality of replacement isn't there.
  10. That was more straightforward than I thought. Alloa had no answer to us and couldn't cope overall, really should have scored more. Apart from one or two occasions including the goal they never laid a glove on us. Deserved 3 points.
  11. Aye and McKay continuing the trend each time he's on the pitch.
  12. The reason McKay left them was because he wanted to be closer to the central belt, I doubt he'd be in a hurry to go back up to that neck of the woods. He also wasn't a firm favourite with the ICT fans. You'd think he'd want to be playing week in week out but given he's already had two years wages out us he might be happy sitting on the bench till next summer then worry about his next move. It's not as if there's loads of centre halves in front of him. A suspension or injury to Lang or Donaldson or Yeats and he's straight back in. I think most would be glad to see the back of him but I fear we might have to wait till January at least.
  13. Lol a quick Google search says they haven't exactly gotten off to a great start no wins in four games, signed 16 new players, dishing out 3 year deals and ex QoS and Dunfermline player Pybus has been jettisoned for not wanting to play.
  14. Considering Rangers were trying to sell Kennedy and his destination seemed to be America not too long ago I think it's safe to assume that.
  15. A hangover from last season's playoffs perhaps? Still expect a difficult game, obviously you'll know all about MacIver and his strengths and weaknesses, hopefully your defence pays all it's attention to him which allows our other attacking threats more influence.
  16. Alloa don't seem to have had a great start to the season, I'm assuming they have lost too many players in the close season for one reason or another and the replacements aren't as good/still finding their feet. I'd almost forgot Steven "the crab" Hetherington was back at them. I think we will win this by a couple of goals although Sammon will still need to be watched.
  17. He'll probably be back up the road at some point next season. York doesn't seem to be much of a happy place in terms of Scottish players/managers, Aidan Connolly and Jackie McNamara spring to mind. Although I think they've got new owners now.
  18. Who was the side? Surely not a championship team?
  19. Anyone any idea why McKay wasn't in the squad tonight? Besides the fact he's dugshite.
  20. I'll hold my hands up I thought he was a poor signing given his goals record. But the boy looks a decent player and we seem to be playing to his strengths. He reminds me a bit of Brian Graham, bit to go yet there though.
  21. Hopefully in the process of pissing off to pastures new but more than likely injured.
  22. We absolutely need to wrap Spencer in cotton wool though, god forbid he gets injured.
  23. Why? What were you expecting because on your teams showing tonight there was nothing to suggest you'll do much in this league unless it was just an off night for you guys. You never laid a glove on us. I will say the boy Milne worked his socks off up and down his side all night for little reward.
  24. That was comfortable. Game done at half time, Stirling were never in it bar the double save from Long they offered nothing. Couldn't cope with us in the first half. Only gripe is expected a few more goals in the second half but we just played it out. Maybe the Aberdeen game took a bit out them but expected a much harder game.
