  1. Doyle has a decent engine on him he'll run all day, his crossing leaves a lot to be desired, and he's not the best defensively, but he'll put a shift in, he's a bit of a fitness freak I recall him doing exercise videos at home during COVID restrictions for the club FB page, he's also a bit of a joker in the dressing room. At the time I wasn't bothered when we let him go only to find his replacement/upgrade was Scott Mercer who was absolute dross.
  2. Hopefully Burrell does us a favour by getting the winner.
  3. I'd feel a bit happier if Spencer and Morrison were fit, that said we didn't need them yesterday. 3-1 Falkirk
  4. Even better laugh that Rice seems to be taking Alloa backwards. I'd also add that you are now seeing the utter no mark that is Hetherington in all his pomp.
  5. Buy it anyway it helps the club out that's what I do, I'm at the age of being past wearing football tops as regular attire but I do give them an airing if I'm on holiday abroad.
  6. Long long way to go. It's not like we are over the hill and far away. There will be more points dropped between now and the end of the season.
  7. Anyone any update on Long's injury? I hope it's nothing serious because he's been excellent for us. No offence to Hogarth who's a competent enough keeper but I'd much rather have Long in goal.
  8. O'Hara has never been prolific his entire career bar a purple patch at Alloa. Long may it continue you persevere with him up front it's good news for us.
  9. Let go Hogarth he's not had a sniff and tbh didn't come here to sit on the bench, . Mackie, McGinn, Oliver, Mckay can all go for one reason or another. McCann I'd try and keep but I just don't think McGlynn favours him if he had a better left back which to all intents and purposes Mackie was meant to be. I'd try and keep Henderson,Yeats, Donaldson. Lawal is a conundrum, and I'd be trying to get Morrison on at least another year if I was McGlynn because on current form it won't have gone unnoticed.
  10. I'd say he's one of them. But those type of accolades are normally handed out at the end of the season. Long way to go yet. There's a few decent players in this league.
  11. We are missing a few hence not as much on the bench. Nesbitt, Miller, McKay(cough), McGinn are all injured at the moment. Mackie is only just back. Ross hasn't played a lot of football at Raith. Game was poor though, as much as we never really looked like scoring neither did Hamilton. A point apiece was a fair result and played in dreadful weather.
  12. Shite game, shite weather, didn't lose and still top of the league. Long way to go.
  13. Can't really call this I've a feeling it might be a draw, that said I think both teams will go for it. If we are absolutely at it I think our forward line causes more problems and scores more goals. A loss isn't a disaster for either side still a long way to go , but you need to win your home games or at worst don't lose and I don't think we will. It should be an absolute cracker though.
  14. 3-1 Bairns. Morrison, MacIver and Agyeman. Hester for Montrose. Be a tough game it always is but I think we might just have too much. Any sort of win will do really before the Accies game.
  15. Only if it means promotion. Fail and I think he's gone. I think McGlynn has to get us up this season I dont think he gets a third time lucky.
  16. Tbh for our first goal you were warned moments earlier when MacIver headed past when he probably should have scored with O'Ware caught on his heels only for Henderson to do a carbon copy but score. Never a penalty but we'll take it seeing as how we hardly got any last season, the third goal was a total clanger from Gourlay although he earned his wages by pulling of some great saves to prevent a complete hiding. Great hit from the Kelty lad for your goal one of those the keeper just doesn't save. We were much better second half especially after Alfie came on, great shot resulting in a tap in for MacIver and Nesbitt's goal was a great hit, keeper no chance. I thought Kelty had a go tbh without really causing us too many issues but first half we weren't really at it despite being 3-1 up at half time. All in all a comfortable win against a side who we struggled against last season.
  17. That was another comfortable win, but Agyeman makes such a difference to us. Just give him the ball he's too big too strong and causes havoc. Mention to Gourlay he had a clanger for the third goal but he didn't let it affect him too much and saved Kelty from a bigger thumping than they got.
  18. McGlynn wants Mackie first choice at left back full stop. For one reason or another it hasn't happened thank god. Both he and McCann are out of contract at the end of the season and regardless of which League we are in McGlynn( if he's still the manager) gives Mackie another contract over McCann then there needs to be a stewards enquiry, Mackie is rank rotten at left back and he's got no chance of getting a game at centre half . On the game I think it's safe to assume Agyeman is still out. Think we win by two goals. MacIver and Morrison
  19. He does love talking himself up, usually on sportsound if he's a guest presenter for just about any job that comes up, he's getting very much into don't touch with a bargepole territory now though and the only one that doesn't see it is himself. But he knows the fun-de-mentals
  20. Someone on the coyb page said he's got fluid on the knee and is out for a few weeks. Take from that what you will.
  21. Their home form hasn't been great, they have a better away record, I think they were unbeaten on their travels prior to yesterday. Hopefully they turn the home form around next week and get a win against Accies.
  22. Injuries might be as big a threat to our title aspirations as Hamilton tbh. We don't have a huge squad and are already missing a few. I think had Miller and Agyeman been playing today we'd have been a totally different animal. But yeah so far it looks like a two horse race between us and Accies, and if we are still neck and neck by the time we play them it should be an absolute cracker.
  23. We'd have dropped points in a game like that last season, massive 3 points especially when Hamilton also got a late winner when it looked like they were dropping points.
