  1. You'd imagine McGlynn has at least one signing lined up if we have offloaded Wilson and Ross. One or two others heading out wouldn't go amiss either. McGuffie next please.
  2. Jefferies was a master at wheeling and dealing though. Lambie was the polar opposite he let the better players go and replaced them with shite.
  3. There's no point weakening ourselves by accepting something like 30k for one of our better players when we like Dundee are going for promotion in our respective leagues. 100k would be more suitable, and at least let us strengthen a few positions, namely a replacement for him, a striker and a midfielder. That's probably the only way I'd let him go.
  4. There's a lot more I'd rather see out the door first. Any deal involving Morrison should come with a a stipulation of having to take any two from Ross, McGuffie, Hetherington, Sneddon, Malcolm or Nesbitt.
  5. I think a lot will depend on what kind of fee is involved and can McGlynn get the right player(s) in. For all Morrison is frustrating as f**k at times he has got pace and that is a scarce commodity at this level.
  6. If we are still in league 1 next season I think it's an absolute certainty we will be running with a smaller first team squad. Definitely think we need a midfielder and a striker in this window if we really want to at least get a play off place. Think McGlynn hoped he could maybe have kept Hogarth in one of his interviews but that Forest had "moved the goalposts" which they are entirely entitled to do he's their player. Be interesting to see if Rangers do similar with Kennedy and Alegria. Hopefully not.
  7. He'd be a decent signing, unfortunately I doubt we will sign anyone permanently unless we can shift more of the dross out the door. More likely to be loans.
  8. It would be just our luck to go there and win and then lose the next game.
  9. If the tabloids are to be believed there are a few teams down south and up here looking at maybe signing Kennedy on a pre contract. Whether that might transpire into a permanent transfer in January remains to be seen. It's entirely conceivable of course Rangers could get offers for him and Alegria and we could be two players down. Which would leave us scratching about trying to get replacements added to trying to get shot of one or two more of the dross we have under contract. Could yet be a busy month for McGlynn.
  10. It's alright saying an overweight Griffiths couldn't cut it across there but fairly certain he was playing in the A league. If Wilson is playing at a lot lower level then he might actually resemble a footballer.
  11. Pity he can't get Hetherington, Ross, McGuffie, Sneddon and Nesbitt a gig over there aswell.
  12. Alloa 1-2 Kelty QoS 1-1 Clyde Airdrie 1-2 Edinburgh Dunfermline 1-1 Falkirk Peterhead 1-2 Montrose
  13. Take the ball scudding into the pars net off Benedictus arse in the last minute if it means three points. We simply have to win this, draw is really no use to us either.
  14. Agreed very weird game. Still too many not good enough and there was no way anybody saw us winning that 5-2. I'm not so sure we got better as opposed to managerless QoS folding like a deck of cards. Ultimately it's three points. On to EEP when absolutely every player will need to be on point.
  15. Clyde 2-2 Alloa Falkirk 3-1 QoS Montrose 2-2 Airdrie Kelty 1-3 Dunfermline Edinburgh 2-0 Peterhead
  16. Wilson was a truly awful signing and ability wise nowhere near good enough, he even struggled for game time on loan at Elgin. Can't blame him for signing the two year contract he got offered but he contributed absolutely nothing bar some comedy moments. Hopefully the start of one or two others heading for the exit door.
  17. Agyeman looks a useful player. I'm not sure I'd want any of Tidser, Higginbotham or Austin back though. I think a lot will depend on what league we are in next season, if it's league 1 I wouldnt be surprised if we go hybrid. Lose at EEP in new year and there's a decent chance it will be.
  18. I'll guess Wilson, Ross, Williamson and Hetherington.
  19. You can add Williamson and Nesbitt to that list. Sneddon is already out on loan, the aforementioned Williamson and Wilson are both injured and I'd be amazed if either of them kick another ball for us. Hogarth will be away back to Forest in January now that PJ is back fit. But striker, right back and midfielder required. Don't think we will get any of them.
  20. There's still a good few under contract beyond the end of this season, Mackie, Henderson, Donaldson, McCann, Yeats, Morrison, McKay, and I think a few with year options Oliver, PJ, so the nucleus of a squad is there. You'd assume Hogarth will be away back to Forest in January. I doubt we'll sign anyone in January unless we can shift a few which I don't see happening.
  21. Not overly confident about this one. Expecting a much tougher game than the one at the TFS. I think might be a good few goals in this. We cant keep chucking points away when Dunfermline do. They have a hard game at Airdrie so really hoping for three points here.
  22. Airdrie 1-1 Dunfermline Alloa 2-3 Falkirk Edinburgh 2-1 Montrose Peterhead 0-2 Clyde QoS 1-1 Kelty
  23. I must admit I was one who thought we should have got rid of him, but happy to eat humble pie he's like a totally different player. I did think he'd struggle to keep his place after McGlynn signed Mackie to play left back but if anything it's only made McCann better.
  24. I wouldn't be offering any of Holt's remnants new deals bar maybe trying to get McCann to sign an extension. Clear the decks time again and let McGlynn bring his own players in.
