  1. I think more was made out the clip when Donaldson tried to clean out the ball and man and completely missed, we were wide open they score and McGinn is meandering back in a half walk/jog looking like a Sunday league player after a night on the sesh. Cue players standing wondering who's fault it was. Sound familiar?
  2. Falkirk had a come from behind 2-1 win against Civil Service Strollers with Jordan Allan scoring twice. Also heard we beat St Johnstone 1 -0 in a behind closed doors game with Calumn Morrison the scorer. No trialists against CSS.
  3. According to @Bainsfordbairn Watson hasn't been seen so reckons he's away.
  4. When McKay joined us it was also because he wanted to be closer to the central belt, if he has been told he is free to move on if he can find a club then there's not a huge amount of options, championship wise and locality maybe Airdrie? League 1 Accies, Alloa, Edinburgh? Not sure what type of wage he'd have got thrown at him by Holt for three years.
  5. I still can't believe we got decent money for Mark Stewart albeit it took an absolute age to get it.
  6. I can't speak for Annan or Stirling but usually if it was a rearranged midweek league game their was a ppv option from the home side last season that anyone could purchase, obviously can't anymore on Saturday league games . There are a few games on BBC Alba this season aswell.
  7. I was going to say Josh O'Connor but see he's joined Airdrie on loan. Only other one that's been mentioned is Laidlaw, unless it's someone from their u18 squad.
  8. Morton fans aren't that gutted he's left tbh. Now that usually resonates with most fans that a player leaves "ach he's pish" "no loss" etc unless that player is very good then your " massive loss" " etc. We will have gave him a decent contract we have to anyway to get players to play in league one. If we don't go up this season I really hope there are clauses in those contracts and all with the club.
  9. Hamilton have never had a decent support even when they were in the Premiership. Livi the same all it would take for them is to get relegated and spend a season or two in the championship and you'd see a drop off.
  10. I must admit I dropped out it when Holt was still here and didn't get emptied when Sheerin did. Point of principle cos I thought and still do that Holt is a p***k. Have since rejoined.
  11. We have one of the most loyal fanbases going which is just aswell given some of the utter pish on the park for seasons on end. You just hope one season it actually clicks and the team do something but it just never happens. Various reasons for it ofcourse but when I watched the Hamilton v Airdrie playoffs one thing that struck me was or a few things really, these guys are busting a gut, they have ability, they are well coached, the tempo is high even after extra time, good players on both sides. None of which applies to us despite us selling lots of season tickets every season you get served the same tripe. It's the living in hope that kills you because the end game is always the same.
  12. I think there would be a lot more optimism if we didn't finish the season miles behind Dunfermline which really shouldn't have happened given our budget and culminating in form being dreadful for months leading up to the semi and playoffs where we failed miserably to turn up. Allied to some of McGlynn's quite bizarre ramblings at times and blaming everything bar himself. I wanted McGlynn gone at the end of last season, he's got one last shot at getting us up but looking at his stats it doesn't make great reading. I just don't see us going up with him at the helm unfortunately. I hope I'm proved wrong.
  13. I wouldn't have kept Oliver or Nesbitt. Spencer and McGinn does worry in the fact they will be too similar and we have had that in midfield before it doesn't work. I don't see McGlynn being able to shift any players out unless it's loans for some of the younger ones. McKay will see out the year left he has supposing it's on the bench, the only saleable asset we have is Morrison and if he really was that good he'd have been off by now.
  14. Seven. Lang, Spencer, Hogarth, Long (on loan) Agyeman, Miller, MacIver. Just hope there isn't only one more to come in.
  15. Seems to be saying we aren't far off it. There's fucking no chance we are going up with the squad as it stands nowhere near it. And retaining most of last season's best failures whether by luck or design doesn't help.
  16. Swinney's interview on the whole pretty decent apart from squad update. Hope to get above and beyond last season's player budget but at the moment it's short. And that numbers are pretty close to what we are going with. Concerning.
  17. Cracking away effort, agree with others swap the sky blue trim for red and i think I might prefer it to the home one.
  18. Interesting that, as Rankin has said he wants all Hamilton players to be his own and doesn't favour the loan market. Which I kind of get if you know what your getting from your permanent signings. Sadly for us I don't think McGlynn knows his arse from his elbow.
  19. Squad is nowhere near good enough as it stands. We need more than a right back.
  20. Wash your mouth out with soap we will never miss Nesbitt. Although I did never even noticed he wasn't in the squad.
  21. I wouldn't be so sure, McGlynn had Tumilty at Raith I'd hazard a guess he was right up there on his list of targets for right back.
  22. The boy Smith looked a decent player tbh from what I saw of him in the playoff final second leg.
